Fantastic location next to Gora Station with easy access to Gotemba premium outlets via bus& Cablecar to Lake Ashi. Kaiseki breakfast and dinners were thoughtfully planned and different each meal. So many free snacks and food at different timings. Private outdoor onsen was wonderful as well. Note: you have to queue for any of the 3 huts. Only thing we didn’t like was having to shower outdoors and the dated toto bidet. Other than that, perfect 2 night stay at Hakone.

Excellent experience we received in this Osen Ryokan. It was probably the most memorable experience in our honeymoon trip.

We arrived there in a heavy rainy day. It was cold and we were extremely tired. Staff members were giving us big welcome and help. Most of them can speak Japanese and English so don’t worry on the language issue.

The room was spacious and comfortable. The open air bath in room was awesome. We really enjoyed the time with it.

The meals were great as expected. In between the meals they also served the refreshment which was remarkable.

Must try.

Is a very relaxing onsen hotel with a great companion of free parking, unlimited free flow of drinks and alcohol, free supper ramen and helpful front desk staff assist when check in.. the hotel is just located near to the train station and old town.. really highly recommended and worth it.

Service: The service was excellent. When checking in, they explained all the important details about the hot spring, the room, and the brunch.
Food: We had the half-board option (dinner and breakfast), and the food was delicious – highly recommended! There was also free ramen for a late-night snack, plus a self-service snack area with a beverage machine, beer, and small treats.
Environment: Clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
Overall, if I go to Hakone again, I'll definitely stay here!

One of my favorite hotels ever ♨️

This has to be one of the most comfortable hotels I've ever stayed in 🥹

During my stay, there were so many thoughtful complimentary services: popsicles, Yakult, coffee, matcha, and even free shoyu ramen for a late-night snack (though I found it a bit hard to appreciate – just salty, but you could take it back to your room 😂).

The public bath is truly massive and incredibly clean. The room even thoughtfully provides a small basket 🧺 specifically for hot springs, perfect for holding towels and personal items. Downstairs, you can pick up beautiful bathrobes to wear for photos after your dip, and there are also hotel casual clothes in the room. There are 4 private baths in total, and you rarely have to wait in the morning or late at night. They offer great privacy and an excellent experience.

The room has a wonderful classic Japanese feel, and for a hotel in Japan, it's remarkably spacious. It felt a bit luxurious for just one person 😂, the space is genuinely large. My favorite part is that the shower and toilet are separate, which is incredibly convenient for family trips.

Breakfast was also a real surprise, with an incredibly rich selection: sashimi, roasted pork, salmon, wagyu curry, and a wide variety of other dishes. I was so full after eating that it lasted until evening 🤣.

All the staff were also very polite and enthusiastic. This time, I'm especially grateful to the staff for helping me book the bus to Kansai Airport, which saved me a lot of hassle.

The price is indeed a bit high 😂, but overall, the experience felt truly worth it. Some hotels you might stay at and just move on, but this is the kind of place where, once you've stayed, you'll want to come back again.

I stayed alone this time, but next time I definitely want to bring my sister back to fully enjoy the hot springs, breakfast, and the leisurely pace here. ♨️🧺❤️

I will definitely be back.

This recently renovated onsen hotel is highly recommended! The rooms are well-equipped and comfortable, with a traditional Japanese style. The hotel features a public bathhouse and five private onsen, which is a great bonus. They also offer a complimentary drink bar in the afternoon, showing their dedication to excellent service. It's very close to both the subway and bus stations, making it an ideal choice for visiting Arashiyama, especially if you have a lot of luggage. I imagine it'll be quite difficult to book a room during autumn foliage season!

We chose Hirayu Onsen as a stopover, since we were visiting Shinhotaka one day and Kamikochi the next. Hirayukan is conveniently located just a three to five-minute walk from the Hirayu bus terminal. The room wasn't huge, but the hot spring baths were truly wonderful, with both indoor and outdoor options. The dinner and breakfast included in the stay were quite substantial. We also happened to catch a performance in the evening, which was a nice bonus.

Stay was worth every penny.

Hotel was located very close to train station and bus station so travelling to and out from it was convenient. Check in process was fast and easy to understand. They even had tea ready during checkin

Room was decently sized and very clean. I arrived during spring and the beds were so comfortable and warm

The highlight of the hotel has got to be the onsen. They have both private onsen that you can book for an hour and common onsen. If you go around midnight (the onsens are open till 1am), its completely empty and you can enjoy it all for yourself. Word of warning though, you can probably be seen if you're standing close to the edge of the public open air onsen so maybe dont do that (or do whatever floats your boat). After the onsen you can help yourself to free drinks and snacks

They had beautiful sakura blossoms during that time, and a public foot bath that can be enjoyed by all.

I loved my stay here and will definitely return if I have a chance.

A very big ryokan with many different baths, private and public. The western style room we chose was spacious and comfortable. The outdoor is great for pictures taking.
The dining room although not private gives option of dining with a window view or otherwise. My hubby left his wallet behind but the honest staff ran after him to return! A Big Thank You & kudos to honest staff 🙏❤️.
