Good location and friendly attendance for the clients. I stayed with my family, though there was blackout, the generator saved us to stay safe. The quantity of food was not enough but we feel all the best of hotel staff in Cuban difficult situations.

I visited the Hotel La Union that night by chance, I was passing through the city and some friends invited me to have some cocktails on the terrace of the Hotel. To my surprise I found some of the best music. There I even took a sals class. Cuban all night dancing. I recommend this place, it was incredible, I had a great time.

We stayed at the San Carlos hotel but used the Pool, Roof Terrace and facilities at La Union as it has a lot more character and soul than the San Carlos. We both had a great massage from Daniel who was absolutely brilliant. His English was significantly better than a lot of the other staff and he was very helpful. We saw him at both hotels and he helped lots of guests and was a real star! The pool at La Union is clearly a little dated but a great spot for relaxing and awesome cocktails

Stayed at an Air BnB across the road but the rooftop restaurant was recommended so I went for lunch and then again later for dinner. Spectacular view and since I was the only customer also great service. Food was just ok (deep fried fish sticks with plaintain chips) but quite edible. Very scenic and peaceful.

The hotel is in a beautiful colonial building with gorgeous painted tiles, several courtyards and a pool. It is located right in the city centre. Sadly it seems that most things which could be broken in this hotel is out of action: 1. The lift for this multi-story hotel did not work. I had to drag my luggage several levels up narrow stairs. Apart from the resident masseur Daniel, there were no hotel staff willing to help to elderly (or any) travellers in our group. 2. A safe in my room had no lock, so could not be used. 3. The internet worked only from time to time. 4. There was a slightly tarty pool with a jacuzzi which also does not work. 5. However the worse experience was when in the morning we did not have any water because something else got broken. Sadly we had to leave that morning without this essential facility. My best memory about this hotel however is due to Daniel, the resident masseur at La Union, who is just excellent - very skilled and professional. Highly recommended!

The restraunt at Hotel Union was excellent in every way. We were greeted by the Hostess Loanys who was very kind, professional and helpful, as all were the staff. The food is amazing and restraunt spectacular! I highly recommend this very clean classy business while in Cienfuegos!

We were here for New Year’s Eve 2022 and the best thing about the hotel was the party on the roof terrace with live music and lots of locals there to say farewell to 2022. The hotel is in a beautiful building with gorgeous painted tiles, several courtyards and a lovely pool with plenty of sun loungers. Food however was not very good and we found the staff a little aloof. Views from the roof terrace are spectacular and if you decide to stay in Cienfuegos this may be the best choice. We were underwhelmed by Cienfuegos itself though.

Oldish hotel. Bedroom very clean as was the bathroom. However the decor could do with updating. The restaurant was not good. The food served in the form of a buffet. Lack of variety, very samey and nit well cooked or presented.

I am a massage fanatic and have received many massages in my life. Daniel, the resident masseur at La Union, is just excellent - intuitive, skilled, professional, hardworking. Highly recommended! I always make a point to schedule with him when staying in Cienfuegos.
