【Roam the Ancient City】2 Tickets for Suzhou Ancient City Shantang River Sightseeing Cruise or 2 Tickets for Suzhou Ancient City Water Lane Cruise (Choose one): There are several boarding points, you can choose whichever suits you.

Facilities: The hotel is located in a century-old building – Pan Yifen's Former Residence, which is also the Pan family's ancestral home. We stayed on the first floor, and the facilities inside were surprisingly modern, even the toilet was smart, truly a hidden gem!
Hygiene: Overall, it was quite good, but they forgot to give us toothbrushes; there was only an empty box 😂. However, the staff immediately brought them over.
Environment: Clean and tidy, with a slightly darker color scheme and lighting, which added a lot of character.
Service: The staff's service attitude was excellent! After adding them on WeChat, inquiries were basically answered instantly, and they were always ready to help. We even asked for toothpicks and dental floss 😂. Breakfast was delivered to the room, which solved the problem of not wanting to go out looking disheveled right after waking up ~ Thumbs up! Thumbs up! Thumbs up!

The hotel also provided a complimentary travel photoshoot with the company Jinghong Travel Photography. I didn't have high expectations, but the photos turned out absolutely stunning! The photographer wasn't one of those assembly-line, cookie-cutter guides; instead, they listened to the guests' ideas and were able to make good use of the surroundings. I didn't want to go to crowded scenic spots, and it was raining that day, so we just shot directly at the hotel, and the results were unexpectedly good! Three retouched photos were complimentary, but I was so pleased that I chose three more! 😁

The environment here is lovely, it's a courtyard-style hotel with the charm of a classical Suzhou garden. The service is also very attentive; any issues we raised were promptly resolved, which made us very happy. Right across the street is Shantang Street, and various traditional Suzhou eateries and shops are all around. It's also conveniently close to city attractions. They even provide complimentary boat tickets, and the Suzhou 'pingtan' (storytelling and ballad singing) was wonderful to listen to. We'll definitely be back!

Very friendly staff and very good location - walking distance to attractions. Breakfast looked small on the other people review, but it was more than enough + wonton soup and yoghurt.
And knowing that you are in one of the ancient buildings in Suzhou was super exciting. But it was little bit cold in the night. And curtains has a little gap so we couldn’t sleep a lot tho 😅
Overall very good. Definitely visit again when it’s warmer.

I had a wonderful stay at Gusu Yard Xuanzhou. The hotel has a peaceful, charming atmosphere that beautifully reflects the traditional character of Suzhou while still offering modern comfort and convenience.
One of the highlights of the stay was the unique cultural experience offered on-site. The hotel provides creative spaces where guests can make bracelets, which is a fun and relaxing activity to enjoy during downtime. They also offer Hanfu clothing for loan, allowing guests to try on traditional attire and take memorable photos, which really adds to the overall cultural experience.
The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help, making check-in and the entire stay smooth and comfortable. Their attentiveness helped create a warm and inviting environment throughout the visit.
The location is also convenient for exploring nearby attractions, while still feeling quiet and restful—perfect for relaxing after a day out in Suzhou.
Overall, a very enjoyable and memorable experience. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Suzhou who wants both comfort and an authentic cultural touch.

Absolutely fantastic! The room completely exceeded our expectations when we walked in. It was very clean, beautifully decorated, and the guesthouse itself had a wonderful ambiance. It's right in the heart of the Pingjiang Historic Block, yet the soundproofing is excellent, so it's not noisy at all. The little terrace was a real highlight! We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit!

The room was incredibly spacious and stylish, with a luxurious and very comfortable feel. The service was fantastic – they even reminded us and allowed us to check in early. Since we were traveling with friends, they also gave us essential oil soaps and complimentary breakfast, which we didn't end up eating, but the gesture was much appreciated. Overall, the service was excellent, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The facilities were comprehensive, with hot water coming on quickly, a great TV, bright lights, and convenient charging outlets and light switches.

Amazing staff and stay, we loved the area. It would be a bit hard to get to if you have a lot of large luggage. When we arrived, the room we initially picked was a bit small to hold all of our luggage (2 large check in and 2 carry on), the staff suggested that we change to a larger room and upgraded us because it wasn't a busy time for them. We were so pleasantly surprised that they were the ones to suggest this, so thoughtful! Very close to Pingjiang Road, tons of restaurants and lively streets, walking distance from the metro. Highly recommend this if you want to stay nearby these landmarks. NOTE: The breakfast option is a voucher to a nearby restaurant about 9 min walk away; it is not a breakfast buffet within the hotel itself. Just a heads up as we didn't notice this when we booked.

Very close to Shanghai, 50 minutes drive perfectly avoids the traffic jam army, the hotel is in an ecological park, the scenery is pleasant and the air is fresh 😉 The room decoration is very luxurious, the bathroom is dry and wet, and even the hair dryer is Dyson's 👍 The room we handled does not include breakfast. The hotel manager provided us with this service for free. Thank you very much 🙏 for the opportunity to bring friends to experience ❤ next time. For this stay, you must give a good hotel. It is very good. All aspects of service are meticulous and thoughtful. It is suitable for staying.
