Dupont Circle Washington D.C.|0.87km from city center
The facilities are too old, and the air conditioner is very noisy. Not only the air conditioner in my room, but also the air conditioner in the next door and the corridor is almost all night long. The ice machine in the corridor is also very noisy. There is a lot of dust on the ceiling from the air conditioner. The lighting in the room is almost entirely dependent on a few table lamps and floor lamps. Not only is the light dim, but it is also very troublesome to turn the lights on and off at night. The hotel does not provide a buffet breakfast, you can only go to the restaurant to order, but the price-performance ratio is not high compared to the surrounding coffee shops. The biggest advantage is the good location, close to the subway station, some attractions can be reached on foot, and the surrounding environment is convenient and safe.From$118

Guest rooms are very spacious. Location is great: walking distance to Georgetown and five minutes to the DuPont Circle Red Line station. Check in and check out were fast. The fitness center equipment was upgraded during my visit. The pool was, however, closed for the duration.
Staff were friendly. The business center’s printer’s toner needed to be replaced but wasn’t during my visit but front desk staff helped me with printing. Housekeeping staff are nice but sometimes maybe too busy and can forget to replenish everything, such as paper cups for the coffee machines.

This was a good hotel for the money and convenient location. It was a little hard not to have a refrigerator, but I knew that in advance. The staff were helpful and informative and being able to park there was a big help. It is expensive but still cheaper than staying far out of the city and taking the train in as a family of four. The neighborhood is lovely and there are restaurants and two nice grocery stores a block away. The subway is also just a block away and that made it so convenient. I love the wildflowers growing along the street to make food for pollinators.From$80

NoMa / Sirsum Corda Washington D.C.|2.88km from city center
The hotel is located behind Union Station, next to a relatively new residential area. It is said that it is the Capitol Building store, but it is still nearly half an hour's walking distance from the Capitol. Outside the window of the room is the rails of the station. Fortunately, the sound is good, and the sound is not heard when the train passes by. The room was large and very comfortable. There are refrigerators and microwaves to solve big problems. Next to the Noma Gallaudet University subway station, a large number of cattle and horses work from here every morning. Washington is very dense with blacks. The blacks around the hotel are in groups. The homeless are everywhere. They are strange and strange. They come over to talk to me about smoking. The black children are in groups of three or five doing nothing. The sense of security is lacking. They dare not stay too much at the entrance of the hotel. There are 7-11 convenience stores, Delta, Subway and a DELI store within 50 meters of the hotel, and life is still very convenient. When I checked in, I just caught up with the public area including the lobby and corridor air conditioner. The two temporary air conditioners in the lobby were in the middle. Two large pipes directly connected to the ceiling. It was very abrupt and had no effect. It was very stuffy. There is a Starbucks in the lobby, and breakfast is actually provided by Starbucks (see picture). It's amazing.From$99

Penn Quarter Washington D.C.|1.22km from city center
Before returning to China yesterday, I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington. The overall experience has highlights, but there are also some unsatisfactory aspects.
When I walked into the hotel lobby, the first feeling was that it was open and bright, and the space was very spacious. There was no crowded feeling of people coming and going in other hotels. I felt comfortable and comfortable walking inside. The check-in speed was also very fast. The staff will kindly hand over an introduction paper, which clearly marked the hotel's various service facilities and precautions. It was convenient and practical, and the favorability was instantly full.
However, when I walked into the assigned room, my mood suddenly dropped. This time I was arranged in a corner. The layout of the room was a bit strange, and the lighting was not ideal, giving people a sense of depression. The bathroom was even more ”disaster area”. The space was very small, and the sanitary conditions were worrying. There were still other people's hair in the washbasin, which instantly made me question the hotel's sanitation management. I thought that five-star hotels would achieve the ultimate in hygiene, but I didn't expect such a problem to occur. It was really disappointing.
There are also some unhumane aspects in the check-in process. Other five-star hotels can check in by themselves as long as they can make a successful reservation on the Ctrip platform, but here, adults aged 21 and above must assist to complete the check-in procedure, which undoubtedly adds a lot of trouble for guests traveling alone or whose companions do not meet the age requirements.
However, the hotel's porter service is remarkable. They are enthusiastic and quick, and they actively help to carry luggage and patiently answer my questions along the way. I can really feel the hotel's professional service quality from them, which is also one of the few warm moments in this imperfect stay experience.
I hope the hotel can improve the room allocation, hygiene management and check-in process, and I believe this will bring guests a better accommodation experience.From$222

