I absolutely love this hotel. I'd definitely stay there again. The room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The onsen was excellent. A few days here in the winter would be a real treat.

The hotel is one kilometer away from the bus terminal, but there are small stops near the hotel to various ski resorts, which is very convenient. I booked a total of 5 nights, including meals. The 5 breakfasts are basically Japanese, very hearty and satisfying! It is a traditional Japanese-style bed and breakfast. The room is on tatami mats and you make your own bed. In some years, the furniture is not new, and you can hear it in the walking room in the corridor, but it is very clean! The quality of the guests is also very good, there is no loud noise, which is much better than the Europeans and Americans who later lived in the hotel! The boss is an old Japanese couple. They don’t talk much and may not always smile like other Japanese people, but in fact they love to help. After dinner every morning, they ask you where you plan to go today, and then pull you there. His map wall helps you plan your itinerary, and the hotel also has a lot of coupons or low-cost ski tickets for ski resort cooperation. Save a lot of expenses. After checking out, you need to change to another hotel. After the boss asks the address, he will send it to the next one, but there are still not many words 😁, thank you for your rigorous and lovely Japanese grandpa Very cost-effective, recommended!

Very friendly staff. I was there off season, so there where no more shuttle busses available. Since the hotel is directly near the slopes, there are no direct shops near by. And you have to either walk 20 minutes to the nearest Lawson or take a taxi. I liked the japan-western style room. The owner was so kind to take me to the Hakuba Goryu Snow Resort which is only a short drive around the corner. There is also a Ski Resort just next to the hotel but it was already closed for the season.

From Matsumoto to Baima, take the IC card taken when entering the station on the JR Otaru Line. When you arrive at Baima, you cannot use the IC card. You can't speak English and Japanese. Fortunately, the boss of the Baima Canadian mountain forest cabin will pick you up and use translation software to help communicate with the JR station staff (originally paid cash first, Then reset my card). The hotel's hot springs are to the ”Baima Temple の Wood ホテル” bubble (provide coupons 1000/person) 250 meters away, the source of the discharge of Zhuang Bingwei の soup, spring quality , very smooth after the bubble. Baima の Wood ホテル and Baima Canadian Mountain Lodge are the same boss. Where is the restaurant that provides (buffet) breakfast and dinner, it is very rich. Breakfast is about 2,000 /person (can be discounted 200/person); The price of dinner is 5,000/person (can be discounted 500/person). During this 5-night stay, I got a lot of help from the boss. It was a very unforgettable experience. I fell in love with the beautiful Baima Village in the sunny day of waiting for the Bafangweigen Bafang Pool! Wonderful Stay at Garden Pension Obogurgl We had an excellent experience at Garden Pension Obogurgl. The location is perfect—just a short walk to the Hakuba Goryu lifts, which made getting on the mountain super easy every day. The pension itself is cozy, clean, and peaceful, with a lovely garden that adds to the charm. Our room was warm and comfortable, with plenty of space for ski gear, and the communal areas had a relaxed, homely vibe. The hosts were friendly and welcoming, always happy to help with local tips and transport advice. We especially enjoyed being able to walk everywhere—whether it was to the nearby convenience stores, local restaurants, or just strolling among the beautiful pine trees. The large cherry blossom tree out the front added a special touch to the peaceful surroundings. If you're after a quiet, scenic, and welcoming place to stay in Hakuba Goryu, Garden Pension Obogurgl is a fantastic choice.

The location is very good, a few tens of meters away is a free bus stop, you can go to various ski resorts, the boss is very enthusiastic, can provide the village station shuttle and a lot of help you need, we stayed for three nights, arranged a two-story suite, The toilet kitchen living room is independent, the tatami is upstairs, very warm and warm, next time you choose to go here

Had a really good stay at Oak Forest. Stay accommodated for English speaking guests and assist with luggage hold on day of check in and out. Breakfast provided was really good. Onsen was a welcome part of the stay after a day of ski. Location is a bit inconvenient as it requires a decent walk or taxi to main bus terminal and other resorts. But there is accessible restaurants in walking decent to Echoland. The bus for pickup to resorts is directly in front of the hotel or short walk to Echoland spicy for the hakuba valley bus. Overall recommend but would be amazing if hotel could assist in initial pickup and dropoff transfers to bus terminal for guests with luggage.

Just finished with the kindergarten lottery, so I took some time off to bring my two kids to Hakuba for an off-peak relaxation trip, and this hotel was a great experience! 1. **Excellent Service**: They have staff who speak Chinese, so communication was seamless. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and proactively recommended many local activities suitable for kids. Even though it's not the peak ski season, bringing the kids here for outdoor activities in Hakuba during this time was so comfortable and enjoyable. 2. **Comfortable Stay**: The room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were well-maintained. It was very comfortable for us and the kids. The room has its own private toilet. The showers are on the first floor, which I knew beforehand from my research, and it was perfectly fine for both me and the kids! 3. **Lovely Atmosphere**: The overall feeling was like staying at a relative's house in Japan – warm and cozy, without the impersonal feel of a typical hotel. The kids felt very relaxed playing here. 4. **Incredible Value for Money**: To have such a great experience at this price is truly fantastic value!

I stayed here alone and really enjoyed my trip. The whole hotel had a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere, allowing me to relax and unwind surrounded by Hakuba's nature. My room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. The hot spring bath was fantastic, perfect for soothing my tired body after a day of sightseeing. The staff were consistently polite and attentive, which made my stay even more pleasant. Breakfast offered a great variety, including local ingredients, leaving me feeling satisfied every morning. The hotel's quiet surroundings were lovely for walks, and its location, immersed in Hakuba's natural beauty, was a real highlight. It's also a convenient base for exploring. I would definitely want to stay here again if I visit Hakuba in the future.

Come to Hakuba Village Iwadake to see the autumn leaves. The air is fresh and there is a sense of open space. The place to stay is very warm and the landlord’s meticulous reception allows us to rest and regain our strength. Next time we will come to experience the good snow scene.
