The hotel is wonderful, in a great location. Everything is very, very good, except for one very big 'BUT'. According to hotel policy, check-in is at 2 PM. I arrived at the hotel at 2:10 PM, and after all the paperwork was done, they told me to wait 15 minutes because the room wasn't ready yet 😅😅. Five stars, seriously? I thought, 'okay, these things happen,' but I ended up getting into the room at 3:15 PM!!! This is unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber. All I got from the hotel was, 'Sorry, we're trying to get the room ready as quickly as possible.' And for that service alone, it gets 0 points.

We had a wonderful stay at the Taj Mahal Hotel, Mumbai. The staff service was exceptional, and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The team was always checking if we needed anything or if housekeeping was required, which made us feel truly well looked after.

The breakfast buffet staff were extremely attentive and helpful. They went out of their way to assist us and provide items we requested, even when they were not listed on the menu. Their goal was clearly to ensure that guests enjoy their meal and leave happy.

A special mention goes to their unique Food Spa service, where hot water is provided for soaking the feet for relaxation. This service can be requested and is delivered to the room within around 20 minutes, which was a very thoughtful and relaxing experience.

Thank you to the entire team for a memorable and pleasant stay.

Stayed there for one night, check-in took a bit of time not sure why but the check out took only a few second, the staff are very friendly, getting Uber to the hotel lobby is confusing for the drivers, rooms are massive with comfy beds and pillows. You should add coffee machine. Overall it was decent 👌🏾

A wonderful weeklong stay, thanks to the entire team

We had a truly pleasant weeklong stay at Taj Lands End. The staff were genuinely warm and helpful throughout. The breakfast spread was quite good, offering plenty of variety.

While frontline staff rightly receive the most recognition, I’d like to shine a light on the silent warriors behind the scenes—the housekeeping team, who work tirelessly to ensure every guest is comfortable. A special shout-out to Mr. Umesh from housekeeping, who went out of his way to make a real difference to our stay.

Thank you, Team Taj Lands End, for a memorable experience.

This is a hotel that I give a score of over 10. It is in Mumbai, India. I would say it is very good. The location is good, the bed is clean, the room is large. The atmosphere in the hotel is very good, it smells clean. All the hotel staff take very good care of you. The breakfast is very delicious. The pool is very large and the hotel has many activities. If I go to Mumbai, I will want to stay at this hotel again.

This is an excellent hotel. I stayed in other Tajs in Chennai  before. The hotel is the best value for money among Tajs in Chennai. This hotel does not offer guests any unwanted attention - which I always prefer. The breakfast was outstanding. Special thanks to Ms Ipshita, Mr Madan and Mr Tapas at the restaurant. They offered remarkable services. I will prefer this hotel in my next trip to Chennai.

I stayed at the hotel from 29 May 2026 to 7 Jun 2026. Except for an unpleasant encounter with the gym staff who tailed me from the gym to the sauna/changing area on 1 Jun,

I was always greeted with a bright smile and respect from the moment I set foot at the front entrance until I entered my room. I would particularly like to commend the doormen Ilayarajah, Yuvi and Loganathan, the catering team John and his team members Subbu, Suresh, Siva and Vinoth as well as Venkat and his concierge team.

Regarding the gym incident, I was visiting birding sites for my Chennai trip so had to carry a big backpack for my Sony camera and sufficient water supply for the very warm weather.

On the above-mentioned day, I had returned a little earlier in the evening and headed straight to the gym in my birding gear. I was annoyed when the gym staff tailed me to the sauna area and left to tell the Guest Relations Staff at the Lobby.

Where do I begin? Travelling with a toddler is no easy task, and the team at Taj Connemara made it worthwhile, smooth, and exciting. It all began with Ms Jasmine who religiously followed up with all our requests and requirements for childproofing the Heritage Room we stayed. From additional mineral water bottles, bumpers on furniture, soft toys for bath, and an excellent baby cot, Ms Jasmine coordinated with her ground team and got everything ready before we checked in. The icing on the cake was the remarkable welcome gift for our daughter consisting of excellent baby skincare products from an established brand.

