It was a wonderful stay overall. The rooms are on the smaller side, but the service is excellent and the location is great. I was surprised that, on two separate occasions, different employees approached me to confirm whether I was an in-house guest. I’m not sure if this is standard practice for all guests, but it did catch me off guard, and made me feel uncomfortable especially given that this is a well-known international establishment. That aside, I would definitely recommend the Taj. Beautiful Christmas decorations!

Most stunning and Incredible hotel and stay. All the staff right from the entrance, to check in desk, porters, security to house keeping were all excellent and very friendly. Breakfast options were always very good and plentiful but I would advise going early to avoid queues and sitting outside where I didn't find the service to be very good on the one day we had to sit outside. The management really went out of their way for us to help us with a few issues we had. Rooms on certain floors are very dated and can do with some improvements but they are aware of this already.

Huge spacious room, cabinets/mini bar area were slightly moist.. had the wet wooden smell. Breakfast was okish. 

Good for a one night stay if you're heading to the airport the next day. Less than 5mins walking distance to T1.  Buggy is avail / staff can help you with your luggage to the terminal. Multiple eateries at the airport too if you're not into proper sit down dining at the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. The staff service was exceptional, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The team was always checking if we needed anything or if housekeeping was required, which made us feel truly well looked after.

The breakfast buffet staff were extremely attentive and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us and provide items we requested, even when they were not listed on the menu. Their goal was clearly to ensure that guests enjoy their meal and leave happy.

A special mention goes to their unique Food Spa service, where hot water is provided for soaking the feet for relaxation. This service can be requested and is delivered to the room within around 20 minutes, which was a very thoughtful and relaxing experience.

This is a hotel that I give a score of over 10. It is in Mumbai, India. I would say it is very good. The location is good, the bed is clean, the room is large. The atmosphere in the hotel is very good, it smells clean. All the hotel staff take very good care of you. The breakfast is very delicious. The pool is very large and the hotel has many activities. If I go to Mumbai, I will want to stay at this hotel again.

I had a very comfortable stay during my recent business trip. The hotel is well-located, making it convenient for meetings and travel. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff were professional and attentive throughout my stay.
The room was clean, well-maintained, and equipped with a good workspace and reliable Wi-Fi, which made it easy to work efficiently. The breakfast options were also excellent and helped start the day on a positive note.
Overall, a great choice for business travelers — I would definitely stay here again.

I was transiting in India for 24hrs by myself and I had the best time here. I did not leave the hotel because I relaxed at the hotel. I went and used the spa and it was so relaxing. 
I had lunch and dinner at The Southern spice restaurant and for both meals I was attended by Bala and Shafi who were so attentive, polite and wanting me to have the best experience. For dinner, I listened to Bala's suggestions for dinner options and it was worth it, he kept checking on my table and filling up any items. 
I would definitely stay here again, the staff are so polite and always wanting to help out.

The staff was outstanding, extremely friendly and they made our stay very special. The whole hotel is very cozy, warm and well maintained. The breakfast was superior. We had a great stay!

The location is perfect, close to OMR, ECR, and easy access to city. 
The hotel is immaculate with beautiful aroma while entering.  The rooms are really large 484ft². If you are smokers, you would need to upgrade to a balcony room as the property is a non-smoking environment. 
The beds are extremely comfortable, and the sheets are perfect. Each room has a comfortable couch for a work station.  The kitchenette is available to use at an additional 3000 inr extra. The dishwasher is available for use. 
Bathroom is very spacious, and not to mention TAJ Soaps.. 
Pool, Gymnasium, steam and sauna are complimentary.

Lake Palace floating in the middle of Lake Pichola is a classic image of Udaipur. This historic building is no longer a royal palace but a hotel. LP calls it a world-renowned hotel. This may be an overstatement. But the first time I saw it in a magazine in white years ago, I remembered it.
        Looking at the palace in the water from different angles by the lake will make people curious, especially in the beautiful light of sunrise and sunset. So the next night, I boarded the lake palace from a special dock near the lake. There are yachts on Lake Pichola, but they are only open during the day. It is a rare opportunity to take a boat at night, especially looking at the lights reflected on the water of the city palace and lake palace. The moment is really beautiful, and sitting Boat to the hotel in the middle of the lake is even more special experience.
        From landing to entering the hotel lobby, there will be several staff to guide, welcome speech, take luggage, order cinnabar, hand towels and welcome drinks, and so on. The division of labor is clear. These are the standard procedures for this type of hotel. The welcome petals were sprinkled from the upstairs terrace. No one was visible in the darkness, and there was a feeling of falling from the sky. After Check in, my sister in Sari took me to the room. The hotel is large, and my room is on the other side. I followed her along the way to observe her gait. I have to say that Indian women walking in sari are really swaying.
        In addition to its special location and history as a palace, one of the reasons for this hotel's famousness may have appeared on the big screen as the scene of ”Octopus” in the 007 series of 1983 films. However, I don't have much impression of this movie, and the look from the lobby to the room has made me a little disappointed. It is not as magnificent as I thought, and there is a trace of oldness. The hotel upgraded the room type for me free of charge. The view from the lake view room was very good.
        I got up early the next morning, opened the curtains, and there was already light on the lake outside. Looking up from the hotel, the slightly cool air is very fresh, and the city and lake in the morning light are quiet and dreamy, making people feel refreshed. After watching the morning scenery, I walked around. There is no second guest who wakes up early in the large hotel, which gives me a kind of exclusive joy. The pure white hotel looks noble and elegant, and the garden is exquisite, but I still think it is overly praised in all travel guides.
        Had lunch at the hotel before check out, and luckily chose the best location. Looking out of the pavilion, the city palace on the opposite side looks like gold-plated in the sun. Pigeons glide across the sparkling water, and the dinghies that transport guests from time to time shuttle on the lake. Maybe hundreds of years ago, the princes were here, and they looked at the beautiful city they created with satisfaction.

We chose Taj Aravali Resort & Spa, Udaipur specifically to celebrate our anniversary, but the experience turned out to be disappointing.
Before arrival, we had written via email requesting a complimentary upgrade (only if possible) and shared that it was our anniversary. The hotel assured us that they would do their best, mentioning that they would decorate the room and arrange a cake. However, upon arrival, there was nothing prepared. Later in the evening, a staff member came and asked when we would be going out so that they could decorate the room. We adjusted our plans and gave them time, hoping it would make the occasion special for my wife and child. Unfortunately, even after that, no proper arrangement was done and there was no cake as promised in the email.
The location is quite far from the main city, making it less convenient. The property also did not feel very photogenic as expected.
Food quality was average with limited variety. During breakfast, the restaurant staff was largely inattentive — no one checked on us or asked if our child needed anything. The only exception was Mr. Gulshan and one female staff member who were helpful during dinner.
Before this, we stayed for three days at Trident Udaipur, where the service and food quality were excellent, which made this experience feel even more disappointing in comparison.
Overall, we chose Taj to make our anniversary special, but it did not meet expectations associated with the Taj brand.

Absolutely love the hotel. Santhosh has been very helpful and provides excellent service. It’s right inside city palace and has the most amazing lake view. Highly recommended! The room we stayed in was so beautiful and comfortable we extended one more night.
