Our experience was terrible! We usually seek to stay at Hiltons because they hold a high standard of service, maintenance and cleanliness. We have stayed at many Hiltons and have always been pleased with our experience. However, this was definitely not the case with this hotel. I booked the hotel on the phone and was sold a room with a confirmation number provided that was actually not available once we arrived. The GM at the front desk stated that a similar room with a king size bed and sleep sofa would accommodate our family even after I told her my kids were high school age. However, upon entering the room we realized the sleep “sofa” was actually the size of a loveseat and would not really sleep 2 people (maybe if they were toddlers). Also, immediately we found the room was not very clean or maintained well (stains on walls and carpet, dirty carpet, cracked mirror, grimy bathroom tile floor and surfaces. Definitely not worth the high room rate. Because of the condition of the room and the bedding situation I asked the GM at the front desk for a refund but she told us that because my wife used the bathroom that no refund would be given. There was no attempt to make our stay better and no attempt to even help the situation. She simply stated “there’s nothing I can do”. My wife ended up driving over an hour back home just to get good sleep and then drove back the next morning. So obviously that makes me extremely frustrated. Not only was our room not well maintained and clean but we could also hear the conversation of the people in the room above us and when they flushed the toilet it sounded like a waterfall next to me. The only positive was a large tv on the room and free coffee (not even complimentary breakfast is offered). Definitely not worth the extremely high rate. This is definitely not the standard I know Hilton holds to their staff and quality of their hotels. So I will consider staying at other Hiltons but definitely not this hotel ever again. I should’ve read other reviews before booking the hotel as this seems to be the standard.

Very clean and well kept. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Rooms are modern and comfortable beds. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to anyone in the future. The area is in a great place also.

The best hotel experience in years! Upon arrival we were pleasantly greeted and welcomed and offered bottled water. Check in and check out were efficient. Hotel was very clean and bright and breakfast was included, with many hot and cold options. Restaurants and shopping were nearby. Tea and coffee station in lobby with daily newspaper was appreciated. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Full sized soaps and lotions mounted to the walls in tub and at bathroom sink. Microwave and small refrigerator were nice. Just a few miles from 95 was convenient and quiet. Outdoor pool was nice when in season. Pet friendly was a great option for those traveling with pets. Will definitely return when traveling and highly recommend this Hampton Inn and Suites Fredericksburg-at Celebrate Virginia.

I sent the below email to the General Manager three times and he just doesn't care. He has ignored my email three times. I have stayed at different Holiday Inns for many years and was shocked at what I experienced at your hotel during my stay. I understand the building is under renovation, but that is not an excuse to not pick up the trash around the exterior of the building as well as clean the interior of rooms. To start, as soon as we arrived and got out of my pickup truck, my wife and I noticed a lot of trash as we approached the lobby entrance. It really looked like a trashy hotel. We were very upset and my wife wanted to cancel the reservation, but I reminded her that if we did we would lose the money, so we entered and walked toward the front desk. We continued seeing more trash. We checked in around 8:30 pm. We got our keys and headed to the room. Once in the room, there were more issues. We opened the curtains and saw what appear to be bird poop on the other side of the windows, the inside back of the microwave was dirty, the carpet was dirty with red stains and had some holes in it. The toilet bowl has serious stains in it which makes it looks filthy. The toilet paper roll was placed on top of the toilet tank because there was not TP holder. In addition, there was a worker making loud noises at that time of night. Also, when we went to take a shower, the water was not hot; it was barely warm. While taking the shower, the bathtub started getting clogged. Water was above my ankles. I started moving the bathtub stopper and it was obvious that it did not work because it just came off. After it came off, the water started going down. Also, the chair in the room has stains on it. The next morning we were awakened at around 8:00 am by the noise of the workers. When I went to get ice the ice machine on the 5th floor wasn’t working so I went down to the 4th floor and a construction worker was blocking access to the machine there. While leaving the hotel there was more trash at the back of the building. I am attaching pictures, not only of the trash but also of everything I am mentioning in this email so you can have a better idea of what I’m talking about (22 pictures). Please see the attachments below. I am requesting compensation for the inconveniences we experienced while staying at your hotel. I have always received high quality service from Holiday Inn but this time I did not receive it. Again, remodeling does not mean that the surroundings and entrance of the building needs to be full of trash and does not mean that the carpet can be dirty and stained. Nor does it mean that the windows need to have poop, inside the back of the microwave can be dirty, that the water doesn’t have to be hot, the bowl of the toilet has to be stained and the stopper of the bathtub has to be broken. Very disappointed. You can give me a credit to my credit card for the inconveniences. I’m expecting a credit from your hotel. Res
