Shivapuri Heights Cottage

This place was a magical relax from downtown Kathmandu. Up in the hills in a tiered garden full of butterflies and birds. Nice jacuzzi with the great view. Truly friendly staff and the owners 2 big beautiful calm dogs. We were relieved to be there! Thank you so much! The Nepalese massage spa was so good we did it the next day too!

I‘ve spent two nights in this amazing place. It’s a very peaceful spot, surrounded by nature. The room i stayed in was very clean and cozy, the bed is comfortable, the view is excellent, the food tasty, staff helpful and kind, the host very caring. The terrace is welcoming and it‘s easy to get in touch with other guests but also to spend time alone. . I can’t say more than THANK YOU for having me. The jacuzzi was the highlight. ✨:) Don’t miss out and book your stay!! 🙏🏻

My friend and i ended our nepal trip with staying a couple night at Shivapuri Heights Cottage - and it was the best decision ever!!! the staff were so lovely and we always felt welcome. we arrived late at night due to a traffic jam and we were met by lovely staff who were still extremely helpful and nice. the location is absolutely stunning and the jacuzzi is a must-visit. i would totally recommend coming if you’re looking for a nice relaxing time❤️❤️

From the moment we arrived we knew this was a special place. The cottages are surrounded by gardens, and there are lots of thoughtful touches throughout the property. The lounge was warm and cozy, the perfect place to curl up with a book. The home-cooked meals were exceptional, as was the service from the friendly team of staff. There are incredible views over the city, and it was nice to look over Kathmandu rather than being in it! The jacuzzi was a real treat, as was the lovely massage. Looking forward to coming here again!

Simply sublime. My wife and I were fortunate enough to spend four nights of our honeymoon at Shivapuri Heights Cottages. I'm unsure as to how to express my gratitude for their staff and service. I suppose this gesture encapsulates our experience. The management and staff kept the lights on and ears to the phone as our flight was delayed 8 hours. They warmly welcomed us in the early morning and kindly gave us an upgrade for our entire stay to ensure we were warm and comfortable. (The food and staff were already 10/10) This establishment easily makes my top 3 accommodations of all times. I could not recommend this place and it's people more highly.

Staying at Shivapuri Heights Cottage in Kathmandu was pretty cool. It’s tucked away near Shivapuri National Park, so it's super peaceful but still not too far from the city. The staff are super friendly and make you feel at home right from the start. The rooms are nice and cozy, with some local decor that gives them a more personal touch. The view is definitely the best part. Waking up to see the Kathmandu Valley and the mountains in the distance is something else. They've got this nice garden where you can chill with your morning coffee or just take a walk and relax. The food there was great, too. It’s a mix of local dishes and some international stuff, all made with fresh ingredients. Eating there feels like having a meal with family, but with an awesome view. If you’re into hiking or just want to explore the area, the cottage is in a great spot. The staff can point you in the right direction for some cool walks in the national park. Overall, Shivapuri Heights Cottage is a great place if you’re looking for a laid-back spot with nice views and good vibes. It’s like staying at a friend’s place who happens to have an amazing house in the mountains.

Check in 30Jan2024 Checkout 03Feb2024 Stayed here as a part of a marriage function and was awestuck by the rusticness of this place and its nature beauty. The place is nestled at a hillside with steep roads which are skillfully navigated by the local drvers and the taxi charges from Kathmandu Airport can be as low as NPR 850-1200/- (app based PATHAO) to NPR 3000-3500/- if booking at the property. Very high side of this property is that it is pet-friendly The staff under the supervision of Neeru and her family who own the place will make you feel at home with their warm smile and conduct which sets high benchmark in hospitality. Cottages are very well appointed, however family with infants and senior cititzen must watch out for multiple stair climbs in rustic setting for accessing the restaurant, however there are provision of kitchen in the cottages as well. Beauty of the place is to do treks to monastry, jungle trail, ISKON, local market visits, Budha Nilkanth and many such activities... Evenings in open with bonfire is majestic with family and friends.... Music and bar providing apt ambience. Another high is the food... the endless thakkalis that we had were so tasty and mades completely from the organic produce of tke kitchen garden. The soups , and different cuisines can also be tried out at this place. The sunrise and sunset moments cannot be missed as this place provides breathtaking views. Family, Friends, Couples... I've been to Shivapuri Heights Cottage twice, and they always make you feel at home and treat you like family! Ramita is an absolutely gem and will go over and above to make sure you feel welcome and have a wonderful time! We most recently came for a girls weekend away and bachelorette celebration, and they helped us to arrange a henna artist and prepared delicious snacks! We also came previously over Christmas last year, and they prepared fire pits and anything else we requested. The jacuzzi with a view over Kathmandu valley is a highlight, so be sure to pack your swimsuit! Looking forward to seeing you all again soon

This is simply the most amazingly wonderful place ever! A little heaven. My daughter asked if I could leave her here 😂 I ended up taking her with me, but she would have loved to stay for as long as possible. We will absolutely be back!! 🫶 Ramita your the best!!
