Overall good place to stay on a road trip if you just need a place to crash and food close by. The room was outdated for sure, but clean and well kept... And I had no problem with that! Stayed on the ground floor so I could park my motorcycle right outside the door. The bathroom was well kept as well and the towels were good quality. For dinner I walked to El Erradero Mexican restaurant which I had found on the map while planning this trip, and the girl at the front desk had also said was good when I asked about it. The dinner at the hotel was good for breakfast. There is also a gas station a few minutes away by walking to get coffee if you are in need before the dinner opens up.

I contacted the hotel prior to arriving to ask for a quiet, upper level room. Closer to the arrival date I asked if we could get a renovated room and they wrote back that none were available. The receptionist was friendly when we checked in and we did get a very quiet bottom level room. She didn’t put anyone above us and the room next door was being renovated. It looked nice. Our room had very worn carpet with a squeaky floor, needed paint, and an update. The Wi-Fi and mini fridge both worked great. Everything was clean. The bed was very hard and since my hubby is a back sleeper he slept well. I’m a side sleeper and didn’t sleep as well. We brought our own pillows. Theirs were thin. We really appreciated the breakfast coupons for the restaurant and had the first choice plus added a few other things. Sandy, our waitress was really helpful. We would stay there again if we could get an updated room.

Nice small vintage motel in the middle of town. If you get a room backing on the river, open the windows to get that lovely sound. Nothing fancy, but clean and comfortable. Pool is available in the summer. Great staff and breakfast (very nice) included. My go to stay when in Baker City.

We read the reviews and they sounded pretty positive. It looked like part of the motel had been remodeled. Our room was NOT. Apparently they charge the same amount regardless of the room's condition. The almost $100 we were charged was for a VERY run down room with a very uncomfortable bed and pillows. The free breakfast ( be prepared to pay $2.50 a cup for the coffee) was the highlight. The remodeled rooms may be worth staying. I would be sure to look at your room before paying.

Positives first, we were running late arriving to the motel so the lady at the front desk waited past their office closing hours to make sure we got our keys.. so nice! Our room had 4 sets of clean towels, and once we turned our a/c on, it ran well. Our room was also very quiet considering every room was booked during our stay. This motel is very rundown. It is past the point of just adding paint, or changing out linens to make it better. It needs a complete overhaul. Even though the room seemed relatively clean, it was hard to tell because of the state of the room and furnishings. The beds are old and very used. The pillows are very thin and there is one per person if you are sleeping two to a bed. The sheets are very thin and when you get into bed the bottom sheet pulls up to expose the mattress. The top blanket is one I imagine (I don’t know for sure) is never changed, and the one below it had a large round dark stain on it. The lighting is low and the lamps are all old and in poor condition with old wiring and very loose sockets. The sink and light switches were damaged. The door only has a knob lock and an old school chain… didn’t give much of a sense of safety/security. The room smelled of mildew and incense. My clothes smelled of this the following day when we left. Neither the air conditioning or fridge were turned on when we arrived. I recognize this is an econo motel and had a very low price. But I think it’s time to up the price slightly and start renovating and refurnishing rooms. I also realize I was only in room 124 and maybe other rooms aren’t as run down as this one was. However, I would not stay again to find out.

It’s older but clean. The mattress was far better than last night’s stay at the super 8 in Spokane. A/c worked well and breakfast at the cafe next door was very good. It’s a budget hotel but was better than we expected for the price. We plan on returning next year. We liked the good shower pressure. Huckleberry milkshake at the cafe was $5. Deal!

I can’t believe anyone would rate it 4 stars. It’s run down, one paper thin blanket, poor heat, pancake pillow that I had to put a jacket under. If we hadn’t been so tired we would have left for another place. Avoid this dump.

Decent for a one-night stop driving through. I appreciated the delicious free breakfast tickets to the restaurant next door! (My kids had the free breakfast, I chose to use the $2 off a different menu item). The rooms were large, but the beds were hard and had me tossing and turning through the night. Otherwise I can't complain for the price!

We made a short overnight stay. Enjoyed walking around downtown Baker City - very easy walk from the motel. Motel staff is friendly (family run?) and breakfast was tasty and filling (again, very friendly staff). Room decor was dated, but that's not important to me; it was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Definitely good value for the cost.