The stay itself was fantastic with a cosy room, abundance of toiletries, and exceptional breakfast. Shoutout to Mr Baskaran for attending to all our breakfast requests for our daughter. The baby dosa was a hit!

Located in a prime spot in Chennai next to Spencer Plaza and the newer EA Mall, Taj Connemara is strategic. Travel to major shopping centres and traditional clothing stores was made easy.

Last but not least, the hospitality and polite service offered by the staff of Taj Connemara was nothing short of amazing. They made our short trip to Chennai a memorable one and we look forward to coming again very soon!

Kudos to everyone at Taj Connemara for ensuring my family and I have a great time at your hotel.

Regards,
Linges

A very nice hotel. Excellent service. Clean rooms. The only problem was that their pool was undergoing renovations when I checked in, but there was no notice of this. This was important to me, as I chose this hotel partly because of the pool. But they provided a car to take us to a nearby hotel that has a swimming pool. But the pool there is smaller and shallow, I'd say it's more of a children's pool.Otherwise the hotel is very good.

We recently stayed at Taj Yeshwantpur, Bengaluru to celebrate my mother's birthday. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and there were several things the hotel did well. The check-in process was smooth, the reception staff were courteous, and we genuinely appreciated the effort the team put into decorating the room with balloons and a cake for my mother's birthday and upgrading us to a higher floor. That thoughtful gesture made the celebration special.

However, what stood out was that many of the small details expected from a luxury brand like Taj were missing.
Luxury hospitality is often defined by consistency in the little things. While walking through the corridors, several staff members passed by without even a smile or a simple greeting. It may seem minor, but these small interactions are what create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. At other luxury hotels such as Oberoi or St. Regis, the staff consistently make you feel like a valued guest throughout your stay. Unfortunately, we didn't get that feeling here.
There were also several oversights with the room setup. The room was booked for three guests, yet only two pairs of slippers, two toothbrushes, and one bathrobe were provided. We had to call housekeeping for additional amenities. Again, it's a small detail, but these are the small things that guests naturally expect at this level of hospitality.
The Locker rooms just had towels with no bath robes and slippers. Clearly it's cost cutting and any experienced traveller would feel that.
Breakfast was not up to the mark as well. I usually start my morning with soup, which is commonly available at many luxury hotel breakfast buffets. When I politely asked if soup was available, the response was simply, ”We don't serve soup here,” rather than offering a warm or helpful alternative.
None of these issues individually ruined our stay. In fact, the birthday arrangement and reception experience were genuinely appreciated. But when you're staying at a property carrying the Taj name, it's the attention to detail that makes the experience exceptional. Those details were unfortunately missing throughout our stay.
I hope this feedback is taken constructively because the foundation is clearly there. With better attention to small touches and more consistent guest interaction from the staff, the overall experience would better reflect the luxury reputation that Taj is known for.

Had a wonderful stay, staffs are soo polite and helpful.
Facilities could use bit of modern touch.
There are complimentary tjings included in the stay, it would be better if the staff could explain them properly during checkout.
I almost missed out going to the sauna/ steam room.

The hotel is located in a coffee and pepper plantation. The environment is very quiet and beautiful. Some villa buildings have been built around the central lake. There are 3 restaurants in the hotel, 2 of which are open-air and ventilated on all sides, making it a bit cool at night. Dinner starts at 20:00. There are free guided tours of the plantation at 17:30 every day, and I learned a lot. Unfortunately, there are more mosquitoes after 16:00, and visiting the park at 17:30 gives mosquitoes a good meal. If you visit the park earlier in the morning or afternoon, you can avoid the mosquito problem. The room hardware is okay, but the design of the bathroom and toilet is very unreasonable. You have to go through the shower room to enter the toilet. After taking a shower, water leaked into the toilet floor and it was very slippery. If the shower room and toilet doors are separated side by side, it will be solved. question. Hygiene is okay, the pillow space cotton is relatively cheap and does not match the hotel price level.
