Excellent staff especially Sandra Debbie and Majella. Welcomed by Reservation Manager unfortunately did not catch her name but made to feel so welcome and we were shown around the house. Food and service exceptional. Room had a beautiful garden view and was extremely comfortable. We will be back .

We've stayed at Dunbrody House on a number of occasions and it's always been thoroughly enjoyable. The rooms are superb, the staff are excellent, the bar and restaurant provide excellent quality in food and wine. This is a place to relax, unwind and indulge.

Dunbrody is a special place. We stayed there 20 years ago and we revisted in February 2024. It's still exceptional. From Tearena at the front desk, Sandra at dinner, Pat at the Local, Majella at breakfast - it's obvious they're all good friends and a great team. Led so professionally by Debbie and Harry at the heart of it, even the newer members of staff behind the bar are so personable. They make you feel so welcome and at ease on a busy Saturday night or a quiet Sunday night. The food is amazing, from fine dining in the Harvest room followed by cocktails on Saturday night to the best fish & chips at the local (while watching Ireland play Italy - with pints), both perfect. We plan to make the another booking in the next year (and not wait for another 20 years!). Colm & Michele

We spent 2 nights @ Dunbrody and had a marvelous time. From the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by great hospitality and excellent staff. Our room was very very spacious and really comfortable. We had dinner in the restaurant and the quality and presentation were superb. As we were attending the cookery school on the 2nd day we were advised to book the local (onsite pub) for dinner on 2nd night and it was very good advise as we had a great day cooking and eating an exciting array of dishes prepared by Julien and ourselves. Again the food and service in "the local" were fantastic. Many thanks for a wonderful stay.

Meal was extremely disappointing, had to return mine. Don't mind paying for quality but this wasn't it. Our waitress was unable to open wine, so I came to rescue. Tv in room not working, no shelves in shower for . Headboard on bed loose. Very disappointed overall.

The service and food was first class, I would recommend staying here. the only thing i think worth noting is , check if your getting an attic room, the ceiling is very low for anybody 6ft2in, compared to what the norm would be. the location was good,

Myself and my husband stayed here for 2 nights the weekend of the 5th May 2023. We had the most fabulous weekend. Right from when we walked in the door we were made to feel so welcome. We were upgraded to an amazingly room and the top of the hotel as it was my husband’s 50th birthday. We were given a tour of the hotel and shown to our room. We then did the beautiful costal walk which was amazing. Covered in bluebells. After a long walk we stopped for lunch and a pint in the lovely pub the Kingsbay Inn. After returning to the hotel and our amazing room we got ready for dinner. The Harvest room restaurant is decorated so beautifully and the food was to die for. The meal cooked by head chef Janice Casey Bracken was out of this world and she even emailed me the recipe for the potato risotto which I really recommend getting. I also had the beef cheek which was beautiful. The whole day and night was perfect. The next day after a beautiful breakfast we headed off to hook lighthouse and then Tintern Abbey. We were blessed with the weather and had some beautiful walks. After returning to the hotel we had a drink sitting out in the gardens in the sun. The grounds of the hotel are also a must to walk around. The second night we had dinner in the bar where the food was also amazing and enjoyed some wonderful conversation with the staff especially Sandra, barman Pat, Debbie and Daniel. After another lovely breakfast the next morning we were checked out by the lovely Harry. Overall our stay was amazing and so relaxing and made all the better by the wonderful staff. Oh also check out the little gift shop across from the entrance to the hotel where we got little gifts for our girls. I would highly recommend this hotel and myself and my husband plan on returning Kellie and Charlie Beggs

We had a really enjoyable stay, though unfortunately only for one night, last month. The staff were all very friendly and the dinner in the main restaurant was everything we had anticipated. The hotel was kind enough to upgrade our rooms (there was a birthday involved) so we had a lovely view over the gardens. We particularly liked the old-world decor and furnishing, and the rooms and corridor were so warm despite the cold weather outside. Just one suggestion: if travelling from Cork it makes more sense to take the ferry crossing at East Ferry, which saves over an hour of driving. However the directions on the hotel website don’t mention this (and we weren’t informed of it when we phoned in advance to ask the best route). In fact we were only told about this shortcut by a member of staff when we were leaving. It would be a good idea to put this alternative route on your website. We hope to return and very much recommend this hotel for a relaxing stay.
