This lovely spot is well suited for walks to Old Montreal, shopping on St Catherine St and Notre Dame Basilica. The decor is clean and well designed. Beds are comfy and staff is friendly and helpful. I'd recommend staying here.

The hotel is very new and the service is very good. Unfortunately, many facilities are not open due to the epidemic, but because they have great facilities, I will definitely go again after the epidemic.

Don't recommend this hotel. This hotel doesn't even deserve 1 star, should be -5 (negative 5) out of +5 (positive 5). Unless you plan to pay a high price for a ”slump” experience, look no further, this is it. My first time to Montreal and will not visit again because of terrible experiences in this hotel. Reasons: 1) Did not honor what's advertised. Expedia stated that it offers valet parking, but it's not. It's self-park. I would not have stayed in this hotel had it not listed ”valet parking” as part of package price. 2) Concierge staff, Mikal, provided unclear and vague information on garage entrance location. Had to ask three times before Mikal walked a bit further to point the side entrance. It's off the street, had he not pointed it out, I would have missed it. I did not see it when I drove by when arriving at the hotel. 3) Made no efforts in guarding customer confidentiality and data: Lack of clear boundary on who can and can't stand behind the front desk counter: This made me feel uncomfortable seeing how any staff, housekeeping, security, front desk, guest services, even manager, Tamara's friend could stand behind the front desk counter to look at any computers and customers' information and data. This could come across as careless handling of customer confidentiality and data. There were two boxes with customer room assignment and data at the counter, even guests in line would easily access if they want to. At one point, there wasn't any staff at the front desk or in the lobby, all gone, with guests waiting, which if they want, they could easily access customer info. The hotel staff don't seem to care. For example, when Tamara checking me, Carl, Jason, Axel, Mikal and Tarama's friend all came over to peek over Tamara's computer with my profile and data on the screen. 4) Lack of sensitivity and priority: Housekeeping Carl, Front Desk Staff: Axel, and Jason, Concierge: Mikal, Manager, Tamara, were all busy doing their own things. At one point, there were 12-15 guests in line with Jason working alone while other staff focusing on other tasks rather than checking in guests to clear the waiting line. 5) Tamara offered me an upgrade, which was a terrible upgrade. Gave me things I did not need and a run-down and dirty room full of issues: hairs all over, dented walls, dented refrigerator, dark room, dirty sinks, food residuals on the chair, dirty carpet, warm (not hot) shower temperature, dusty surface, dirty walls., lack of enough electrical outlet, and many more (recorded with videos). 6) Negative attitude by some staff such as Axel, accusing me being disrespectful and screaming at him when I was not. He hung up my phone call abruptly three times when I called from the landline to raise cleanliness issues after arriving the assigned room. Axel also did not practice active listening. When I called I was hoping they could help locate a clean chair. Axel did not wait until I was done talking by cutting me off saying, ”Jason, seems t

I always love the Hilton chain. Being a Hilton Honours member, o always get treated like royalty. Quality of service and accommodations are always predictable which applies to this property. The room was large with a great jet tub. Bed and pillows were great with a fireplace in the bedroom. This is great for a romantic get away.

The newly opened hotel is located in the city center and is connected to the HR mall. It is convenient for shopping and eating. The rooms and facilities are very new, the decoration style is relatively modern, and the service staff is very enthusiastic. Compared with Ritz Carlton not far away, the price is better at the same time. Overall, the experience is good, value for money, after all, the price is not cheap.

