This hotel was truly the highlight of my trip to Japan. Nestled on the hillside, the views from the window are breathtaking, especially from the infinity pool where you can overlook most of Beppu. It gives you a sense of serene detachment from the urban clamor, as if you're uniquely clear-headed amidst a busy world. During our stay, there were occasional showers, and after the rain, the mountains would often become shrouded in mist, making the landscape incredibly dynamic – sometimes clear and picturesque, other times beautifully hazy and ethereal. The hotel's hot springs (onsen) are another major feature. The male and female baths are separate, ensuring privacy, and each has its own outdoor bath. What's more, the male and female sections switch over daily, so if you stay two nights, you get to experience both unique bath areas. The hotel also provides guests with traditional Japanese yukata robes and geta (wooden clogs). Regarding transportation, since the hotel is on a hillside, they offer a shuttle bus. However, it's small with limited seating, so reservations are essential. What's fantastic is that if you can't reserve a spot, the hotel *provides a taxi free of charge*. Let me emphasize that: free, free, free! So, the only potential inconvenience of staying here is perfectly addressed. While the standard breakfast selection is decent, they also have a 'hidden menu' – definitely ask for it!

It was my first ryokan experience and the best lodging experience. The semi-open-air bath inside the room and the family bath outside can be temperature-controlled, and it was nice that I could use them freely whenever I wanted. The course meal served for dinner and breakfast were all brought to the room. The taste was also good, and the course meal for dinner was especially delicious. They also set up the bedding for me. The staff were so kind that I thought they were overly kind. It was really good! I would visit again.

The JR Fukuoka Limited Express Sonic takes about 2 hours to JR Beppu Station. After exiting the station, you will be directed to the Tourist Information Center at the east exit. You can ask the lady to contact the hotel for pick-up service. The hotel's shuttle buses are all at the west exit, and the receptionist can look for them according to the advertisement on the bus. It's only a 10-minute drive away. ❗️The warm lobby of the hotel houses Japanese-style villas, which are very small in size and have an outdoor hot spring and golden hot spring! ! A hot spring with gold nuggets on the ground. I haven't seen any guests for two days and one night, so I'm enjoying it alone. There is a changing room before entering the hot spring, which is fully heated. It is commendable 👍🏾One stay and two meals. For dinner, the staff will come to remind you, and the banquet will be prepared with about 10 dishes. Breakfast the next day was also a 🈚️ oil and water set meal. The service was absolutely impeccable, truly embodying Japanese hospitality; they were incredibly polite and attentive. They also offer a complimentary shuttle service to the station, which you can book in advance. For dinner, the Kaiseki meal is offered at two sittings (6 PM and 6:30 PM), requiring a day's advance reservation. Teppanyaki is also an option. Drinks are charged separately. For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese or Western style; we all went for the Japanese option. It was incredibly plentiful and came with a large bowl of rice – so hearty that we practically skipped lunch afterwards! The room itself was a bit dated, but perfectly clean and tidy. The private in-room onsen was incredibly convenient for a relaxing soak whenever we liked. Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell) is just a 3-minute walk north from the hotel entrance, which was extremely convenient.

Drove to the hotel so location wasn’t an issue but what a luxurious resort stay for the family! The dinner buffet options were plenty with roasted beef, seafood and plenty of alcohol options. The indoor water slides and wave pool provided much entertainment for kids and they definitely enjoyed it. Bedrooms were comfortable and relatively newly renovated so we enjoyed the stay a lot. Will definitely drop by again if there’s a chance!

Located right on top of a hill. Seaview is pretty far from hotel room... Thus nothing much to see anyway. As the Onsen is actually a bathtub attached to the inroom shower, the sulphur smell is very strong alike rotten eggs. Stayed for one night and is a good experience.

Love this place! Our glamping experience was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how well everything was set up. The tent was spacious, cozy, and beautifully furnished, with all the comforts of a hotel room but surrounded by nature. The location was perfect—nestled in nature with stunning views and just the right amount of seclusion for a peaceful escape. We were thrilled to find a campfire pit for cozy evenings, even though the rain meant we couldn’t use it. The sound of raindrops on the tent was surprisingly relaxing, though!

In general, the price of S3,000 per night is too bad for the price-performance ratio. We booked one night and two meals. The breakfast variety is acceptable. The only meat is a pitiful amount of fried pork belly. There is no cooked food. Then there is rice, porridge, and noodle soup. The fruits are kiwis, bananas, oranges, and red-fleshed oranges that are cut into small pieces. There are only these four kinds. Although there is nothing to eat in the morning, it is good to have rice to fill your stomach. Dinner is even worse. You have to buy alcohol and drinks by yourself. The set meal has six dishes, and the plating is very small and not delicate. My husband is not full every night, so he has to go back to the hotel for instant noodles after dinner. The hot spring water is very good and the open-air hot spring is also very comfortable. Except for the fake politeness of the front desk every time they passed by, there was no service at all.
