I went to this hotel for a mid-week vacation with my lovely daughter. With an UBER it was about 10 Euro to get to the hotel. Check-in was smooth, the older man behind the desk wasnt overly friendly but rather efficient and that was fine. We paid the tourist-tax and got one room-key for our room. We paid online about 80 Euro a night and we got a room with three beds at the back. The room was clean and simple. A desk with a big-screen TV, a shower-room with a toilet and a wash-basin. The shower was ok but we didnt like the shower-curtains. Also the water would be warm for about five minutes but it didnt bother us. Everyday cleaning with new linen and towels. In the morning you can have breakfast but you have to pay for it. We didnt use it. The hotel is set conveniently in the middle of Berlin near Kurfurstenstrasse and Dam. Near the U-Bahn and busses.

Everything is great except the renovations outside the building, hard to find the apartment and it’s no sign.

In a self-service hotel, first-time guests may have to spend some time and effort to understand it before they can successfully check in. The hotel does not have a front desk, so it is inconvenient to store luggage.

I booked my stay at GINN primarily based on it's location as it's within close proximity to family. Situated just a 5 minute walk between two U-Bahn stations Yorckstraße & Mehringdamm you can easily reach the city centre just a few stops away. You also have the fabulous eateries around Bergmannkiez a stones throw away as well as the beautiful Viktoria Park which is one block from the hotel. My booking was made via *********** and the booking process was simple. The day before my arrival I received a registration form via email from the hotel. This was meant to save time checking-in at the hotel as you simply needed to encode your room card on arrival (sadly this didn't work). Reception staff were able to assist and I was given the room key card. I stayed in room 104 for a 8 night duration. The room was modern, spacious & comfortable. It had plenty of storage and amenities for my stay. GINN Hotel have some really cool concepts like their GINN Mission - you get a free drinks voucher for the bar if you forego housekeeping that day. I highly recommend trying out their amaretto glühwein on the rocks in you are there during December. The only negative about the hotel was the lingering smell throughout the day in the lobby area which, I'm guessing, is from the restaurant at breakfast. I'm hoping to be back in Berlin within the coming weeks and look forward to another stay at GINN.

Use as a starting point for city trips Berlin, cheap for arrival by car, but only a few parking spaces available. A popular hotel especially with younger clients and cheap from our point of view. The decor is something unusual but originally designed, although the rooms are not very large, but are fully enough for some nights. Breakfast is fully in order and offers something for everyone, the bar is also OK. The staff was always friendly and competent, the rooms were clean. Small unusual features such as a Bluetooth with the mobile mirror including sound system, lighting and heating against seat in the bathroom make the time in the clean modern bathroom more pleasant.