This hotel is considered to be decorated in North America with great care. The suite I ordered was very worthwhile. I ordered the decoration. After I came back, I didn't think about that city but this hotel! During the epidemic, hotels are stricter on wearing masks and temperature checks

We stayed at the Hotel Place d'Armes for four nights. We stayed there primarily because of its location. We were not disappointed. Right in the heart of Old Montreal, the hotel was perfectly located (across from the plaza of the same name) for what we wanted to see and do. In addition, it had a reputation as a nice upscale hotel that treated its guests well. We weren't disappointed there either. When we arrived by cab, Carl greeted us at the door, relieved us of luggage, and ushered us to Jolemie who checked us in and assigned us to a room (in building two) that was tastefully and comfortably furnished. She answered all our questions in a friendly manner and gave us tips about the area. Carl brought bags to our room, made sure we saw all the features, explained how things worked, and then left us to relax. The next day we met Sam, another staff member in the reception area, who answered more of our questions, gave suggestions about where to go, what to do, where to eat. These three individuals set the tone for our stay and made it a positive experience. But, let's be honest, no hotel is perfect so we did encounter a couple of glitches I should note. My wife and I are tea drinkers. While there was a coffeemaker in the room, there was no tea kettle or tea. There was coffee in the lobby, but there too, there was no hot water. Okay, we can live with that; we just went to a local cafe, but that meant going out a little earlier than we wanted to. The other thing was a bit strange. Saturday morning we asked the concierge to please make dinner reservations for us a particular popular restaurant. A few hours later we got a call from him that the restaurant was all booked up. But we went to the restaurant anyway thinking that there's always room for walk-ins even if we have to wait. We were right. There was room. And we didn't have to wait. We were seated immediately and enjoyed our meal. But, we have to ask, why wouldn't a knowledgeable concierge suggest just walking in. No matter. We still like Hotel Place d'Armes and would recommend it. Thank you Jolemie, Carl, and Sam..

Fabulous Hôtel Place d'Armes October 2022 My sister and I stayed October 15th to 20th. The Hotel is fabulous, and the staff was exceptional. Very friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. The evening supervisor, Amine. was superb. He checked us in, and on our last night he made a point of finding us (in the lovely hotel bar Brasserie 701) to say goodbye and thank us for staying with them. After we had checked in, we asked if it would be possible to be moved to a room with a bath. Amine said that they could accommodate us the next day, as they were fully booked. We were moved the next after noon into a suite with a gorgeous jetted bath tub. When we checked out we noticed that there we had not been charged for the upgrade -no increase in cost. That was an unexpected surprise. The beds are extremely comfortable, and the room clean and very quiet. Also, the location couldn't have been better to sight see old Montreal. I will definitely visit again!

Before departure, there were few reviews of the hotel. I checked in with doubt and entered the lobby from the old-fashioned high-end feeling at the gate. Although it is not like the luxurious lobby of some big-name chain hotels, the small and exquisite lobby of Burks instantly attracted people. After checking in smoothly, I went to the room. Although I chose the most ordinary room, I was attracted by the elegant and simple decoration and supplies. The color is mainly elegant in white, gray, and black. There are Nestle coffee machines and JBL in the room. Bluetooth audio and other small equipment, toilet equipment is also very high-end, also has slippers rare in Canadian hotels. Bedding feels particularly comfortable, and is more comfortable than Fairmont's. The hotel is located in the most lively area of Canada. Turn left and then turn left to the commercial street. There is lesuire shopping mall diagonally opposite. There are western food such as five guys and McDonalds. 20 minutes, observation platform observation360 is in the building behind the hotel. The hotel service is also very good, the doorman and front desk manager are very friendly, really pushing this one

I really don't know how to comment. The hardware facilities of this hotel are very good. But before going to bed at night, I uncovered the quilt and found that there were several hairs on the sheets, and it felt like the little black dregs falling from the sweater. It was changed in time after contacting the front desk. It was really very depressing. This kind of price is a bit depressing, and everything else is OK.

