The hotel has an artsy vibe and the decorations are very modern. It has onsite parking ($52/night) which makes life easier for us. There was a bit of hiccup during our check in as someone from Trip.com cancelled our booking on the day I made the booking. However, the hotel staff went above and beyond to help us contact here and there to ensure we get the room back. Will definitely stay here again when coming to visit DC.

Guest rooms are very spacious. Location is great: walking distance to Georgetown and five minutes to the DuPont Circle Red Line station. Check in and check out were fast. The fitness center equipment was upgraded during my visit. The pool was, however, closed for the duration. Staff were friendly. The business center’s printer’s toner needed to be replaced but wasn’t during my visit but front desk staff helped me with printing. Housekeeping staff are nice but sometimes maybe too busy and can forget to replenish everything, such as paper cups for the coffee machines. Generally very good value hotel.

Chinatown Washington D.C.|1.55km from city center
A centrally located hotel with numerous attractions (e.g. White House), a Metro station and a Arena at its doorstep. Ideal for a visit to Washington D.C. Whitehouse does not have lockers onsite and so this hotel allows us to leave our belongings in the hotel and come back later. Enjoyed my very first visit to D.C in this hotel.

The hotel is not your typical dimension but it was clean and the mattress + pillows are one of the best I have slept on. The location was good as it was close to Metro, White House, Lincoln memorial, and Georgetown (walking around 20 mins). There is also a Metro station close by. However, it’s far away from the convention center though, you will need to take a taxi or Uber to get there. The one suggestion I have is to provide kettle for hot water in the room as well as bottle waters. Most of the reception reps are very helpful and cheerful, only the grave yard shift reception lady is not in a good mood (I know it’s grave yard shift…but). The elevator needs some improvement as well since it’s very slow… (I’m not sure it’s because of the elevator manufacturer or because of the old building).

It was nice and clean. I enjoyed the stay. You can borrow a hair dryer at the front. Its location is quite a bit far to walk to the National mall but I enjoyed walking the streets. And all the roomates were very considerate and quiet. I appreciate that.

This was a good hotel for the money and convenient location. It was a little hard not to have a refrigerator, but I knew that in advance. The staff were helpful and informative and being able to park there was a big help. It is expensive but still cheaper than staying far out of the city and taking the train in as a family of four. The neighborhood is lovely and there are restaurants and two nice grocery stores a block away. The subway is also just a block away and that made it so convenient. I love the wildflowers growing along the street to make food for pollinators.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to the subway, and it's also within walking distance to Chinatown. There are supermarkets conveniently located nearby, and the neighborhood itself is quite pleasant. You'll also find plenty of street parking. The gym is accessible with your room card and provides drinking water.

The room hygiene is OK and meets the standards The hotel is on the first floor, and there is a strong odor every day Hotel service: There is a reason for giving a bad review. On the first night, we found a stranger hiding outside our door, so we called the front desk for help. We called three times, and the front desk promised us that they would come up to check, but they didn't. They kept asking us to wait, and then there was no more. I don't know why, but that night I felt that I was in a very dangerous situation and was very nervous. I blocked the cat's eye and put something on the door handle. This is how Courtyard treats customer needs. Still pay attention to safety

It was simply GREAT! The staff is super friendly and helpful. Pleasant atmosphere. Everything was also very neat. We had booked a room with a king size bed and the room was very spacious, very handy if you travel with large luggage, the bed was also fantastic. Good mattress and pillows. We also ate in the hotel restaurant, personally I thought it was a bit too expensive and there were no other people there which made the atmosphere a bit strange. The parking of the hotel itself was also a bit on the pricey side.

Before returning to China yesterday, I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington. The overall experience has highlights, but there are also some unsatisfactory aspects. When I walked into the hotel lobby, the first feeling was that it was open and bright, and the space was very spacious. There was no crowded feeling of people coming and going in other hotels. I felt comfortable and comfortable walking inside. The check-in speed was also very fast. The staff will kindly hand over an introduction paper, which clearly marked the hotel's various service facilities and precautions. It was convenient and practical, and the favorability was instantly full. However, when I walked into the assigned room, my mood suddenly dropped. This time I was arranged in a corner. The layout of the room was a bit strange, and the lighting was not ideal, giving people a sense of depression. The bathroom was even more ”disaster area”. The space was very small, and the sanitary conditions were worrying. There were still other people's hair in the washbasin, which instantly made me question the hotel's sanitation management. I thought that five-star hotels would achieve the ultimate in hygiene, but I didn't expect such a problem to occur. It was really disappointing. There are also some unhumane aspects in the check-in process. Other five-star hotels can check in by themselves as long as they can make a successful reservation on the Ctrip platform, but here, adults aged 21 and above must assist to complete the check-in procedure, which undoubtedly adds a lot of trouble for guests traveling alone or whose companions do not meet the age requirements. However, the hotel's porter service is remarkable. They are enthusiastic and quick, and they actively help to carry luggage and patiently answer my questions along the way. I can really feel the hotel's professional service quality from them, which is also one of the few warm moments in this imperfect stay experience. I hope the hotel can improve the room allocation, hygiene management and check-in process, and I believe this will bring guests a better accommodation experience.

