We had a great time at Playa de Oro Lodge. The hotel is rustic, clean and in good condition. We had a room in one of the upper floors with a great view, the room was comfortable and the AC worked well. The food was simple but nice. There was enough variety over the 3 nights we stayed. The service is good; the owners show care to ensure everyone is having a nice time. The whale watching was the highlight, it was better than expected. We were able to see several groups of whales. The hike to the Playa de los deseos was great and the beach on the other side was one of the most beautiful beaches we have been too, great waves. Juancho the guide was great, helping everyone on the walk and we learned from him more about the area. The airport was a bit of a shock, hope they build the new one soon.

The place is in an amazing location, the staff is very friendly and there are a ton of activities to do. We were able to see the whales multiple times. The food was also great. We stayed there for 3 days, they picked up us from the airport and dropped us back.

This lodge is magical. My husband and I spent 4 days there and we couldn’t be happier. The lodge is beautiful, staff super friendly and helpful, activities are great and the food super fresh and delicious. We went whale watching and this experience was life changing. If You are ready for an adventure and disconnect you should try this place.

Very new and clean...view of huina beach. Still under construction. Quiet Not many restaurants around. But a couple shops. Take half hour boat trident from the airport. Gotta climb out of boat into water. Quiet deserted beach. Not many mosquitos. Notary people speak English.

My brother and I arrived for a 4 day fishing package and from the minute we arrived everything was great. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was delicious. The rooms were nice with plenty of space and equipped with floor fans and AC. If you are the type that needs a tv or constant wifi then probably stay somewhere else. If you want a very enjoyable and relaxing vacation with the only noise being the waves and the roosters then by all means visit this place. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The scenery is amazing. We would watch the schools of sardines if the beach while eating breakfast before loading on the boat. Whale sharks swimming just off the beach.

We stayed at Playa de Oro and fished for a day. It was more than fabulous! We loved everything about it and I know we will dream about our time there until we are lucky enough to return some Day and stay longer. It is simple but perfect. The staff were fabulous! Can’t say enough about how incredible this entire experience was. The food was excellent, the rooms were comfortable and clean. The people there were just lovely. If you are the type of person that needs a high end hotel experience don’t go to Bahia. It’s not for you. If you want a one of a kind, out of the way, heartwarming stay - GO! It’s unspoiled and just incredible. I wish I were there now.

El hotel es muy bueno. Su comida es lo más relevante. Muy bn preparada y variada. El Servicio de sus dueños también , varios planes para hacer además del avistamiento de ballenas . Es un excelente destino!