The convenience is my full score. The hotel is not far from the bus stop, number 33, just a 3-5 minute walk, which can take you into the city to see the museum, white house, art gallery. Stayed four nights for a conference across the street at the Hilton. I have stayed here once before and had a good stay. It seems to have gone downhill, as the service was terrible no matter who I spoke to at the front desk. Housekeeping never came my entire stay despite: 1) being told housekeeping is every 2 days (according to one person ) or 3 days (according to a different person); 2) requesting trash pickup, extra hangars, two clean towels on Day 2 and being told it would happen while I was gone for the day; 3) requesting it again on the next day since it didn't happen previously. Again, I returned to my room at the end of the day and it had not happened. Explained this to the front desk upon checkout on Day 4 and they were ”shocked.” No attempt to rectify/compensate though. Another problem was I missed a delivery one evening because the phone was not working in my room. They never fixed it. I was dealing with a different person each time and not a single one was able to address any of the above issues. Last time I am staying here.From$102

first off, i booked a king room but was given 2 queen beds instead, they said you don’t always get that when you book through a 3rd party because they do not know what rooms are actually available, second, i requested that my room be cleaned everyday that i stayed, but was not, i had to go downstairs to ask for new towels 2 nights in a row, on the 3rd night i finally asked the front desk and they showed me a small sign that said they do not clean until your 4th day of stay, they can do a quick refresh if you ask before 9pm the night before, lastly, i was charged $41.73 on top of what i paid to Trip.com, i called to ask about it a few days after my trip when i saw it on my credit card, they said it was an amenities charge for each of the days i stayed, whaat? the only amenity i used was the elevator, never have i ever been charged for anything other than the price of the hotel, needless to say i will not be staying here again and will not recommend it to anyoneFrom$114

By far the worst JW Marriott 'experience' I've had.
The elevator system was terrible, often times waiting for 20-30 mins for the elevator, and when it arrives, it's already full, having to wait for other elevators. This elevator system need to be reprogrammed. The fitness center was close and there was no notice anywhere that it was closed. I called the fitness center to ask if the fitness center has moved, the front desk responded I can go to the Westin Hotel fitness center, which was 1 mile away. The hardware of the hotel is great, from the lobby to the indoor facilities, it is in line with the grade of St. Regis. But the service is really disappointing. It took more than 30 minutes to ask for a pair of slippers, and I waited for an hour and a half for a toothbrush, but it still didn't come. I called to ask, and the reply was: I forgot!
I checked out on the third day and told the person in charge about such bad service. This person said sorry, but he was actually very arrogant and didn't apologize sincerely.

1. It's a good geographical location for sightseeing, so when I was tired during sightseeing, I would come in for a short rest and then go out again.
2. The air conditioner cooling/heating worked normally, and the bedding was clean and nice.
3. The sink, bathroom, and toilet are separated from each other. There is nothing particularly inconvenient, but it was disappointing that there was no bathtub.
4. The shower head in the bathroom was fixed at the top, so I couldn't move it freely, so this part was inconvenient.
5. There was a large TV, refrigerator, and iron.
6. The view was satisfactory because there was a nice building right in front of it.
7. But the real highlight of this hotel is the rooftop lounge. The night view from the rooftop is unparalleled.
(Rooftop is very popular. It is a hot place with rooftop customers from early evening to dawn.)

