Hotel Brienz

Although the hotel is not new, the facilities are well maintained. The kids loved the room with the bunk beds. The breakfast was good and the bread was delicious. If there is a downside, the bathing place is too small, and the shower curtain is a bit old.

There were 16 of us for 2 nights. Everyone loved the hotel and we felt very comfortable. The dinners in particular were excellent. We also really appreciated the fact that the 4 children were given special attention. It is worth mentioning that the food was prepared for 4 people with special allergies and that alternatives were served as a matter of course, and these were also excellent. A huge "thank you" for the commi**ent, the cooking skills and also for the great service. We will definitely stay at this hotel again and can only recommend it.

Very good location as a starting point for the entire Bernese mountains (Interlaken, Lauterbrunnen Valley, Jungfrau region, Meiringen, Lucerne, Bern, etc...). Along a fairly busy road. The rooms are simple but very clean and have a safe, good beds and plenty of storage space. Beautiful view of the lake or the mountains. Very friendly owners and staff! Varied breakfast with fresh products. The evening meal (also half board) is particularly delicious and offers a choice of different starters, entrees, main courses and desserts every evening! Only recommendation for the owners: the bathrooms definitely need to be modernized.

We stayed at the Hotel Brienz for two nights (a married couple, 50, Swiss) and found it to be very pleasant and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. The food in the hotel's restaurant was delicious and the service was friendly, efficient and competent.

At noon there was the choice between pork or fish with a salad. We took the fish: a large piece of breaded fish with a mixed salad 24.- nothing extraordinary, simple but good. I was disappointed not to have more choices. But the welcome was friendly, the service in traditional dress, the waitress warm. A single address.

Very clean room but very small. 70s bathroom with shower curtain. The only place to put your toiletries is a small shelf measuring 70cm by 10cm deep. This room (with lake view) was billed at 200.- per night (with breakfast), without any reduction for staying two nights. In addition, the hotel is not in the center of Brienz.

Simple and friendly hotel with attentive staff. Exceptional half-board catering. Varied menu with 2 proposals to choose from. Combines taste and artistic research for our greatest pleasure. Thank you for the care taken in proposing dishes adapted to my allergies and intolerance. Cheer!

Once again, it was a wonderful stay with friends in this wonderful place. The welcome was quick and friendly, the quiet room with a mountain view was clean and well-kept and equipped with a modern bathroom, the breakfast was good and the evening meal was tasty. You can go for a wonderful walk along the beautiful, quiet lake promenade, for example to the magnificent Brunngasse. The owners can't do anything about the constant traffic noise from the street. Brienz is overwhelmed by traffic from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The canton, municipality and tourist board urgently need to find a solution to this. On our first visit eight years ago, we arrived by boat, took the cog railway up to the Rothorn and then continued on by train. From the Hotel Steinbock, everything is less than a kilometer away.
