I had an enjoyable stay at Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga. The hotel offers a relaxing atmosphere and is a wonderful place to experience the beauty of Lake Akan.
The service was excellent throughout my stay. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional, always greeting guests with a smile and making every interaction pleasant. Their hospitality really enhanced the overall experience.
The onsen facilities were one of the highlights of the hotel. They are spacious, beautifully designed, and have a luxurious feel, offering a great variety of indoor and outdoor baths. The only minor drawback was that the top-floor outdoor bath did not appear to be as clean as the other baths. Overall, the onsen experience was still great.
The room was a little on the compact side, but it was clean, comfortable, and well maintained.
Overall, I had a great stay and Akan Yuku no Sato Tsuruga is a great choice in Lake Akan.

The front counter staff were able to communicate well in English, so the check‑in process felt smooth and pressure‑free. Their explanations were clear and helpful.

The buffet dinner was delicious with a good variety of seafood and grilled items. Our room faced Lake Akan, giving us a beautiful lakeside view throughout the stay.

The cruise terminal was right in front of the hotel — just a short walk to board the boat to the Marimo exhibition.

At night, the Akan Garden walk was a meaningful experience, letting us learn more about the local Akan culture in a calm, nature-filled setting.

✨ Overall: A comfortable stay with great service, good food, and perfect access to Lake Akan activities.

The Japanese-style resort hotel boasts a lakeside ceiling and spacious rooms with private onsen (hot spring bath) and balconies. The rooftop open-air hot spring with views of Lake Akan is absolutely stunning. The dining is exquisite and delicious, using high-quality ingredients, reflecting the chef's dedication. Each room has its own private dining area with personalized service, making it very comfortable. The daily management is excellent; the environment is quiet, and the staff are attentive to individual needs and make special arrangements. In short, it's an excellent choice for a vacation. I was fortunate enough to stay at Tsuruga, near Lake Onuma, which is also a very beautiful hotel.

Great great ryokan. We booked a room with private onsen. The whole vibe of the hotel is so luxury and relaxing. Only stayed for a night but wished we stayed longer. Dinner was amazing. Breakfast is traditional japanese so might not be everyone's cup of tea. All in all a fantastic experience with great food, great vibes and super attentive staff. Highly recommend.

I booked this hotel because I couldn't see the 'Song of Light' during my visit, and it also conveniently tied into my travel itinerary, which was great.

Service: We received welcome drinks upon check-in, and the room had welcome fruits and champagne 🍾. All minibar items and room service orders were complimentary (though we didn't use them, the gesture was much appreciated).

Cleanliness: I walked barefoot throughout the hotel, and it was spotless. However, there were some small insects in the room, which is understandable given the semi-open-air hot spring.

Facilities: Everything was new and perfect. The restaurant had private rooms, and both dinner and breakfast were excellent – a prime example of Japanese dining. It was one of the best 2-day, 1-night stays I've had in terms of food.

It was a perfect experience; the hotel itself is picturesque everywhere you look. I loved it 💕.
I also felt the overall experience here was much more refined than Lake Toya, and I preferred the scenery here.

The hotel environment was beautiful. Since I don't eat raw fish, the hotel provided cooked food for me. 👍👍 The hot spring in the room was also very comfortable, and the staff service was excellent.

I stayed at Mori no Uta for my birthday. I contacted the hotel in advance, and they had a birthday card ready for me. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from Makomanai Station, which needs to be booked beforehand. On the day I checked out, I booked the 9:30 AM shuttle, arrived at the station at 10:00 AM, and smoothly caught the 10:10 AM airport bus to New Chitose Airport. It was all seamless.

The Japanese-Western style room was 40 square meters and quite spacious. It had a huge massage chair and a coffee machine. What impressed me most was dinner, where they offered freshly made pizza or naan that you could customize with toppings and have delivered to your table once baked. The naan crust was soft and fragrant with a wheaty aroma. I specifically asked for extra large shrimp and a generous amount of cheese – it was impossible not to love it! The dinner seating faced a beautifully illuminated snow scene outside, which was absolutely stunning.

The hotel lobby boasts a magnificent, floor-to-ceiling fireplace, which is perfect for photos. In the evening, there was a small harp concert, creating a very pleasant atmosphere.

Both breakfast and dinner featured incredibly creamy ice cream. I had two big bowls at each meal and thoroughly enjoyed it!