This hotel was spot on for our needs. We needed to be in Georgetown near the university and this was a 15 min walk away. Hotel was easy to find and in a safe, clean and very nice area. Hotel its self was great. Staff very welcoming, all amenities we needed, lounge area, bar, restaurant and a gym. Rooms and bathroom were spacious and very clean. With toiletries provided. Absolutely no complaints at all. If you need to be in the vicinity of Georgetown university this would make a good mid range choice.

Stayed four nights for a conference across the street at the Hilton. I have stayed here once before and had a good stay. It seems to have gone downhill, as the service was terrible no matter who I spoke to at the front desk. Housekeeping never came my entire stay despite: 1) being told housekeeping is every 2 days (according to one person ) or 3 days (according to a different person); 2) requesting trash pickup, extra hangars, two clean towels on Day 2 and being told it would happen while I was gone for the day; 3) requesting it again on the next day since it didn't happen previously. Again, I returned to my room at the end of the day and it had not happened. Explained this to the front desk upon checkout on Day 4 and they were ”shocked.” No attempt to rectify/compensate though. Another problem was I missed a delivery one evening because the phone was not working in my room. They never fixed it. I was dealing with a different person each time and not a single one was able to address any of the above issues. Last time I am staying here.

Everything about this hotel was perfect for my trip. The front desk staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The concierge provided great recommendations for food and activities, made sure I got on the right bus, told me exactly where to get off, and checked in at the end of my trip to make sure everything went smoothly. I was traveling alone on this trip and felt very safe at the hotel. The room was well-appointed, clean, and although it was on a fairly busy street, it was not noisy. Would definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again in the future.

I stayed at Kimpton Donovan for 3 nights. The price for this hotel (on Trip.com) was cheaper than Washington Plaza Hotel for the same nights. Although it received slightly lower customer review rating than the Washington Plaza Hotel next to it, I was surprised to find that the hotel room is actually a level nicer than Washington Plaza Hotel. Will definitely choose Kimpton Donovan over Washington Plaza Hotel next time if the price is the same.

The room is nice, the hotel is in a very good location, the surrounding environment is good, and it is very close to the White House. However, the front desk service and catering service are really chaotic. It takes an hour from arriving at the restaurant, ordering, and serving breakfast. There are constant problems with the order at the front desk, and the waiters have different explanations. The high-end hotel management of such a large hotel group is very disappointing. Fortunately, Ctrip service helped us solve the problem.

The hotel is in a very good location, right outside the White House, and close to DC's main attractions and museums. If you are physically fit, you can walk there. The lobby is very classical and gorgeous, but the room facilities are average, and certainly cannot be compared with the four or five-star hotels in our country.

Our stay at the Lyle Hotel was okay, but we were disappointed with the pricing. The rate on the booking was $177, but we ended up having to pay an additional $60 in extra fees at checkout. By far the worst JW Marriott 'experience' I've had. The elevator system was terrible, often times waiting for 20-30 mins for the elevator, and when it arrives, it's already full, having to wait for other elevators. This elevator system need to be reprogrammed. The fitness center was close and there was no notice anywhere that it was closed. I called the fitness center to ask if the fitness center has moved, the front desk responded I can go to the Westin Hotel fitness center, which was 1 mile away. One evening the fire system went off and we were told to evacuate the hotel, as we were walking down the stairs, they notified it was a false alarm. The location is great, but I will not stay here again.

The hardware of the hotel is great, from the lobby to the indoor facilities, it is in line with the grade of St. Regis. But the service is really disappointing. It took more than 30 minutes to ask for a pair of slippers, and I waited for an hour and a half for a toothbrush, but it still didn't come. I called to ask, and the reply was: I forgot! I checked out on the third day and told the person in charge about such bad service. This person said sorry, but he was actually very arrogant and didn't apologize sincerely. No one helped with the luggage when I left the hotel. The guy at the door didn't leave at all. Well, I saved the money for a cup of coffee. DC St. Regis, no chance next time!

I said you should check before I checked in, not when I checked in and rested, but she insisted on not leaving, saying that she didn't come in the morning because she was busy at work.
