Located in the center of Golden Gate Park, the recently opened California Academy of Arts and Sciences is one of the city's gems. Designed by Italian architect Renzo Piano, the Academy's roof is made of grass and sculpted to look like the park's rolling hills had been lifted up and the Academy slipped underneath. Beneath the roof, the Academy houses a full-scale aquarium, a natural history museum and a planetarium. Great for kids, there is enough to see here for a full day.

Ticket Price: 41 USD

Recommended Length of Stay: 4-4 Hours

Location: San Francisco, CA 94133

The island is located just north of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. To visit the island, you need to take a cruise from Pier 33 of Fisherman's Wharf in San Francisco. After landing on the island, a special person will explain the rules of the island on the shore. On the island, you'll see many mutilated houses and stone walls, including an abandoned lookout that was an earlier lighthouse on the West Coast of the United States. 1. Looking for traces of movies Yakara Prison once held many famous felons, and many movies were adapted and shot based on real people in the prison. The "Magic Prison Azkaban" in the Harry Potter series also draws on Akara Prison as a design prototype, and the highly acclaimed movie "Break to the Dead Island" was also filmed here. 2. Visit Yakala Prison The Yakala Prison located in the center of the island is the main and famous building on the island. The entire prison is now abandoned and completely open to tourists. After entering the prison, you only need to follow the signs to climb up the ramp, you will pass through a brick and moss-covered tunnel to the former cell area. The prison has three floors, each floor has small and dark cells, the central corridor is the library, hairdresser, kitchen and dining room in order, and the shower room is located on the other floor. But most of the cells are currently closed off to visit, and only a few have been converted into exhibition rooms, shops and screening rooms. In the screening room, a 10-minute film will be played on a loop every day to help everyone understand the past and present of this island. 3. Encounter precious seabirds There are also a large number of precious wild animals such as pelicans, night herons, and western seagulls on the island. Therefore, the island is often referred to as "Pelican Island" and has now developed into a sanctuary for wild animals.

Reviews from Real Guests:

Chat777: To be able to see the Alcatraz prison in person is really impressive. The testimonies and other explanations are very impressive.

Despite the fact that it really does look like one (and it doesn't help when the city decides bathe it in red light), Coit Tower was not purposefully intended to seem like a fire hose. A monument to the fire fighters of San Francisco takes the shape of this Art Deco landmark that was constructed. Today, the tower offers fantastic 360 views of the city, historic murals, and a fun hike (if the weather is nice).

Dangdang car is one of the buildings in San Francisco. Because San Francisco consists of forty-two hills, the steep terrain in the city makes Dangdang cars an indispensable public transportation tool in the urban area not only at the end of the nineteenth century. It is still a popular tourist attraction and means of transportation for tourists at the end of the twentieth century. Dangdang has been in operation since 1873 until today. It is said that because the roads in San Francisco were too steep, horse-drawn carriages were often involved in car accidents. Andrew, the engineer who witnessed the tragedy, created such a tram. This cable car is different from the kind of tram that cobwebs the sky in other cities. Its tracks and cables are buried in the ground, and the carriage is moved by the cables.
