The hotel is in a fantastic location, close to Uniqlo and Donki for shopping, with many restaurants nearby. It’s also conveniently located near the Tsukuba train line and Sensoji Temple. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and provided excellent service. The hotel also offers an ice machine and a complimentary drink dispenser

This area is less crowded, with a couple of malls nearby like Parco and Termina, so food and basic amenities are easily accessible. I really like that the room and bathroom are more spacious than usual. I could fully open my two large suitcases and still have space to move around. There’s also a humidifier in the room, which helps a lot with the dry air. We book a 2 single bed room and it fits perfectly for us and 1 kid. The 2 bed were combined with much space for all.

There are two Richmond hotels in Asakusa, and we stayed at Richmond Hotel Premier Asakusa International, so it’s important not to mix them up.

The hotel charges a local accommodation tax.
Guests are provided with welcome drinks as well as light snacks, which was a nice touch.
After shopping at the Uniqlo downstairs, it was very convenient to go back up and enjoy afternoon tea or a drink while taking in the view.

The location is excellent ,getting to Kaminarimon and the Asakusa area is very easy and walkable.

However, the room felt quite small.
Luggage space was limited, and it became inconvenient especially since there were three of us with three large suitcases.

Overall, this hotel is great for location, views, and lounge amenities, but those traveling in a group or with large luggage may find the room size a bit tight.

💁♀️The staff was very helpful and friendly.
What I like most is they turned breakfast area to be lounge where you can get free drinks and icecream - it was tasty!

🏠The room has a door inside to seperate from bathroom and bedroom, for me, I feel the room is bigger than average that you will get from others in the same range. 
Plus you can use washing machine and can check availibity on the TV in your room!

🚋The location is close to the subway station, you can take it to Tokyo station in 10mins.

I will absolutely come back if I have a chance to come to Tokyo again 🥰

hotel was one of the best value hotels in tokyo i have stayed at considering it was a weekend & there was also decomiku concert, front desk was very friendly & allowed to store our luggages till 9pm the next day! 


room : very spacious, cleaniness was acceptable but can be improved [9/10]

location : 3mins walk from JR mejiro station, very convenient! [10/10]

cost : very good considering the location & room size ($150 sgd for 2) [10/10]

Very convenient right next to the train station to HND or NRT and big shopping malls footstep from hotel. 
However, the hygiene is really not up to standard. Found a lot of hairs on bathroom wall on the first night. And also the bed linen was also dirty and dusty. 
The breakfast was even worse, with so little options and things were cold. If you have requirement on breakfast, I would suggest you not to buy the breakfast!

This hotel comes highly recommended! It's located right under the Tokyo Skytree and very close to the subway station, with a shopping mall directly across the street. It definitely exceeded my expectations. Both the service and the environment were excellent. The room was relatively spacious, and I could even open my 28-inch suitcase without a problem. Plus, I got to enjoy a beautiful sunset view!

My recent stay at the Richmond Hotel Tokyo Shiba was quite a shock, definitely not as good as previous Richmond stays. I encountered a lot of issues during my four nights there. First, regarding my request for 'no corner room' – I had communicated this in advance via Ctrip. However, each floor at this hotel is small with only a few rooms, so there's not really a distinction between corner or non-corner. But I was still assigned a corner room on the top floor, which was really inconvenient. If the elevators were busy, I had to wait quite a while 😂. Two elevators really aren't enough. 

Next, the cleanliness. On my first day, I didn't select the continuous stay option on the TV. The hotel's policy is to clean every three days. I changed it to have cleaning for the remaining three days. But, dramatically, the first cleaning was fine, while the second and third had issues. During the second cleaning, the hotel's cleaning staff left two of their rags in my room. I wrote a note, but received no response, giving me the impression they just thought 'oh well, it's in your room now' 😃. The third cleaning was very simplified, and some areas were clearly missed.

As for the front desk, their English proficiency was quite limited, and sometimes they couldn't understand what I was saying. However, the female staff generally maintained a smiling service, while some of the male staff were expressionless.