Classy hotel, well situated with friendly and efficient staff. Dinner was well executed offering both indoor, patio and bar seating depending on your preference. There is a library room with a fireplace to relax with a drink or coffee in the morning. Also a nice gym downstairs including Peloton bikes. Definitely a step up from the big hotel chains and a lovely place to stay while visiting Washington DC. From$425

The only reason it doesn't have a full evaluation is because on the last day in room 920 at 6 a.m. something inside the room, it looked like the air conditioning, started making a huge noise that woke up my parents. Furthermore, excellent decoration, super comfortable bed, super friendly staff. There is free coffee and tea. I would stay at the same hotel again.From$152

We upgraded to a river view room at the hotel. The view was very beautiful and pleasing to the eye. The room was very clean and the bathroom layout was good.
The hotel lobby provides free teas of all kinds. I really like hot apple tea, especially when I come back from the cold outside and drink a cup of hot apple tea in the hotel lobby. It's very comfortable.
I would also like to praise the front desk staff and manager of the hotel. The service was very good. Once we came back and the room was not cleaned, the hotel waived one day's room fee and some other fees. This is what a high-end hotel looks like. I am very happy that I have always liked staying at InterContinental Hotels. I also booked Christmas dinner at InterContinental Hotel in New York. They really have good service. I will continue to stay in the future.From$244

The hotel can rent bicycles, the room is decorated in white style, but the space is a little lost. It’s a pity that there is no landscape. However, the hotel service was quite good, and the bicycle seat was too high to help me adjust for a long time. I called the hot water bottle and sent it directly along with the hot water, and there was a teacup. I look forward to a better view of the window next time I stay.From$420

Come to DC to live in Park Hyatt for 3 days. The area where you are located should be good. If you take a taxi, you can't go anywhere, but if you take the subway, there is still a distance from the subway station. The doorman is more welcoming. The only drawback is that the three nights of staying in the hotel did not change the toiletries once.From$390

The location is very good, close to the White House, and in the area where luxury hotels in Washington are clustered. The surrounding area feels very safe. Very central hotel (in Georgetown). Excellent rooms. Wonderful service. Only issue when I was there was the kitchen was down due to a small fire the night before. I was warned about this just before my stay. Then, the elevators broke down for an evening. The staff made up for it.From$552

Our stay at the Lyle Hotel was okay, but we were disappointed with the pricing. The rate on the booking was $177, but we ended up having to pay an additional $60 in extra fees at checkout. These unexpected charges give hotels and booking platforms a bad reputation. Washington was a great destination, but this experience left a sour taste. However, the dinner at Annie’s Paramount Steakhouse was fantastic! Definitely a recommendation.

Room was clean. Maid service was prompt and excellent. The Garden Cafe was extremely convenient for breakfast and an early start. The one complaint I have: we called the front desk to ask where the Ice machine was. We were told that they would send ice up to the room. The ice never arrived.

Lovely hotel right outside DuPont Circle. We took the train and/ or walked everywhere! While this isn’t a fault of the hotel, there were several large groups of teenagers (it was school vacation week), so it could get quite loud in the common areas. I couldn’t hear any noise from the other rooms in our room, but you could hear people running through the halls and slamming doors (which started pretty early in the morning). We asked for extra towels one day, and the front desk said they’d be right up, but they never actually came. We asked the front desk for something else another day, and that also never happened. The complementary wine and cheese house was very enjoyable! We would consider staying here again.

The Yotel Hotel is one that provides comfort, access to the National Mall, quality restaurants that represent diverse cuisines, and customer service with personality and a smile. The food menu is sufficient and the bartenders are well versed in creating whatever cocktails you may enjoy. The rooms are quiet, the water pressure is strong, and the cost is competitive. During the one night I stayed at the hotel, there was an unexpected $35 check-in fee which was not disclosed when Trip.com advertised the accommodation. That fee may be communicated if you choose to book on the hotel's website. Would certainly stay there again on my next visit to the Nation's capital.

The hotel is in a fantastic location, very close to the subway, and it's also within walking distance to Chinatown. There are supermarkets conveniently located nearby, and the neighborhood itself is quite pleasant. You'll also find plenty of street parking. The gym is accessible with your room card and provides drinking water.

We stayed for two nights, no room service. The front desk said that they do every two days, but charge resort fee. Tiny bathroom, trouble to turn around and close the door. Older rooms and not worth the price.

The location is very good, and most scenic spots are within 2 kilometers. Although the hotel is a bit old, it still feels very tasteful. The service is a bit lacking. After the Amazon package arrived at the front desk, I asked twice and was told it was not available. Finally, I took a photo of the Amazon package and said it was found.

Last time I am staying here.

I love the wildflowers growing along the street to make food for pollinators.
