The facilities are too old, and the air conditioner is very noisy. Not only the air conditioner in my room, but also the air conditioner in the next door and the corridor is almost all night long. The ice machine in the corridor is also very noisy. There is a lot of dust on the ceiling from the air conditioner. The lighting in the room is almost entirely dependent on a few table lamps and floor lamps. Not only is the light dim, but it is also very troublesome to turn the lights on and off at night. The hotel does not provide a buffet breakfast, you can only go to the restaurant to order, but the price-performance ratio is not high compared to the surrounding coffee shops. The biggest advantage is the good location, close to the subway station, some attractions can be reached on foot, and the surrounding environment is convenient and safe.From£137

Guest rooms are very spacious. Location is great: walking distance to Georgetown and five minutes to the DuPont Circle Red Line station. Check in and check out were fast. The fitness center equipment was upgraded during my visit. The pool was, however, closed for the duration.
Staff were friendly. The business center’s printer’s toner needed to be replaced but wasn’t during my visit but front desk staff helped me with printing. Housekeeping staff are nice but sometimes maybe too busy and can forget to replenish everything, such as paper cups for the coffee machines.

Amazing. This hotel offers comfort in practical manner. Located in nearby METRO station, it also within walking distances to bars and restaurants. The hotel is not your typical dimension but it was clean and the mattress + pillows are one of the best I have slept on. The location was good as it was close to Metro, White House, Lincoln memorial, and Georgetown (walking around 20 mins). There is also a Metro station close by. However, it’s far away from the convention center though, you will need to take a taxi or Uber to get there.
The one suggestion I have is to provide kettle for hot water in the room as well as bottle waters. Most of the reception reps are very helpful and cheerful, only the grave yard shift reception lady is not in a good mood (I know it’s grave yard shift…but). The elevator needs some improvement as well since it’s very slow… (I’m not sure it’s because of the elevator manufacturer or because of the old building).From£155

This was a good hotel for the money and convenient location. It was a little hard not to have a refrigerator, but I knew that in advance. The staff were helpful and informative and being able to park there was a big help. It is expensive but still cheaper than staying far out of the city and taking the train in as a family of four. The neighborhood is lovely and there are restaurants and two nice grocery stores a block away. The subway is also just a block away and that made it so convenient. NoMa / Sirsum Corda Washington D.C.|2.88km from city center
The hotel is located behind Union Station, next to a relatively new residential area. It is said that it is the Capitol Building store, but it is still nearly half an hour's walking distance from the Capitol. Outside the window of the room is the rails of the station. Fortunately, the sound is good, and the sound is not heard when the train passes by. The room was large and very comfortable. There are refrigerators and microwaves to solve big problems. Next to the Noma Gallaudet University subway station, a large number of cattle and horses work from here every morning. Washington is very dense with blacks. The blacks around the hotel are in groups. The homeless are everywhere. They are strange and strange. They come over to talk to me about smoking. The black children are in groups of three or five doing nothing. The sense of security is lacking. They dare not stay too much at the entrance of the hotel. There are 7-11 convenience stores, Delta, Subway and a DELI store within 50 meters of the hotel, and life is still very convenient. When I checked in, I just caught up with the public area including the lobby and corridor air conditioner. The two temporary air conditioners in the lobby were in the middle. Two large pipes directly connected to the ceiling. It was very abrupt and had no effect. It was very stuffy. There is a Starbucks in the lobby, and breakfast is actually provided by Starbucks (see picture). It's amazing.From£128

The location is very good. You can walk to the scenic spots and Union Station, and it is also convenient to take the subway. The building materials are durable and the facilities are a bit old. There are not many restaurants nearby, or we didn't find them, but there is a microwave in the public area of the hotel, and you can buy food from the supermarket and heat it up yourself. Penn Quarter Washington D.C.|1.22km from city center
Before returning to China yesterday, I chose to stay at the Grand Hyatt Washington. The overall experience has highlights, but there are also some unsatisfactory aspects.
When I walked into the hotel lobby, the first feeling was that it was open and bright, and the space was very spacious. There was no crowded feeling of people coming and going in other hotels. I felt comfortable and comfortable walking inside. The check-in speed was also very fast. The staff will kindly hand over an introduction paper, which clearly marked the hotel's various service facilities and precautions. It was convenient and practical, and the favorability was instantly full.
However, when I walked into the assigned room, my mood suddenly dropped. This time I was arranged in a corner. The layout of the room was a bit strange, and the lighting was not ideal, giving people a sense of depression. The bathroom was even more ”disaster area”. The space was very small, and the sanitary conditions were worrying. There were still other people's hair in the washbasin, which instantly made me question the hotel's sanitation management. I thought that five-star hotels would achieve the ultimate in hygiene, but I didn't expect such a problem to occur. It was really disappointing.
There are also some unhumane aspects in the check-in process. Other five-star hotels can check in by themselves as long as they can make a successful reservation on the Ctrip platform, but here, adults aged 21 and above must assist to complete the check-in procedure, which undoubtedly adds a lot of trouble for guests traveling alone or whose companions do not meet the age requirements.
However, the hotel's porter service is remarkable. They are enthusiastic and quick, and they actively help to carry luggage and patiently answer my questions along the way. I can really feel the hotel's professional service quality from them, which is also one of the few warm moments in this imperfect stay experience.
I hope the hotel can improve the room allocation, hygiene management and check-in process, and I believe this will bring guests a better accommodation experience.From£253

The hardware of the hotel is great, from the lobby to the indoor facilities, it is in line with the grade of St. Regis. But the service is really disappointing. It took more than 30 minutes to ask for a pair of slippers, and I waited for an hour and a half for a toothbrush, but it still didn't come. I called to ask, and the reply was: I forgot!
I checked out on the third day and told the person in charge about such bad service. This person said sorry, but he was actually very arrogant and didn't apologize sincerely.

Less than a ten-minute walk from the White House and the capital's central axis, the hotel enjoys a prime location, fronting a tree-lined boulevard and offering a beautiful setting. Besides the main attractions, the surrounding area also offers a wide range of dining options. The hotel is small, and the room amenities aren't perfect, but they retain a touch of French elegance. The restaurant downstairs serves good food and is reasonably priced.
Of course, staying in the heart of DC, don't expect a bargain. In addition to the Ctrip room fee, this hotel also charges a $34.79 ”Urban Experience Fee and Tax” per day. Even so, the rate is only average for the area. The hotel doesn't have its own parking lot, but Valet Parking charges $65 per day plus tip, which is average for the area. West End Washington D.C.|1.13km from city center
The location is very good, close to the White House, and in the area where luxury hotels in Washington are clustered. The surrounding area feels very safe. The room is quite large, the facilities are also good, and the decoration has a strong European and American style. It is very cost-effectiveFrom£253