I originally chose this hotel because of its good location, close to the JR station, which was indeed convenient. It's also close to Shiba Shinmei Shopping Street, Shiba Park, and Tokyo Tower. But I'd say the service was mediocre 😂. The room was also quite small, and I felt there were too few power outlets.

Located conveniently across from Tokyo Dome City (LaQua mall) and right above a Don Quixote, which is open 24hrs, the convenience is amazing at the price point. It is also near a few train and subway lines within walking distance which makes it easy to get around. The rooms are clean and simple with ample space. Amenities are free to pick up from the 4th floor lobby so it’s not that troublesome. Did not get breakfast from the hotel which I understand to be at the Saizeriya on the 3rd floor of the building.

2️⃣The hotel is in a good location, close to the station, suitable for travel
3️⃣I didn't bring breakfast this time, so I solved it by myself at the nearby convenience stores

My stay at Richmond Hotel Hakata Ekimae during my trip to Japan was fantastic, and I highly recommend it to everyone.

The hotel's location is absolutely superb. It's just a few minutes' walk to the right from the Chikushi Exit of Hakata Station, which is incredibly convenient for travelers with luggage. The area offers excellent amenities; right next door is the large electronics store Yodobashi Camera, which also houses shops like Daiso, making shopping super easy. There are also several convenience stores, supermarkets, and drugstores nearby, so you can easily find anything from daily necessities to specialty items.

I was also very impressed by the hotel's service. The staff were extremely friendly, and communication in English was generally seamless. You can store your luggage for free before check-in, and once your room is ready, the staff will deliver it directly to your room. I even accidentally left an item behind, and the hotel kept it safe for me, demonstrating truly excellent service quality.

Although the room wasn't particularly large, it was very cozy, clean, and tidy. The bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bed was spacious. Even in my single room, there were two pillows, making for a very comfortable sleep. The room was well-equipped, featuring multi-plug charging cables, as well as coffee and sencha tea bags. The bathroom had a generous selection of toiletries; in addition to basic shampoo and shower gel, there were also bath salts, face masks, toners, and lotions available for guests to pick up.

The hotel's breakfast was also noteworthy, offering a variety of options including American and Asian flavors. The portions were ample, and the food tasted great.

In summary, I was extremely satisfied with Richmond Hotel Hakata Ekimae in terms of its location, service, and facilities. It offers excellent value for money, and I will definitely choose to stay here again on my next visit to Fukuoka.

This hotel is super conveniently located in the Tenjin shopping district. They provide a full range of toiletries, and the room was clean and tidy. The staff were all very warm and attentive. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Fukuoka. Highly recommend! 👍

This hotel is super convenient! It's really close to Iwataya, Daimaru, and Blue Bottle Coffee. There's also a FamilyMart right next door and a Kanetora izakaya in the alley behind it. Plus, there are several drugstores nearby, making shopping a breeze.

Well-located Hotel with friendly and accommodating staff. Don’t believe the other reviews, the smoking rooms smell like smoke a lot. Guess that’s my problem for booking late though. What I am really unhappy about is the washing machines. They are more expensive than going to a coin wash somewhere else. They require you to fill out a super long form (in Japanese) for every single machine. And they do not wash well. I expect more from hotel amenities.

Facilities: There are hot and cold water dispensers by every elevator, so you can easily refill your water bottle, which is also very environmentally friendly.

Environment: The front desk area offers complimentary tea bags and coffee for self-service. The lobby is quite spacious, and they provide free luggage storage after check-out.

Service: Self check-in and check-out is available with multi-language options on the machines. It seems many hotels in Japan are now offering this service. The hotel staff were also very helpful and answered all our questions.

Location: It's about a 6-7 minute walk from Yokohama Station. Compared to hotels within the Tokyo area, the rooms here are significantly larger. If you're planning trips to Kamakura, Fuji, or Atami, I think this Yokohama hotel makes for an excellent hub.

My only minor complaint would be the longer-than-average wait times for the elevators.
