I stayed 2 nights with my husband, and the cleanliness of the room was poor. We found the bed unmade and the pillows on the floor. The Internet was only available on the ground floor. We paid almost 300 pounds and we expected a larger room, as it was in the photo on the hotel's website, but in person it was completely different, much smaller.. Poor breakfast.. I don't recommend it and I won't go there again

We stayed in room 10 and it was very spacious with a lovely modern bathroom with a bath. The hotel was clean and had plenty of refreshments and soap, shower gel and shampoo. Our room had a big window with blackout curtains and our hotel was opposite the i330. It was a short walk to the pier and a restaurant just next door so it's a great hotel and location if you want to be near to all attractions , something to eat (their is a vegan fish and chips shop down the road which could be handy for anyone )and the sea. The breakfast was great in the morning that had full breakfast, toast, cereal, juice, tea and coffee and some fresh fruit like pineapple. I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to stay a few nights in Brighton.

I was worried after reading some of the reviews but we had a good stay here. We had room 15- which was a great size and had a good sea view. Yes, it was a little dated, but had what you needed for a short stay and was clean. Breakfast was good, all staff were friendly. Down stairs has been updated since these photos and looks lovely. We found this a good location with the beach, pubs and restaurants all near by. If you are a light sleeper probably not the best choice for you, as old windows and no double glazing, so noisy. Traffic noise and the sea- but we like to hear the sea. We would stay again.

We were due to stay for two nights but sadly had to return home early, this was nothing to do with our stay. It was very good value for money, yes the rooms are a bit tired and the carpet could you with replacing (the one on the stairs up to your room) the location was great very central to everything. The breakfast was nice and plenty of it. The staff were very nice chatty and happy to answer any questions. I am not sure after reading other reviews why everyone had a problem about the keys it was no problem handing it over and there was always someone on the desk to give it back.

Absolute bargain! Spacious room, comfortable bed and superb breakfast. Yes some areas could do with a lick of paint and some of the fixtures need replacing but clean and cosy! Did not expect a cooked breakfast as well as cereal, fruit etc, and it was delicious. Very friendly ladies on reception and in the restaurant. A real bargain stay!

My score is based on value for money. It may not be the poshest hotel in Brighton but provided us with everything we needed at a really competitive price with the addition of a good breakfast. The room was comfortable, clean and staff helpful. Criticism would be WiFi not special and a large king size bed needs king-size quilt not double, hubby and I did fight over it during the night. Nevertheless, superb location and therefore good quality for money

Lovely situated hotel . Staff very helpful and accommodating as I had booked the 9th by mistake rather then the 8th that I needed. It was no problem and everything was sorted without any fuss. The reception and dining area is lovely and clean and very welcoming . We had a family room that overlooked the sea which was lovely and big and very comfortable. The only downside was the misted glass bathroom door which sent my 14 year old daughter into meltdown . We had to hang a towel over the door as she was refusing to use it otherwise. The stairways and carpets are in need of replacing and maybe a lock of paint in the corridors but this had no affect on our enjoyment of the place . Staff are absolutely brilliant very friendly and that's what makes it such a lovely hotel to stay . I highly recommend!!

The hotel is quite tired. Definitely needs updating. However, the beds were comfortable. Shower was good. The breakfast was very good and the staff friendly. I would stay here again as it's central and right by the beach.

When i arrived I was asked to sign a document which stated the valuables should not be left in the room and brought to reception. They also state that if you go out, you leave the key with them, it all felt very unsettling for me and 9 year old daughter. When we walked up the stairs, due to the lift being very old and frightening, and not working correctly, the cleanliness of this hotel was attrocious. All of the carpets were dirty and coming away from the floor, the windows were smashed, it was awful!! When i got into the room, it was a tiny bedroom, not the one of the picture they used at booking and they had stapled the bed sheet to the bed to keep it on the base! Staples!! the place smelt, it was incredibly dirty!! Rusty bin in the bathroom, plug sockets of, you name it there was something wrong with it! The whole place felt very unsafe! We had a booking at the i360 in Brighton so had to go back out, when we went to leave, the door would not lock!! As i was spinning the key, the door was not responding. When i went down to speak with the receptionist he was incredibly rude and patronising towards me, telling me that i did not know how to use a door and that it needed locking from the inside. I explained that i was not happy with this as we would have to leave the door unlocked and that I felt there was a security problem with the hotel. he was very argumentative and did nothing to reassure me about the security of the hotel or the room because lets face it a door that doesnt lock! there is an issue there. I took the keys back to the reception after the i360 and we had to stay at a different hotel in Brighton, we stayed at the travelodge which was obviously an additional cost which i could have done without! AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!
