I was a bit worried after reading some reviews before my stay, but it turned out to be fantastic! From the front desk service to the room size and cleanliness, everything was top-notch. The soundproofing in the room was also excellent, which is rare and very much appreciated in a city like Bangkok, where motorbikes are everywhere. I had a small mishap during my stay on March 14th: I accidentally left my phone in a taxi on the way back to the hotel and couldn't use the taxi app. I'm incredibly grateful to the male duty manager and the two young ladies at the front desk who helped me contact the Grab platform and locate the driver. Thanks to them, I actually got my lost phone back in a foreign country! The hotel's security is also very thorough; they even record the license plates and arrival times of every vehicle entering the property, which is incredibly detailed. I truly appreciate the well-trained and warm hospitality of the hotel's front-of-house staff. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in Bangkok; it truly felt like a home away from home.

I always book this hotel when I am visiting Bangkok, the room is big. There is a message shop in 2/F of the hotel and the price is resonnable.

We had a very pleasant stay at Somerset Sukhumvit 71 Bangkok. Check-in was easy and smooth with welcome infused water, and the on-site café was excellent, with delicious breakfast pastries. The beds were firm and clean, the room was comfortable, and housekeeping did a great job cleaning and making our beds daily. We also appreciated that both of our rooms were booked next to each other, which made travelling as a family much easier. Our fourteen-year-old’s bed was already made up upon arrival, which was a thoughtful touch.
John, the concierge, was outstanding. He managed to book a same-day bike tour for our family of six and also kindly arranged our airport transfer. His service truly stood out and made our stay even better.
Our only disappointment was New Year’s Eve. We had planned to ring in the new year at the rooftop venue, but it was fully booked. I had messaged the hotel in advance through the Trip app but didn’t receive a response. Instead, we followed a restaurant recommendation from the front desk, only to arrive 56 minutes before closing and be told the kitchen was already closed. Two other nearby restaurants were also closed, so we ended up grabbing snacks from the 7-Eleven across the street. The hotel kindly unlocked our balcony so we could at least watch the fireworks from our room.
The rooftop restaurant is beautiful, and the pool area is also very nice, although the water was quite cold, so we didn’t swim. The location is a bit far out, but overall, we enjoyed our stay so much that we extended it and booked a third night. A great hotel with excellent service, especially from the concierge, and we would happily stay again.

Got a free upgrade to a one-bedroom. My kids and I really enjoyed our stay and appreciated the warm hospitality from check-in through housekeeping, as well as the friendly staff at the pool, restaurant, shuttle service, and bell desk.

The hotel's location is excellent, not far from two MRT and BTS stations. The hotel also provides a shuttle service to the indicated locations on the map. Although the main road near the hotel can be congested for taxis, if you're mindful of travel times, it's generally not a big issue, and many drivers will take alternative routes. There's a 7-Eleven right opposite the hotel, and in the evenings, a banana pancake stall sets up outside, which looked clean and delicious. The hotel service was great, including the front desk, concierge, and housekeeping. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to try the hotel breakfast. The long desk in the room was very practical; you don't have to worry about running out of space for your belongings. The facilities were also good, though it would have been perfect if you didn't have to step over into the bathtub to shower. Overall, while the value for money isn't exceptional, it's a safe, comfortable, well-located hotel with great service.

The washer pressure & temp were so so good. 

Breakfast choices are rotated from day to day . So you never get bored. 

Everything you need is in the street . I like the 1st massage place . 

It’s way to get or order transport & the lovely door people will help 💜

Bed was abit hard for me but you can ask for a pillow topper .

The hotel's location is excellent, and it seems most guests, both local and international, are business travelers. There's still a lovely Spring Festival atmosphere, which is very welcoming. The front desk staff were great; they even upgraded us to a room with a city view. The breakfast spread was quite generous, featuring some delicious Guangzhou specialties! Both the chefs and the servers were very friendly too!

The one-bedroom apartment was very comfortable with a great view, offering a distant glimpse of the Canton Tower. The environment around Bio-Island is lovely, with birds singing and flowers blooming. It's a shame that all the convenience stores downstairs were closed during Chinese New Year, which made buying necessities a bit inconvenient. The breakfast was what you'd expect from an apartment hotel – perfectly decent. The staff were all very warm and attentive. It's super close to the metro station, making getting around a breeze. It was really considerate that they didn't double their prices during Chinese New Year. I'm actually thinking of coming back to stay for a few months in the winter!

Facilities:
The room was huge and spacious, fully equipped. I just didn't expect it not to have central air conditioning, but rather one of those old-fashioned jacuzzi tubs. It felt like something from the last century, so I didn't even use it.

Hygiene:
It was cleaned very thoroughly, you could tell they put a lot of effort into it.

Environment:
Even though it's in the city center, it felt very quiet. The environment was fantastic.

Service:
Very good. They gave us breakfast vouchers, which was a nice touch, even though we didn't end up using them.

The hotel room was a bit old, but the facilities were great, including a washing machine. The breakfast was also very generous. The location was excellent, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions. Right downstairs is the Huolian Prison Museum.

Remains one of my favorite hotels - great amount of space, in room washer dryer,  inclusion of water, excellent amenities, helpful staff - I really like this one, except that it can be a bit far from old quarter etc. but it’s really close to Korea town so can get good Korean food. 

One thing that would be great would be some way to line dry clothes.

The facilities are complete, and the rooms are spacious, clean, and comfortable. The staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and the doorman are all incredibly friendly. The pool is a bit cold for this weather. The breakfast restaurant is a little small, but the breakfast quality is quite good. You can borrow bicycles for free, and there are a few roads nearby with less traffic that are suitable for cycling. There are quite a few unfinished buildings around West Lake.

It was a bit difficult to get a taxi on the morning of Chinese New Year's Day, probably because everyone was visiting relatives ^_^

A small suggestion: it would be great if there were some instructions for the kitchen appliances. We spent a long time trying to figure out how to turn on the range hood, and a staff member eventually had to help us. It also took a while to figure out how to use the induction cooktop.

Overall, it's very good.
