Hotels in A Town Reviews

No doubt, the location is great, and whether during sunset or sunrise, the hostel is a magic spot offering some nice overviews on the harbor, and the fishing activities. This been said, the rooms are rudimentary. With 8 rooms with 2-3 persons each, the two bathrooms (one for female, one for male) are often occupied, especially later after the arrival of the ferry, and early before checking out. Fortunately, not everyone is using the kitchen facilities 'cause it would be difficult to stay there more than one day. We booked a 3-person room (#2) that was almost blind with only a small window, thus rather claustrophobic. Sheets and towels were provided but not replaced after 2 days ; and with little aeration, one can imagine the humid conditions of the room after 3 days. Matelas were correct, but the thickness of the wall was not a barrier to the sound from the couple in the other room. Overall, it is very noisy, especially due to the preparation of the fishing activities at first level. Still, sometimes, you might meet some very interesting people, and start some good discussions. Don't forget earplugs if you stay there.

Assuming you prefer rugged to polished, this place --Room 6, for example-- can provide what you need to enjoy yourself and even provide a memorable experience. The kitchen is supplied well enough for meals, the bathroom comes with that heated floor, there is plenty of light, and they've provided lots of connections for your technology. The blackout curtains partially work. Beds are an individual matter, and they met our needs. Bring soap and shampoo. Request an extra towel or two at the reception as you check in. But if you're stuck with a room such as Sally 21, you could be miserable. Lifting a couch cushion to attempt to make a place to sleep since the bed was not an option, our travel companions noted that the area under the cushion harbored the garbage of ?how many previous occupants? The bed was placed (and not able to be moved) in such a way as to preclude two people sleeping there. One would have to climb over the other while getting hit by the slanting roof. The bathroom is several irregular steps down from the main rooms, a truly unpleasant feature to encounter in the middle of the night. If you've been overwhelmed by breakfast buffets throughout Norway, this one will be a letdown, especially if you find, as we did, that there is an additional charge. The property boasts free wifi. In fact, in our two rooms far from one another, it did not work reliably. We went to the restaurant where it also did not work reliably. Yes, parking is free. Time it correctly, and you will find a parking space.
