It’s not bad for the price. Pictures look a whole lot better than the actual condition of the rooms. The hotel emphasized that they have a heated indoor pool, but only 1 out of 5 in our family dared to get in. It’s cold!

On the surface, the room looked clean. There was dirt around the furniture, walls, and bed. Leftover dirty cups on the bottom shelf of the nightstand. We did a quick clean ourselves, considering the price of the room, it didn’t surprise me. I would chalk the uncleanness of the room up to an individual rather than reflection on management.
The front desk staff were nice, the pool was great for the kids, and the continental breakfast was good.

Unfortunately we didn’t have a pleasant experience this time. When we got there we had to wait for them to get back to the office to check us in.. which was ok.. it only took them about 5 mins to get there.. but then when we got to our room the bathroom hadn’t been cleaned.. had it not been for the fact that my kids were sleepy and it was 8 o’clock I would have demanded to be moved.. instead I just cleaned the mess.. there was poop on the toilet… hair and used soap bars in the bathroom and used shampoo bags on the floor and the air conditioner/heater would not stay on. It really was an unpleasant time. Very sad because we’ve always liked this motel… however we won’t be back.

When we arrived we were told we'd be staying next door at a different property. When i questioned them i was told ******* doesn't clarify there are two properties, even though all the pictures are actually only one property. They explained Southern Oaks is premium room's and the "next door" property isn't. Because we wanted in ondoor pool we had picked Southern Oaks just for that reason they agreed to upgrade our room for free. The upgraded room is filthy and smells horrible. Towels and sheets stained,toothpaste in the sink,alarm clock is broken. The "heated " indoor pool was cold and unusable.

I didn't like the of the bath tub while showering the tub filled up with water and left rings around the tub. I have respect for the Check in call and keys being left in overnight box for late arrivals.

Ist red flag is they couldnt find reservation, had to bring it all up on phone and show them. Room very old, bed was SUPER uncomfortable, springs poking everywhere. The toilet ran every 15 min all night but the kicker is we had a person try and get into our room with a key twice! Went to front desk and they said yeah sorry about that it was the cleaning lady, we have that your room wasnt reserved and needed to be cleaned....uh noone is gonna be cleaning a room and running a vacuum at almost 10 pm! Would never recommend to stay here.

The first room we couldn’t get in due to bad card keys or door lock issues. The second room was just fine. Large room with king bed. The stair cases just haven’t been cleaned in quite some time and the 2 exterior doors don’t fully seal. The front desk also gave us the wrong 4 digit code to come into the side door. They told us to use. It was a little chaotic checking in but we got through it.

The hotel was ok, but kinda rundown. It was very clean, the rooms are big and roomy, but it is in serious need of an update. The pool was nice, but crowded. It is located down on the old ***** and is an old hotel. the pictures look better than the real thing, and the veranda was an excellent addition.
