The room was comfortable, slightly small compared to others but it ok for a few nights. Requested to be away from the lift and quiet room but funny enough they arranged my room right next to the lift and was noisy all night.

Updating on maintenance on the mini fridge area. TV is in good working order and has the typical channels, WiFi has good signal. 

The hotel doesn’t supply any disposable toothbrushes etc you will need to purchase them if you need. 

As previous reviews states that the location is not the best place but it does have a hotel shuttle that goes to and from Kwai Fong MTR every 30mins and they also have local bus stops outside that go directly to and from the airport. Also 10mins walk to Tai Wo Hau station MTR. 

They have a laundry room if you are planning to stay longer or if you needed something to be washed. And uses octopus card or contactless payment to work. 

I don’t know if the restaurant downstairs is part of the Dorsett but they really mess up with their prices on dim sum and will overcharge you if you don’t take a close look at the bill. If you are not local and are tourist they will try to take advantage, which ruined my experience on my stay. Please be aware, better to eat elsewhere or like other guests order takeout!

Overall it was an ok stay for a few nights and the hotel staff was friendly compared to others.

The hotel is about a ten-minute walk from the MTR station, which is acceptable. First of all, the front desk service was excellent. After checking in, I needed to borrow a phone charger, and the front desk staff went out of their way to help me, trying twice to find a suitable one. Then, the room was incredibly good value for money. Because I arrived quite late with my child, the front desk kindly upgraded our room for free. It's my first time staying in such a spacious room in Hong Kong for only a few hundred dollars. Plus, they honored my request from the booking platform to be away from the elevators and on a higher, quieter floor. The room had a living area and a bedroom. The living area had a sofa bed and another bed, while the bedroom had two beds. There were TVs in both areas, a humidifier, an air purifier, and even a vanity table. The bathroom even had disinfectant. The only minor drawback was that the shower partition next to the bed was clear glass. Although there was a curtain, you could still see through it. However, it wasn't a major issue since there's a door separating the bedroom from the living area.

Room Environment: My 'premium room' with frosted, non-opening windows turned out to be a 'cemetery view room' or 'mountain view room,' right next to the Hong Kong Cemetery. It was surprisingly quiet though. I imagine a city view room might be a bit noisy since it's by an elevated highway.

Cleanliness: Not great. I felt like the countertops weren't wiped down, there were water stains everywhere, and I even found a long hair from a previous guest on the wall.

Facilities: Besides the disposable toiletries, they provide basic amenities like a fridge, hairdryer, makeup mirror, kettle, and even hand soap and body lotion. However, everything is quite old; even the plastic cups had scratches on the inside. On the bright side, there's a free pinball machine downstairs which was pretty fun.

Service: The front desk staff were okay, and they spoke Mandarin which was helpful. You have to buy toiletries yourself from a vending machine downstairs, and there's no water dispenser in the room; you have to get water from one in the hallway. If your room is near the dispenser, you'll definitely hear people filling their bottles.

Value for Money: If it were around 500 RMB, a cemetery view room would be great value. But I booked three weeks in advance for over 700 RMB, and it was non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and I couldn't even change the guest name. Then, closer to the May Day holiday, the price was practically cut in half! So, keep an eye on the pricing when you book.

Overall, my stay was quite good. The biggest flaw in the entire room was the bathroom not having a wet/dry separation! When showering, water consistently overflowed throughout the entire bathroom and even seeped onto the room's floor, making it slippery. This led to me slipping and falling during my shower, injuring my knees and arms. The subsequent handling of the incident showcased the hotel's inconsistent service quality.

Initially, I spoke with Manager Wu for a resolution. Not only did she fail to help me, but she also told me that if I went to the hospital for a check-up and requested a refund, they would not assist me with a room change. Her way of handling the issue was truly disheartening. What I wanted was for the wet/dry separation problem to be resolved, because the core issue isn't about a refund, but about my safety. If it's not addressed and I slip again, leading to a secondary injury, the situation would be far more serious.

Later, Manager Guo took over. After understanding my situation, he immediately upgraded our room to one with a wet/dry separated bathroom and arranged for staff to help move my luggage to the new room. His service attitude is highly commendable. Furthermore, the service attitudes of the hotel's front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping staff are also commendable. Especially Coco, upon learning about my old knee injury and fear of slipping, helped clean the bathroom floor and provided me with towels. Because my son is a DSE candidate this year, the restaurant staff went above and beyond to help him with his exams, including providing daily breakfast takeaways and a travel adapter at the restaurant.

Overall, the service attitude is praiseworthy, but I hope the hotel strengthens its service attitude training for all staff to ensure everyone provides a high standard of service to guests. Moreover, I hope the hotel can promptly address the issue of non-separated wet/dry bathrooms to ensure guests' safety and experience during their stay.

