The hotel has a brilliant location with free parking which was good for a town centre stay. The room was very clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Will visit again. From the front of the hotel you can see the sea, the beach is a 10 minute walk and also the town centre only took us 5 minutes t be at the BIC.

Steer clear! I checked in and out within a hour! The room was dirty, smelly and damp! The bathrooms extractor fan and light wasn’t working, the shower door was hanging off with green slim in my shower! The water stopped working and was cold and the bed lining was dirty. The door to the room was not working even with a key card (I kept opening ) I was not offered a alternative room and was told I could get a refund all I had to do was call the provider on the Monday and they would authorise the refund, when I called *********** they told me the manager of the hotel has refused my refund. The manager Danielle has done nothing but lie about my stay and has totally ignored the fact that the room was not fit for purpose she is more interested in telling me that they offered me another room (They did not ) I had to drive over 100 miles home after not spending the night. Ps I am not a princess and could of lived with most of these things but couldn’t stay in a room where I didn’t feel safe with my elderly mum and daughter!

It was a nice, large clean room. It was just right for my one-night's stay. I have no concerns. There was also free parking at the back of the hotel. The hotel is just a short walk from the Bournemouth International Centre, making it a good choice for attending a conference event.

We booked last minute Brookland lodge. We got a basement room 604 smelling of dump. I complained about noise coming from shower and toilet running right jet to our window. Room had horrible smell, wall next to bed was dirty also bathroom had broken stuff and there was dump marks on chair which proof this room was not fir for stay and need health and safety asesment. To add we were woken up by water, from either toilet or shower started ranning on us while bed. When we contacted reception they told us they will be there when they will be there. I explained we are on holidays and have booked arrangements and we need new room immediately. After hour and half we got another room. What made us angry is that they had this room available but they put us on dump. They normally charge around £50 a night but we paid £276 for 2 night so we were expecting a nice stay. We did not end up staying next night as all our clothes were smelling of dump from first room. We were told no money for that night will ve returned and we accepted as it was our choice to go but we were hoping they will refund first night for horrible mistake they did. I just read here this room had problems previously so that made me upset they knewcbut still were using it for booking. They refused to refund anything and were swerving from the fact they should refund for first night but praising themself they gave us new room next day. This is not right and they need to be stopped scamming people. DO NOT BOOK as photos on our booking were from different room.

Very comfortable stay at BROOKLANDS. We were in the guest house opposite side of the road to the main guesthouse. Man on reception extremely helpful. I think the sign on the door of the 2nd guesthouse should be updated as it wasn’t clear where we needed to check-in - the had written note was not clear in the directions. Hotels are situated close to all amenities and beach so good location. Was relieved to be located on ground floor with my child, although there are several stairs up to the front door, it could have been worse with more stairs up to our room. Rooms were very clean and tidy. Would have been handy to have mini-fridge in the room. Overall, I would recommend this guesthouse for somewhere basic to visit Bournemouth Beach and local surroundings.

Great room with comfy double and single bed, fantastic shower and all accessories needed for our stay. Travelled with partner and 3 year old sob. Great location for the beach and central attractions. Would definitely stay again

Man on check in was nice and polite. Unfortunately the family rooms are on the third floor with no lift. We had an infant and was unable to carry the pram up that many stairs so had to keep putting it back in the car and back out again before going out. The front did smell of ***** people were smoking and if you had your windows open it wasn’t long before you had to close unless you enjoy it yourselves …. We unfortunately had people on the top floor rowing at midnight then a man brought friends back were loud rowing laughing listening to music loud and then had a dog ! Phoned at 3am when had enough and woke my child to ask them to do something. They did call the room and it went quiet and then within ten minutes the fire alarm was going off and the man was outside his room waving his hands under the fire alarm claiming he didn’t know why it was going off with his room stinking of smoke and the rest … The manager was over quickly to advise us a false alarm and can go inside the fire brigade was coming to switch off. An hour later they checked and advised him he needed to do it himself. What a waste of the emergency services!! I also informed him of the room that was of fault and that the dog was still in there! Their website doesn’t state they’re pet friendly so unsure why the person wasn’t kicked out then. He was the next day but I wasn’t given an apology for the disturbed night. Another room had the manager in to complain but was advised wouldn’t be a refund at all for the fire alarm or distress it caused a lot of guests. Over 4 separate rooms complained and nothing was done until the next day or refunds etc. there was lots of family’s staying. The second night was a lot better just the smoke smell still and a person asleep on the ground floor by the stairs and then the middle floor in the way which I heard a lady wake him and tell him to move and he did to one side apparently he lost his room key and decided the hallways were the best place to stay.. we checked out and didn’t bother to complain again just said thank you. The parking is free if you can get a space which is its best feature. The triple room on there website pictures has a fridge but this is untrue as not one on our stay. The cleaner (lady with blonde curly hair didn’t get her name ) was lovely helped us when we asked and got the manager over etc and even said sorry for all that on goings. The location is great … it’s close to everything. I have uploaded pictures of my brothers room with mould in bathroom The place needs a general update and s loft or put family and less abled on the ground floor.

The whole hotel stay was terrible. Walls was thin can hear everything and everyone. U av to bang the doors to go in and out off your rooms. My mums room in 601 floor damp everything damp, pillows and towels. Leak outside against the window that causes all the condensation. Smell from the basement rooms. My room had a mouldy shower curtain and shower head had pink mould. Shower curtain replaced with a new one and they cleaned the shower head still left with mould on. Fire alarm going off for nearly two hrs at 04:00 in the morning for nearly two hrs all family’s up. Fire brigade called no-one trained to av one code to turn it off as someone was smoking in there room. Took the manager two hrs to sort. A dog was in the hotel. People parting loud noise. No refund at all offered. Rooms in the basement had to ask for the hot water to be turned on. Stay away from this hotel.
