Loved this resort! Staff were incredibly attentive, rooms were beautiful, every room had private pool, breakfast was excellent….can’t say enough and will definitely book again The only possible drawback is that it’s a 15 minute drive from central Ubud- but this does mean it very quiet and peaceful Loved watching sunrise and sunset from the private deck!

The service and hospitality from the staff were 10/10 🫶🏼 We were welcomed with watermelon + lime juice, while completing our simple check in process. Then escorted by the Operations Manager Dewa to have a mini tour around the compound before heading to our room. The in-house chef is great at preparing vegetarian food, and is good at coming up with vegan options. The breakfast spread is really good, we were often way too full by the end of it 😆 It’s nice being in the middle of the forest - fresh air, nice nature vibes - except you definitely have to take extra steps to prevent bugs from coming near you. The bathroom is super spacious and rustic, and comes with a bathtub made of stone and a toilet fitted with bidet seat. We didn’t use the bathtub as I’m pregnant and it’s set on top of stones (i feel like it may be dangerous if i have to step out of there 🙈). Our room has a TV with netflix which is really nice to have as entertainment 😄 since we did not end up using the private pool outside the room. It was a bit stale and dirty on the first two days of our stay, before cleaning happened on the 3rd day. Free shuttle services to Ubud town area daily! Do note that Grab likely would not work here, better luck with Gojek based on our experience 👍 Overall, definitely recommend this retreat for anyone looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of the city!

The Sebali it’s a beautiful resort (adults only with spacious villa and private pool. If you are looking for a 5* service and a place where to relax, this is the place to stay in. We were treated like royalty by the staff, addressed by our names and greeted with a genuine smile every time. I was impressed how the staff communicated with each other and we didn’t have to ask twice for what we needed. They prepared a nice surprise for my sister’s birthday. The resort is located in the middle of the jungle and you can hear the birds singing a d listen to the calming sound of the waterfall and the resort is surrounded by rice fields. It's so green, you get the true Bali vibe here. Ubud it’s not very far away (15min) if no traffic and the hotel has a free shuttle bus to Ubud town. Breakfast is amazing, yoga was good and we enjoyed the massage. We would stay in this resort again and I highly recommend it. Thank you to all the hotel staff a special thank you to Hendra.

I recommend this hotel a hundred times. It was a dream and everything more. I love the fact it’s in a remote area in the jungle. It has amazing views and the pool area was my favourite. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you !!!

Wonderful is an understatement of my time here. I was welcomed with welcome drinks and a tour of the resort ensuring I was well-informed of my stay before getting introduced to my room. The staff was well prepared in the mosquitoes with mosquito repellent spray and an ultrasonic pest repellent which was super beneficial for my boyfriend who gets bit very easily. The little executions of their services and kindness is what really drove the experience of our stay. Few service features to highlight: - Option to have our room refreshed either in the morning or evening - Laundry service being picked up and dropped off at our room (separate charge) - What's App communication with front desk with prompt responses - Preparing breakfast for us at 2:15AM for our hike to Mt. Batur - Transportation services for us to also explore The Kayon Jungle Resort (free entry) and utilize their facilities as well (separate charge that can be billed back to you room) Their complimentary breakfast was always lovely, I looked forward to waking up early to have their breakfast. We also had an opportunity to watch their culture dinner show which had a cute closing by inviting their audience to come join them dance the ”Friendship Dance”. 10/10 would recommend!!
Villa JJ and Spa Ubud

Chose this place as it was not in a very touristic part of Bali. The room I had was beautiful with outdoor bathroom + shower, the staff was very nice and has tour + spa services they offer with extra fee. Beware of the tours, if you exceed the hours it's supposed to last, you'll pay extra! I wasn't made aware of that which was a major disappointment. Besides the driver was adorable and made adjustments for me to enjoy as much as possible. Other bummer: the resort is close to a pig farm so there is an unpleasant smell and horrible screams for a couple of hours per day.
