Sather Berkeley, SureStay Collection by BW ★★★

📍 1820 University Ave, Berkeley

"Compared to Los Angeles, the price/performance ratio is definitely lower, but it's pretty good in downtown Berkeley. There's a Trader Joe's across the street. If you're on a budget, this might be the first choice for visiting Berkeley."

Sather Berkeley, SureStay Collection by BW ★★★
"Booked 5 nights from 2 to 7 August 2025 but had to do early check-out on 4 August and forfeit the 3 nights that was already paid for. Feedback from the female business traveler below: ' 这个酒店房间漏水，非常吵 关了门也很吵 然后员工在半夜10点和早上8点直接开门进来 还好我反锁了'"

"The front staff was very helpful and friendly during our stayed, we really had a good time. Food was good and location is very convenient to move around with TARGET just around the corner and many restaurants nearby too. Will be back to stay in the same hotel if we visit Berkeley again."

"This hotel comes with a kitchen, and there's a supermarket nearby, which is super convenient. It's an excellent choice for UC Berkeley students and their parents, especially during admission and graduation seasons, as it's located close to the campus."

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Berkeley Marina ★★★★
"This hotel is located by the sea, offering distant views of San Francisco and Berkeley University on a clear day. Unfortunately, it's been raining for the past few days, which really highlighted the downside of its somewhat remote location. There's a free parking lot next to the hotel's own paid parking. The breakfast area has a very pleasant ambiance. Breakfast isn't a buffet; it's à la carte. The breakfast voucher generally covers the standard breakfast sets, so no extra payment is usually needed. After staying here, I definitely agree with the scores on Trip.com and Agoda. The main reason for the lower ratings is the outdated facilities – the AC was broken, and the faucet wasn't working very well."

University Inn & Suites Berkeley ★★
"The rooms were very warm despite the cool night air outside. However, leaving the windows open was not an option because it was very noisy outside. You would occasionally hear the very loud freight train running along. There was some tidying e.g. emptying the trash/making the bed but the bathroom floor was not swept. The washing machine in the building looked like it had been broken for a long time and no sign of getting repaired soon. It's a worn down building with minimum service but it's OK for the price."
