Katerina Palace Hotel

"This was our second stay at this hotel, however we were in studios 1 this time (hotel side last year). The hotel side I would say is better. We were in studio 1 room 13 which was top floor and overlooking the main pool. I did notice that all the balconies whether studio or hotel do not have frosted glass so no privacy on them at all really. Our room was ok but had no hairdryer like advertised so had to contact reception who provided us with one. Also the fridge in our room has not been emptied on our arrival and had milk cheese and other things in. Several mornings we had no hot water in the shower which we reported daily and eventually it seemed to be ok. The bed was big and comfortable. The kitchen area we didn’t really use and the toaster was kept in the cupboard as there is no room for it on the counter with the kettle there so the kitchen space is really limited. Some of the reception staff never smiled but others were lovely. Despite the small issues the holiday was great and we do love it there but for me the hotel side is far better it’s just a shame you can’t seem to book that without breakfast as the times never suited us last year. You also do have the usual sun bed hoggers who are out at the crack of dawn and nothing is done about them reserving beds. I’m not a pool person so didn’t bother us but amusing to watch and something to be aware of if you are a pool person. Being on the top floor was a preference but tough with big cases and I think the hotel side has a lift. Location wise Katerina palace is great and central and is a good place to stay but moreso the hotel side"

"The Locanda beach hotel Aragasi,Zante is easily the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Food is absolutely disgusting. Location is ok but the pool areas is poorly maintained. Would not recommend it to anyone."
