Pros: 1. Location is right across Oerlikon train station and surrounded by supermarkets and a small shopping mall. 2. Rooms prices are more affordable compared to the ones near Zurich main station. 3. Front office staff were friendly and welcoming. 4. Modern and fairly spacious rooms for 19sqm Cons: 1. Missed housekeeping request after a call was made for it to be done. No one came and the staff we spoke to only said she will highlight to management. 2. No kettle to boil hot water.. seems like the 2nd hotel we came across in Switzerland that doesn't provide this. We didn't opt for breakfast so we can't comment on that.

Right next to Zurich's main train station, with multiple tram lines accessible right outside, which is super convenient. The self-service breakfast didn't have a huge variety, but the staff were very enthusiastic. The room's soundproofing was quite good; I wasn't bothered by any noise even though I was staying next to the elevator.

Excellent hotel , staff is very helpful , zsolt is a lovely at the reception , due to have no adapter to charge my phone he helped me to charge my phone at the front desk , highly recommend this hotel ,

Location is good, some 400 mtrs distance to bahnhof. Just past rive you will see the polybahn sign and campari hotel sign. Coops store is nearby except on sunday. Room is clean, size is ok. Bathroom had shower curtain to segregate toilet bowl and shower area, either way still wet. You can get utensils plates and kitchen towels from lobby area if you need to eat inside room. No kettle but hot water is available from lobby to fill up and thermos flask is provided there too. Coffee tea also there. You have return the utensils once done. Luggage storage is avaiable. Extension of check out time is available only if you book thru their own website. All ok and acceptable.

Easy go to center by tram (3 min walk and some 10~15 min ride to Zurich main station and 20 min to lake), Very quiet neigborhood. Many restaurents options in walking distance. Great staff and very good breakfast. Zurich public transportation is super! It worth it to buy a Zurich card if you plan to go museums, lake cruise, cable cars, etc.

We stayed at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Zurich as a couple and had a very pleasant experience. The location is excellent, with easy access to transport and the airport, which made getting around Zurich very convenient. The studio room was comfortable and well laid out and the kitchen was a real plus ,well equipped and practical, especially for longer stays. The room itself was clean, modern and quiet, which made it easy to relax after a day out. Overall, it’s a great choice for couples looking for a good location, comfortable rooms and the convenience of a kitchen. We would happily stay here again.

I had a fantastic stay at Ruby Mimi Hotel Zurich. The hotel’s vintage cinema-inspired design adds unique charm, and the location is perfect—just minutes from the main train station and Zurich’s old town. My room was compact but smartly designed, with a comfortable bed, quality shower, and great amenities like a Marshall speaker. The bar and lounge area was cozy and stylish, ideal for unwinding in the evening. Staff were friendly and helpful, and check-in was quick and easy. I appreciated the hotel’s sustainable approach and clean, modern feel. A great value stay—I’d definitely return! Psst: You will have to pay for a bedroom slipper / toothbrush via the vending machine (So remember to bring along).

Very nice hotel stay, and quite a convenient location. The plus point is that it is near the airport. Theres a gym too, which is nice. Unfortunately, the customer service, overall, hasn’t been satisfactory. When booking the shuttle for the airport (a paid service), we were booked for a shuttle with a wrong timing, and the shuttle driver requested that we change the timing. Instead of resolving the situation amicably, the service personnel at the reception desk launched into a debate with us about the timing. That is not the way you communicate with customers.i

The room was clean, but there was no tea or coffee available in the room; I had to go to the lobby to get it. The complimentary tea and coffee were also right next to the paid beverages, which could be confusing. The road in front of the hotel is under construction, taking up the sidewalk and making getting around a bit inconvenient. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the train station, but there's a slightly steep uphill section that can be tricky with luggage. On the plus side, the hotel is within walking distance of many famous attractions.

We stayed at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel by Fassbind from 5/21/25 - 5/24/25 (3 nights). We are a family of 3 adults and booked 1 room that has (3) twin beds. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was clean and surprisingly roomy. The only problem, there's no AC (Europe hotels for most part don't have air-conditioning). We opened the window and let cooler air to come in. I am sure it's a lot less comfortable in the summer due to the heat. The most enjoyable part were the staff at the front desk. Shout out to Yosie, Katia and Martina. These ladies were incredibly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. The owner, Mr. Fassbind, should give these ladies a 8% raise. The price for the room was also ”reasonable” for Zürich (~ $400/night). Being able to have 3 people in one room is a bonus. Most hotels will show ”sold out” when trying to book 1 room for 3 people. I really had a very positive experience at the Swiss Chocolate Hotel in Zürich and can highly recommend it. I definitely would stay here again if the opportunity arises.
