9 of our family stayed in one of the beach villas at hollytree which was awesome. We dined in the Hollytree hotel on the Sunday evening 17 March. The food was excellent. The evening was only marred by a very rude man screaming at the waiter at the next table to us in a full restaurant, about his food. The waiter tried to placate him, however he continued shouting. He then ranted to the young waitress at the bar area that there would be “a sh$t show from the media tomorrow”. We were shocked by this behaviour, and all felt that any complaint really should have been dealt with away from the earshot of the rest of the diners. The staff were all lovely and helpful throughout our stay.

The location of the hotel is very good and the parking lot is large. Facing the bay and port, the scenery is beautiful. The room is not big and the overall feeling is rather old, but the price/performance ratio here is very high

The hosts were so friendly and accommodating! They accomodate to your specific needs which is a really nice touch. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The accomodation was beautiful and our room was amazing. Clean, spacious and had all the amenities we needed. The complementary prosecco was also a lovely gesture. We were looking for accommodation in the Lochaber area as a base for a kayaking weekend, and Corran bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Everything is good quality, and the rooms are clean and functional - ours had a nice ensuite too. There is a large common room with comfy seating and a log burner which was a nice place to relax, but we usually ended up sitting in the communal dining kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could need to make from snacks to big meals, and there was plenty of food storage and fridge space. Plenty of space to sit and eat too. A really big plus was the two drying rooms, one off the kitchen which had a dehumidifier, and another outside, which allowed lots of wet gear to be dried quickly - a real bonus if you're there for a few days. The owner Alan couldn't be more helpful, and gave us tips on the best places to eat wherever we were going. I can thoroughly recommend getting the ferry over to Ardgour to the pub for food. A minute from the bunkhouse, its free for foot passengers, the crossing takes about 5 minutes, and is a nice way to go to dinner. Overall i cant recommend the place highly enough. A modern, clean and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.
