We visited for evening meal food was good we had burger and fish and chips good pub food service was a little hectic due to shortage of staff which did not deflect away from the food itself the beutiful broccoli and Stilton soup to start was wonderful all in all we left full and unable to have a desert.

We have just returned from a week's holiday at the Galley of Lorne, fantastic location and lovely hotel. Very friendly staff, excellent food and very comfortable rooms, We stayed in the Skye suite and had a fantastic view of the loch from our window. From the hotel it's easy to get to the ferries to the islands, we had a great day out on Arron, (Cal Mac helpline is great if you have questions) Lots of historic sites nearby, castles, standing stones etc. We will definitely be returning,

Wonderful historic Inn with spectacular Loch views. The limited staff tried hard to keep all the plates spinning and mostly succeeded. The dinner served in the bar was pretty much pub grub but executed well and very tasty as were the breakfasts with lots of choice. On the downside the “suites “ are tiny and soundproofing non existent ( we heard talking and snoring from surrounding rooms) The decor in the rooms is very 80s disco with black and gold everywhere and LED coloured ***** light round the ceiling, just a personal thing but would have been better giving a nod to the Inns history.

Lovely place. Booked at short notice while on a break with the family. Food was great and they catered really well to our 9yo fussy lad. Chef even came out to shake hands when he heard how well the food had been received 👍 Michael and all the staff were really attentive without being 'in your face '. Highly recommend.

Me and my wife were so delighted to have found the galley inn, on our tour of Scotland. Not only do we have our memories of Scotland now, but we have memories of the galley inn and the people that we met there. The whole dining experience was a delight. The food was absolutely excellent. The place warm cosy and surprisingly busy for the time of year. But credit above all of this has to go to Michael, he carries such a smile, and looks after everyone with the same attentive care and consideration. His customer service skills are second to none, and the way that he engages, and introduce,s customers to each other is a unseen talent. His efficiency and dynamic effort, in looking after everyone. Can only be described as outstanding. The location of this stunningly beautiful inn and it's idyllic location, has only prompted us to return for a break at this place. If we could have given 10 stars we would have ✅More
