Zante Maris Suites - Adults Only

What a gorgeous experience from the moment we arrived to when we left. The staff are without a doubt one of the most attentive I have ever experienced as a whole team in general. The training must be exceptional! I couldn’t pic one over the other they were all professional and truly made the experience even better. The hotel itself is wonderful with a true boutique experience. Food lovely and cocktails superb! I have to mention how well executed the breakfast was. The only advice I would give is the gym facility, in a world where we are all a little more health concern management should invest in a larger one where no booking is required.

After our early morning flight the transfer from the airport to Zante Maris Suites was a short ride of 20 minutes. Our first impression of Zante Maris was the very warm welcome we were given by Vicky and Mavra. They were awaiting us with big smiles on their faces. This is the best start of our holiday! Because of our early arrival our room wasn’t ready yet and they generously offered us a breakfast. So so very kind! Once we entered the restaurant, we were welcomed again in a very friendly way by waiters Nikos and Aristea. The wide variety of the breakfast buffet was absolutely overwhelming! It soon became clear that the very nice Chef took great care to display the most beautiful and fresh products every single morning. It looked like a painting, so beautiful and colourful! Having a breakfast like this, with a beautiful view looking out over the Zakynthos bay like this, in the serene atmosphere of the restaurant, was a perfect way to wait until our room would be ready. After this delicious breakfast we further “waited” at the (adults only!) pool, enjoying the relaxing music, the Greek sun and another fine service of Viaggalis. And then Vicky had a big surprise for us… We were given a free upgrade to the most beautiful suite you could ever imagine! Our big Suite 103 (Swim Up Heated Pool Suite) had ocean view and a sharing heated pool. Perfection in every respect! So our stay at Zante Maris began perfectly in every way and this did not change for the rest of our holiday. Apart from the outstanding service, everybody is so friendly! Smiles all day, and a positive vibe you cannot miss. These people must have a great team spirit. And by the way: the Cava Restaurant has a great chef. We had dinner three times during our five night stay! Mavra turned out to be our personal VIP assistant. When we asked her where we could find the most beautiful spots of the island, she took extensive time to make a whole plan for us for the next few days. What an outstanding service, it really made us feeling special! And during the rest of our stay this very professional lady made all the lunch and dinner reservations at the best spots of the island. WoW, Mavra really is incredible and makes the difference to the guests! Our stay lasted five nights and we had the best of times at Zante Maris Suites. We had the feeling all staff pampered us in every single way and made us feel really valued and special. For us, our stay at this hotel was of exceptional standard and we will definitely come back to Zante Maris Suites. Hotel had everything you need on a vacation. We had room without pool, so we spend lot of time at pool area. Pool bar was very good, food and drinks were great, and service was polite and friendly, quick and professional. Pool area was very nice and peaceful. Our room was super clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly, breakfast and food was great, and the location is on hill and there is a very nice views from restaurant. It was short walk away from shops and restaurants. We didn't do or see much in this holiday, but still it was one of the best holidays. Definitely wanna come back one day!

3 girls on holiday in Zakynthos - it couldn't have been a better hotel. The rooms were clean and spacious. We sampled a variety of rooms - one with an individual private pool (amazing), one with a shared private pool between a few rooms (fabulous) and a first-floor room with a view (fabulous). There can be a trek up a steep hill back to the hotel - but a taxi is €8 if you don't fancy it. The village is minutes away. The welcome drink was beautiful - so nice that we tried it again and again. The swim-up bar was my favourite. The service was excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed. Many thanks to George, Vacgelis & Kostas, in the bar, Alex in the restaurant, and Nicky at reception. Vicky runs the Spa - well worth a treatment while you're visiting.

The hotel is beautiful and the service is beyond anything I’ve ever experienced. All the girls in the reception are so so beautiful and friendly. The bartenders and servers are very respectful, nice and polite. The food is great, the drinks are delicious and the rooms are stunning! The best hotel in Zakynthos.

We stayed in the hotel almost 7 years ago and it was amazing and always said we would return so in December we booked through their website the Honeymoon Suite to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. The booking process was simple, card used to guarantee the booking and we accepted the hotel would use this card to take a 30% deposit. We then received this email:Please find below the payment link for the 30% deposit which is required in order to secure your reservation. Keep in mind that once you open the link you will have 30 mins to finalize the transaction. Your link will be active for the next 72 hours. As soon as you make the deposit, please let us know in order to provide you with that payment receipt. Confused as to why we had received this email we wondered if it was genuine as on the email there was no amount to pay stated, the signature on the email had no other information which was strange seeing as it was supposedly from someone at the hotel, no job title and no hotel information. It was also worrying as the booking confirmation stated: 30% deposit will be applied to your credit card regarding the reservation. This is normal so why send a link? Especially as it was only valid for 3 days and we had to inform the hotel we had paid-this was at a time when everyone in Greece would be celebrating their Christmas. We didn't click on the link but instead used the contact form to question this and email the hotel directly, the reply I received was: As per your below email we would like to inform you that the email with the payment link it was sent by us. It is not a scam. We kindly request to procced to the payment via the payment link that we have sent to you. So, no reassurance or explanation as to why I had to use the link, a link that according to the original request had expired days before. I emailed the hotel asking why I had to pay through a link plus I also emailed Xenos who own the hotel and so far no reply. As a result, we have just cancelled our booking, sadly we cannot cancel the flights so we have lost €446 but it's better than losing almost €3,000 if it is a scam. This could have been avoided if the hotel had taken the time to explain/reassure us of a reason for changing the way a deposit is to be paid. We would have happily rang the hotel and paid over the phone or transferred the money to their bank account but neither option was given. I have doubts about it being a scam but I'm not 100% convinced it is genuine, either way, the communications I've received is certainly not what I'd expect from a 5 star hotel. The point of this review is not to put anyone off staying at the hotel as 7 years ago we had a fantastic time and we were sure it would have been the same this time. The point is, if this is a scam by a disgruntled ex-employee hopefully this will stop anyone getting caught out.

I absolutely love the Hotel Zante Maris Suites on Zakynthos Island! We first visited in 2016 for our honeymoon and have returned every year since. The staff, especially Katharina and our favorite Andreas, provide exceptional service. George mixes the best cocktails, and they've become like family to us. The a la carte dining and carefully selected wines are outstanding. Having traveled to many countries and stayed in numerous hotels, nowhere else feels as comfortable as Zante Maris Suites. Thanks for everything, and we're eagerly anticipating the summer ahead!
