"Overall the hotel was generally clean and in a great location, with a lovely view of the canal from the room. The shower was powerful and the room itself was comfortable, but some design choices were impractical — the bedside table made of stacked books looked quirky but offered no usable space. The in‑room drinks setup really let things down. There was only a coffee machine, and the hot water wasn’t hot enough for tea. The only tea options were green tea and Earl Grey, which felt limited. A kettle would have been far more practical. Milk and cups weren’t restocked when the room was cleaned, which added to the frustration. Check‑in felt unwelcoming, which was a shame given how good the location is. With a few improvements to service and basic amenities, the stay could be much better."
