Clean and comfortable. Friendly and relaxed pub. Great for meeting friends and staying over. Food was really good. Freshly made and good quality. Helpful and friendly staff. Comfortable rooms, beds. Tea/coffee facilities with fresh milk offered - a definite bonus! Decent shower. Good value for money.

Went in for a swift drink and after perusing the menu decided to eat too. The food was absolutely amazing. We had a selection of starters instead of mains and we weren’t disappointed as it meant we got to try six different dishes. Home made bread to start was a great touch. All in all the best dining out experience we’ve had in a long time.

Booked a quick lunch as going on an afternoon course at West Stow Park. The pub has been beautifully renovated and the starched linen napkins indicate the attention to detail. The menu is fantastic, wonderful to get such a great selection of imaginative dishes well priced. I thoroughly enjoyed my wild boar ragu with homemade linguine, the prawn curry with & fish gyozas were also delicious. We found the size helpings generous for starters and at a cost of only £9. Wonderful to have good ingredients, cooked & presented well. The service was excellent, the staff were aware we only had a short time for lunch and were attentive , efficient but friendly. The whole experience was of a marvellous lunch. Still talking about it and planning a date to enjoy a more leisurely meal. We are just sorry that we do not have such a pub in our village.

Stayed at the Three Kings many years ago when on union courses, as,we were passing through Bury thought we'd pay a visit. Well the place has been improved but still retains the a**osphere of old. Ordered the curry, wow!! It was amazing my partner had the salmon brioche bun with French fries. Back to the curry, I recently had a chest op and finding stuff to eat has been hard but this curry really hit the spot, not a morsel left. If you're in or near Bury St Edmunds go to the Kings you're in for a treat.

We’ve been here a few times and we always ask ourselves “why is it so quiet?” It’s a little hidden gem! The food is always outstanding. The service is impeccable. The a**osphere is lovely. Staff are very well trained. Love it.

Very pleased with the large room and en-suite facilities. Had a great nights sleep, very quiet despite it being adjacent to a main road. The breakfast in the morning was superb! All in all it was faultless experience. We arrived late and did not experience the evening meal but I’m sure it would be excellent based on everything else.

We had amazing stay over a weekend of a friend wedding almost next door. the room was excellent, clean, comfortable bed, good shower with all that we needed. Food in the pub was excellent with a fantastic menu to choose from. We stayed for the Sunday lunch which was one of the finest we have tasted. Look forward to our next visit.

I made a reservation at this hotel to celebrate my friend's birthday. Initially, the room seemed decent upon arrival. However, upon closer inspection, it became evident that the room was quite dirty. The floors hadn't been vacuumed, and there were noticeable debris and dust scattered across the floor and skirting boards. To make matters worse, there were even toenail clippings next to the bed. The bottom of the wardrobe appeared to be covered in some sort of black mud. The state of the bathroom was disappointing as well. It seemed as though the cleaner had only changed the bedding and made the bed without cleaning the rest of the space. After contacting reception, a staff member came up to inspect the room. He acknowledged the room's uncleanliness and offered us an alternative room. He mentioned that he had quickly inspected this room, which was quite worrying considering he wasn't a cleaner. It was disappointing to realise that they were willing to offer us a different room without ensuring proper cleanliness standards. The second room had a musty odor, leaving us feeling uncomfortable about staying there. Given the circumstances, we opted to check out of the hotel and requested a refund for our stay. The staff advised us that they had processed a refund, but we never received any confirmation or documentation such as a receipt. As of now, I am still awaiting the refund to reflect in my account. Writing negative reviews is not something I typically do, but cleanliness is a crucial factor for me, and I feel compelled to share this experience. It's unfortunate that our much-anticipated birthday weekend was dampened by this disappointing stay. I sincerely hope that others won't have to go through the same ordeal.

We went for a birthday treat, let’s just say perfect in every aspect. The staff were attentive and the food was just amazing. Great choice of drinks and wines. Hand made chocolate to finish! Just perfect, we will be back in a couple of weeks for sure. A great find, the chefs food is one of the best that I have tasted in a long time!!