Booked this hotel again for a concert. It's about a 13-minute walk from Mong Kok or Olympic Station. Right across the street, there's a McDonald's, a ParknShop supermarket, a wet market, and plenty of small eateries.

The room size is pretty standard for Hong Kong – neat, clean, and no strange odors. The shower heats up quickly, and there are clean towels provided. However, you'll need to bring your own toiletries or buy them from the self-service machine in the lobby; a toothbrush (with toothpaste) costs 1 HKD per set.

The only minor drawback is that the bed is probably only 1.9 meters long, which is a bit short.

Family trip during Chinese New Year. It's a bit far from the subway station, but the price is quite reasonable. It's close to the racecourse, and the room size is decent. It's all about value for money, a good choice for holiday travel.

I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The location was very convenient, making it easy to get around and explore nearby places. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, attentive, and always ready to help. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, which made the overall experience even more enjoyable.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice and hassle-free stay.

I have frequently chosen this hotel for its prime location and excellent value. As a business traveler, I typically opt for rooms without windows, which suits my needs as I rarely have time for scenic views. During my most recent stay, Room 327 was particularly satisfactory, offering a pleasant layout and convenient proximity to the lift without any noise disturbance.
On this occasion, I utilized the gym facilities. Unfortunately, the treadmill was outdated and noisy, indicating a lack of maintenance. The gym itself is rather small and features limited equipment. I hope to see improvements in this area in the future. 
The hotel offer breathtaking scenery from the pool deck.
Despite all this, I intend to return.

The room is clean but the space limited. The iron provided at the corridor area. Water heater functioning well. They provide private parking easy to park. Breakfast not very much choice but okay. The location very strategic because near pavilion and trx mall.

The hotel offers excellent service. The staff are very attentive and welcoming. The hotel is very clean, and the rooms are spacious and quiet, making for a pleasant and relaxing environment.

While the lobby is quite luxurious, the hallways are in a state of disrepair, looking quite dilapidated. However, the in-room facilities are surprisingly complete and the room itself is very comfortable. It's clear that this is an old hotel; the carpets are worn and the air conditioning is noisy. But on the plus side, it's cheap, the room is spacious, and the window view is nice. It's also close to the city center, and there's a convenience store in the lobby downstairs. Overall, it's not bad.
Toothbrushes are an extra charge, and you need to get a hairdryer from the front desk. I recommend bringing your own slippers.

We requested wake up calls for 4 mornings & out of those 4 days, wake up calls never came in 2 mornings. We almost missed an appointment because of that. This is the only hiccup we experienced. Other than that, our stay was generally enjoyable.

Due to the late arrival of Scoot flight TR611 from Suvarnabhumi past 11.30 pm, it costs me S$21.30 by Grab to arrive at Dorsett Changi City Hotel from Changi Airport. I stayed here one night for the convenience of boarding the free shuttle bus service at the neighbouring Expo Hall 5 for Singapore Airshow 2026 past 7 am on 8 February 2026. 

There is no need to pay the room deposit for one night stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel.

The room rate is overpriced as the room allocated to me is small. There is no pair of indoor slippers or sandals to wear and there is no room razor to use. Instead of four-class service, the hotel service should be classified as three-class instead.

Top quality body lotion as well as body and hand wash are provided for room use.

There is free filtered water to drink. 

Like Maya Hotel in Phuket, the toilet is separated from the shower room but Dorsett guests hang towels in the toilet and not the shower room! Flooding occurs after showering.

Breakfast also starts at 6.30 am but it costs S$33.57 per guest. This is the breakfast rate payable to the reception by debit card, credit card or cash while it costs S$39 plus if the guest pays for breakfast at the hotel's Cosmo Restaurant. 

6.30 am is the earliest breakfast outside homes in Changi as the nearest convenience store 7-11 is opened only at 7 am daily. The restaurant serves more varieties of fruits than other hotel restaurants as well as multi-grain bread.

Cosmo Restaurant is also running ala carte buffet lunch promo rate at S$29.90 per person. Members of the public can also eat here.

During winter months, planes can be seen flying past Standard Chartered Bank Building of Changi Business Park from the lift corridor. The reception says hotel guests on the hotel's swimming pool deck can also see planes flying.

I recommend to stay at Dorsett Changi City Hotel for one night only if guests wanted to go to Expo to attend a MICE event on the next day, catch an early free shuttle bus to Singapore Airshow or stay at a cheaper rate than Yotelair Changi during transit.

This hotel offers great value for money in Singapore. I booked a voucher through Ctrip in advance, which made it half the price of a regular booking. The hotel is right next to the MRT station, so transportation is super convenient. The room is a bit small, but that's typical for Singapore.
