Amsterdam Lake Hotel

Compared to the other hotels I visited during my two week stay, this one was the best! Staff was amazing and the service too. Everything you need for a good Amsterdam experience. Really recommend to rent a bike in the morning and bike around the amazing lake and forest. Breakfast was also nice, highly recommend!

Some reviews are hilarious. It's normal for hotels to authorise a credit card, don't blame others when you chose to travel unprepared yourself lol. Either way, cozy room & competent staff. Small suggestion: extra pillows would be nice! I will definitely come back with my family this summer.

It was the wrong choice of hotel for an overnight flight transfer. I would have been far better off choosing a hotel serviced by the bus shuttle - this hotel was way too awkward to get to despite being so close to the airport.

The heater was broken in the room we were given. The front desk manager refused to give us another room only if we paid more which I was not willing to do as I already paid quite an amount for the room. The front desk manager quickly went onto trying to have me leave the hotel and stay somewhere else. While he said a heater would be provided, it never arrived. He said someone would come to fix the heater that was in the room, it didn't happen and I left the hotel way after the time he said someone would come to fix it. The front desk manager promised I would get a refund, however that hasn't happened yet. Additionally the room was sprayed full of perfume that we could not get rid of. It smelled like mold smell is being covered. I have never as a hotel guest been treated with such belittling and condescending manor as by this guy who called himself Patrick. I asked to speak to the Manager, however Patrick (the front desk manager) refused to connect me to him. The phone number given for the hotel on google maps was not answered by anyone. I contacted ********** and they could not reach the hotel on the phone either and so far emails have gone unanswered as well. Terrible experience which also cost me a fortune.

DO NOT STAY HERE, there are many reasons this hotel is terrible, such as stains on towels and sheets and very thin walls (you can hear EVERYTHING). But the main reason is that when we showered our hotel room flooded, I had a shower late at night and there was abit of water on the bathroom floor as it was around 2 am in the morning I left it then my friend had a shower in the morning and the whole floor flooded getting all are stuff on the floor wet. 5 mins after my friend got out the shower the staff stormed in to our room and started shouting at us. We trued to explain to them what happened and they just didn’t listen. Then they told us to leave so they could clean so we did, about an hour later they called us and told us to get our stuff and leave (they were kicking us out) even though we still had another night we paid for. They still haven’t given us our money. We will be taking this further as what they’ve done is illegal. Trust me don’t not stay here unless you want rude staff and horrible conditions. Also it’s a 2 hour and 30 minute walk to the town centre and a 30 minute walk to the closest bus stop.

Room have no window. Also very small. Now hangers or shelfs for clothes. The room was smilly. I felf like i was in prison. So i spent my whole day out to avoid this awful feeling of being stressed with room condition. I wouldn't rate the place more than 1 star.

The room was very small and cold, paid for a windowed room, view was to a dumpster. Room wasnt anything like in the pictures. Shower was working poorly and drain did not do its job properly. Everytime used, water stayed wet for whole day. There was no seal in the door so noise from the hallway came right in. Service at desk was nice.

After booking on ******* and canceling after I payed extra for the “pay at property” option, the hotel took half the amount for the room. Email the hotel 3 times and 2 days later no response. I’m afraid I’ve been scammed or the property is closed.
