A light air of ****** covered up with incredibly strong smells of cleaning chemicals and oud or patchouli or smoke. The air control did not work in my room. The shower will flood your bathroom. The desk is too small to work at. The wait staff at the desk will gladly try to serve you if they care to understand, the help . staff avert your gaze when the wait staff are in view. Also the hot water is boiling and then lukewarm to cold within 10 minutes.

I stayed at Ewaa Express Hotel – Al Olaya during my visit to Riyadh, and overall it was an okay mid‑range experience. The hotel’s location on Al Olaya Street is excellent, with easy access to cafes, restaurants, and shops, making it a convenient base for exploring the city. Many guests find the rooms spacious and reasonably comfortable, and the staff generally friendly and helpful, especially at reception. Cleanliness is usually above average, and the hotel feels modern compared to typical budget options.  

However, there are some downsides worth noting. A number of travelers report noise from Olaya Street at night, so light sleepers might want an interior‑facing room. A few guests also mention issues with Wi‑Fi consistency and varying breakfast quality, with limited variety on some mornings. Some rooms can feel dated or a bit dimly lit, and occasional maintenance issues (like slow shower drains) have been mentioned in reviews.  

Bottom line: Good choice for a central, budget‑friendly stay with friendly service and clean rooms, but expect some noise and minor service inconsistencies.

Excellent hotel for the price. The staff were extremely respectful, especially the workers and receptionists. We arrived around 11 AM, yet they still gave us our room. I recommend it.

Convenient Location, Comfortable Stay with a Few Lighting Quirks
I stayed at EWAA Express Khurais in Riyadh and overall had a pleasant experience. The location is convenient—about a 15-minute walk to a shopping area with plenty of food options like Starbucks, KFC, Wendy’s, Al Baik, and a Panda hypermarket. 
The hotel is simple but functional. Rooms are clean and spacious, with a large, comfortable bed. Initially, I was assigned a room on the 4th floor, which felt quite dark due to having no outside view. The staff were kind enough to switch me to a room on the 2nd floor, which had a full-height window facing the highway. The difference: the 4th floor room was quieter but darker, while the 2nd floor room was brighter with a view, though some traffic noise was noticeable. I chose the 2nd floor in the end as I prefer natural light.
One unique point is the corridor lighting. The hotel doesn’t use ceiling lights in the hallways, relying instead on small wall-mounted lights. This makes the corridors feel quite dim. It seems to be a design choice across the EWAA hotel group, not just this location. If you're sensitive to low lighting or feel uneasy in darker spaces, this might be something to consider.
Breakfast was decent—not a feast, but enough to fill up. No egg station, but the basics are covered. Also worth noting: the hotel offers bicycles for guests to borrow, which is a nice touch, although I didn’t try it myself.
Overall, a good value stay if you’re looking for a clean, well-located hotel with friendly staff and don’t mind a few quirks in lighting and noise.

The taxi or online car-hailing response is extremely fast, and there is no need to worry about the time-consuming commute. Within 300 meters, there are 24-hour convenience stores, chain restaurants (such as Starbucks, local fast food brands), working late or early morning before the meeting, it is very convenient to quickly solve the needs of catering and temporary procurement, which greatly saves the cost of business time.

Rooms & Facilities: Practical oriented ”Business Space”

The rooms take a simple and practical route, there is no redundant decoration, but the core needs are full: the bed is moderately soft and hard, and the curtains with strong shading can quickly relieve the fatigue of long-distance travel; The room is equipped with high-speed free Wi-Fi, real-time upload, download large files and online meetings are not stuck, network stability far exceeds the same price hotel; the office area is spacious, with adjustable brightness desk lamp, temporary processing of working documents is very efficient. In addition, some room types are also equipped with small refrigerators, which store bottled water, snacks, etc. are very intimate, 24-hour hot water supply is stable, water pressure and water temperature are always in the best state, and the details show business adaptability.

Service and catering: efficient and worry-free ”business package”

The service is fully suitable for the fast-paced needs of business guests: the check-in/check-out process at the front desk is simplified, and the English communication is proficient. It usually takes no more than 3 minutes from registration to getting the room card. If there is an early flight or early meeting, after informing the front desk in advance, a ”fast packed breakfast” service (including sandwiches, fruit, coffee) can be provided to avoid delaying the trip. Although breakfast is a simple meal, it is rich in categories and nutritious, with bread, eggs, cereals, local specialty porridge, etc. The supply period is flexible and can adapt to different commuting rhythms. In addition, the hotel also provides free luggage storage, printing and copying (basic service of the business center), and there is no need to find an extra place when there is a temporary office demand, which is very worry-free.

Overall, this hotel does not pursue luxury, but it has achieved the ultimate adaptation in ”business travel just needs”. Whether it is convenient transportation, office support or service efficiency, it can effectively reduce the triviality of travel. It is suitable for focusing on cost-effectiveness. Business people with efficient office as their core needs.

This was my first time visiting Abha, and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel was excellent, with only a few minor issues, such as the soundproofing of the rooms, where all sounds were audible, and the room service not changing the towels during my stay. I highly recommend this hotel, and if I were to visit again, I would definitely choose the same hotel. I would also like to thank all the respectful and helpful staff.
