Fantastic service. Quaint rooms, comfortable beds and great breakfast. Owners went out of their way to get vegetarian alternatives, and were generally very welcoming and friendly. Affordable and close proximity to Canterbury City, would 100% recommend to everyone. Also a gorgeous dog on site!

The most terrible experience l have ever had at the hands of an inexperienced Londoner, who had little or no idea how to treat clients! Shower broken, room very pokey, no cooling system, noisy main road immediately outside the window! They have 2 very dangerous dogs, who attacked our dogs then blamed us for bringing the dogs in the first place! Breakfast mediocre! If you book and decide to complain, then make sure you know where your room key is!! Ours mysteriously disappeared whilst we were trying to eat breakfast! £ 70 charge for a replacement! AVOID!!!

Shower didn’t work, toilet didn’t flush, no chair in room to sit on, room on busy road so very noisy all night. No cooling equipment though owner said fan was in wardrobe! It wasn’t! Breakfast only average and for the price we paid i.e. £90 for room, £40 for dogs and £ 70 for replacement key, l think l was robbed!! Owners language was full of expletives and we were referred to as “mate & love” throughout! Outrageous price for dogs, £60 reduced to £40 after we complained bitterly! Talking of dogs, our dogs were attacked by their Alaskan Malamutes on 2 occasions in the short overnight that we stayed there and no form of apology was offered on either occasion! They were breeding from the ***** and claimed they were pets! If you read about Malamutes, they are bred to be in wide open spaces, pulling sledges etc, not stuck in a poky little inn with very little space! We were charged £60 for a room key we did not lose but were unable to prove! Asked for a refund of money which was not forthcoming. There is so much wrong with this place, l have had to report to trading standards and ***********. Before you book l would suggest that you read through the myriad of adverse reactions by house guests!

On arrival I was greeted by a man in old tracksuit pants, t-shirt, and tracksuit jacket, and he was clearly intoxicated. As a single female checking in this made me feel very uncomfortable and when I hinted at cancelling the man advised me that I was past the cancellation time so would pay whether I stayed or not. There were power cuts to the area that evening and they tripped the electrics. The first time this happened the man who checked me in reset the electrics but the second time I believe he had fallen asleep. I sat in the dark for a bit, then I rang the reception bell several times, eventually I went back to my room and called the hotel phone number, which he finally answered and said he would fix the electrics. I went to reception and explained that it was a very uncomfortable situation for a single woman to be checked into a very quiet hotel by an intoxicated man. He told me I could stay or go he didn't care but I was not getting a refund.

A bit unsure by some previous reviews but was very pleasantly surprised. Beautifully decorated room with a comfy bed. Very accommodating host and was even kind enough to give us a lift to the wedding venue nearby. A small gesture like that goes a really long way. Helpful and very polite, unfortunately to many drinks to enjoy the breakfast the following morning but would return if we had another wedding in the area. Thanks to Sarah for her wonderful hospitality.

Had a very warm welcome, great night's sleep and a lovely breakfast in the morning. We are regularly visiting Canterbury as our daughter is at Uni there, and we'll definitely stay again.

Stayed 3 nights, hosted by friendly hosts, Sarah & Tony. Clean room, comfy beds, TV, kettle etc, towels in the room. Rooms have been nicely renovated since some old photos seen online. Orange juice/tea/coffee served with a yummy full English breakfast. The B&B is a few seconds walk to the train station opposite, Chilham train station. You can then get a short train ride into Canterbury to save on parking/have a drink. Thank you for an enjoyable stay!

The host and hostess were very charming and welcoming. Only dislike which is no fault of the proprietor is the speeding cars. There should be a speed bump or with restrictions on the left hand side of the road as you face the building and the white pillar should have a reflector to help cars approaching to slow down. Difficulty in driving out of the car park because the road curves, fast cars approaching from the right and the white pillar partially obstruct your view.
