Relaxing week-end break not too far from home, with cycling and walking featuring. Beautiful autumn colour throughout the extensive grounds and the weather obliged too. Hotel comfortable and staff very friendly and helpful. Dinner was disappointing the first evening, but very good on 2nd evening. Pleasant music in bar on Sat night also. Breakfast was good, however, more obvious choice of hot food would be good - eg omelettes, scrambled eggs etc.

I stayed here for business. One night in December 2023 and again in February 2024. I stayed here alone because... business. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast is good. Reception have been kind enough to check me in early on both occasions. Food in the bar is decent. Not gourmet but more than good enough for a solo traveller (and I'm a bit of a foodie). Staff are friendly and helpful. Their biggest asset is the barman. I don't know his name but he has a wonderful mustash. He is attentive and friendly which is very much appreciated when you're having dinner alone. I would definitely recommend staying here if you're in Leixslip.

Just back from a lovely few days in Carton House. Everything about this hotel was pretty good. Spotlessly clean, food was lovely and the staff are all very friendly. Bar food in the clubhouse is very good and breakfast, served in beautiful part of the original house is delicious. Rooms are very comfortable and well appointed. Most of which are in the new part of the hotel. Ground are lovely and beautifully maintained. All in all a most enjoyable few days was had, I’ll hopefully be back.

Visited this lovely hotel last Thursday with my partner for one night, the only regret is that we didn’t stay longer , can’t wait to revisit. From the moment we checked in until the time we checked out . We couldn’t fault a thing. Receptionist on check in very friendly and helpful and explained everything to us . Got to our bedroom which was lovely and spacious and spotless clean . Decided to have some food in the main bar ( The Bistro) , from food to service we could not fault a thing . Well done to the chefs , mouthwatering bar menu, next time we visit we definitely will try the restaurant for sure . After the meal we decided to go for a walk and explore the grounds of the hotel to walk off the fullness from the lovely food we had in the bar , beautiful grounds and trails/ walkway around the hotel . After the walk we came back to the bar for some Lovely cocktails which were very nice . Breakfast the next morning was outstanding and plenty to choose from the cold buffet and the hot breakfast was very tasty and again outstanding service from the breakfast staff . After the breakfast we had spa treatments booked in and have to say one of the best treatments we had in a long time and again very friendly and helpful staff in all departments. On checkout we got in talking to the general manager Ger I think is his name who was in the lobby and happened to ask us , how our stay was . He informed us that the hotel was recently taking over by FBD hotel group and that they are in the middle of some changes. Very well done to Ger and all the team at Kilashee hotel , one Of the best hotel experiences we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend this hotel for any occasions or gatherings. We had a lovely stay from start to finish. We had Confirmation Lunch in the restaurant stayed in the Postmans Lodge and returned for breakfast in the morning. The boys (aged 12) loved the quirky bunk bed design and they could hook up their play station easily. The bar was warm and cosy with the open fire kept alight for the old mothers cold bones. The staff were so friendly and very professional. The price was reasonable enough. very suitable for families/ couples. I would stay again.

This hotel has all anyone needs from a break away it is ideally located next to a lovely vibrant town with the train station across the road trains run to dublin every half hour and if u are visiting croke park for gaa or gareth brooks then the way to travel is by train The staff throughout the hotel in all sectors are very helpful and friendly. the hotel ambiance is excellent and the food is superb their inhouse cafe shoda does coffee and brunch all day i highly recommend this hotel for all visitors liam meade