This Hotel turned out to be the best hotel experience we have had! The decor of the hotel is just amazing, the most beautiful woodwork I have ever seen, with other areas being beautifully modern! From the minute we walked in we were taken care of! Our car, our bags and check in were so easy, front desk was excellent! The room was immaculate, very comfortable and a beautiful high end bathroom! The gym is all new equipment and perfect for a workout! Bar George is a great lively bar! We had brunch and lunch in the Bar during our stay and it was delicious! We also ate at the Restaurant and it was an amazing dining experience! They just don't make French food like this anymore!! HUGE compliments to the kitchen!! There was not one staff member that wasn't helpful and so pleasant!! My husband and I agreed that we would go back to Montreal just to stay in this hotel and to dine here again!!

From the moment we arrived, we were very impressed with this hotel. The doorman Chris greeted us and took care of our car, luggage and questions. He was very accommodating and helpful. He is a huge asset. The room was state-of-the-art with both electronics and great bathroom. The toilets are actually heated and the shower was off-the-charts. The room was very comfortable. We then grabbed a drink at the unique bar in the hotel. The ambiance at the bar was a mix of old world charm and european flavor. Great service, drinks and bartender. The restaurant, which we did not eat at, looked great! Highly recommend the bar! The hotel is centrally located to bars, restaurants, and everything you need. We had a great stay - service by all was above and beyond!

Good things first - the hotel is nicely renovated, the rooms are functional and generous, the gym is very good and the location is very convenient. What was not so great is the feeling that you’re being ripped off at every turn and the staff couldn’t care less about you or your stay. Some relatively minor but irritating experiences totally coloured my impression of the Marriott group to the extent that I would actively avoid staying at one in the future. 1. We arrived at 9.50pm for check in (plane delayed) and were told the kitchen would be open until 10:30. The wait staff said the kitchen was closed when we asked for some food, when pushed on when they took last orders they admitted that they had taken an order a minute previously but couldn’t take our order. There was no room service, they wouldn’t even give us olives or crackers. Had to go to bed hungry. 2. My bags had been lost in the airport and I asked reception if they had toothbrush sets I could use. They said they would send to my room. Never did. 3. I asked reception what time the clothing stores opened in Montreal (to buy clothes as I didn’t have any bags) I was told 9am but everything opened at 10 as I found out the next morning. If they didn’t know, they could have said rather than making it up and wasting my time. 4. The restaurant was ferociously expensive with $30 for breakfast and then they asked if I wanted a cappucino and did not highlight that it was $6 extra and not included In the price. 5. A lot of hanging around trying to get staff attention while they chatted and did other jobs while ignoring me. 6. Charging to hold luggage and insisting that we pay in cash. 7. Generally being really unhelpful about everything and wheedling money out of us at every turn. 8. No reasonably priced food options. Food quality not matching prices. 9. Not replenishing the drinking water in the rooms so had to pay for vending machine water. Urgh. It just left me feeling used and broke!

This is another example for you on how a renovation could change the character of a hotel, even a legacy-branded one. The dull old rooms were completely gone, and replaced with brand new design touches. Although room sizes can't really be changed through a reno and still were lagging behind, the rooms are now much better appointed and the amount of smart technology (elevator, smart toilet etc.) was truly unexpected in a North American Marriott built 60 years ago. Service was also good, only thing I found lacking was the lounge - it wasn't stocked that well during my stay, and afternoon service ended early because they ran out of food. However, this is hardly an issue as the hotel is very centrally located for everything. I would have been very disappointed though if I paid for lounge access out of pocket. Overall I‘d say this hotel was probably one of the biggest (pleasant) surprises I had during this trip - not much was expected considering how the old Chateau Champlain looked like. Hopefully during my next visit I get a chance to enjoy it a bit more with the hotel and the lounge not being so busy.

This W is quite small, the lobby is not big, but the style of W is still there. The ordinary wonderful rooms are really common to the truth, and it seems like a magnified version of the domestic hotel. The small suite is OK, so you can. The location is next to the old port, the location is quite good. There is a small bar on the second floor of the hotel, but there is basically no one on the second floor.

The hotel is a bit stylish and suitable for business trips. Very close to Chinatown and the Old Town.
