Zafiro Can Picafort

We have just returned from a lovely two week family holiday. The staff are so friendly and will help in any way they can. They entertained our two young boys at various points. The variety of food was good. It’s a buffet restaurant however you do get one night inclusive of your stay in the a la carts restaurant. It was very clean and we were offered regular cleans. The only issue is the low temperature of the pools - particularly if you have very little ones. We had brought wetsuits for ours which helped but early in the season it would help if the water was heated a little to take the chill out of it (unlikely I know). Overall we had a lovely family trip

Great hotel, great location, fabulous family resort. Pools are exceptionally clean, and splash zone was great for our little ones.

This is our second visit to Zafiro can Picafort. We came in May 2023 and now May 2024. This time my wife and two kids came with both sets of grandparents. My parents booked the wrong Zafiro hotel, however reception staff were excellent and got the reservation moved before they arrived. Could not thank the staff anymore for this. We stayed 8 nights and were not disappointed. Breakfast is the same everyday but has a good choice. Lunch we tend to use the pool bar rather than buffet. Dinner it is a different theme every night… so 8 nights is ideal other wise it becomes repetitive. Rooms look a little dated, however not spending much time in them. For children 10 and under it is ideal. Pirate play pool for infants. Then you have big splash ball pool for older kids. Plenty of slides to. In addition a play park area for young children and a bouncy castle. Staff, yet again MANUEL THE WAITER in the buffet restaurant is perfect. He is always great with our children and made me and my family feel very welcome. This time round we used the kids club and PEPE the kids entertainer was quality, he had so much energy and was always great with the kids. We are already booked for our 3rd visit in September 2024. However no grandparents, just me and my wife and kids. Looking forward to coming back.

Arrived at the hotel at midnight. Refused to stay in the damp, smelly, dirty old rooms we were offered so only other place to sleep was the lobby with other guests walking past us. I can’t stress enough how much the hotel rooms stink of damp and foist, it made us feel sick. We weren’t even offered a drink or something to eat for our 5 year old. Hotel is supposed to be 4*+ but is 1-2* at best. We are currently waiting for a Jet2 rep to call us back so we can be transferred to a different hotel as we can’t stay here. Hotel looks like it was last refurbished back in the 80’s.

We stayed half board for 10 nights with 4 yo and 1 yo. This was our second stay at a Zafiro following a holiday last year in Menorca. On that basis we knew the set up that we had signed up for and were pleasantly surprised that the Can Picafort Hotel was a notch above last year. The hotel is approx 50 min drive from PMI. Great location to explore the local area. We enjoyed trips to Soller, Polenca, Alcudia, Porto Cristo, Cala Vincente, Cala Muro, Cala Mesquida and many more. Also visited a local winery too only 10 mins away. 5 min walk through the park to Aldi and 10 mins to the local beach. Our room was nicely positioned on the top floor and away from the entertainment so was nice and quiet on evenings. Lovely views of the pool for evenings on the balcony. Kids splash pool was enjoyed by both our children. All pools were very cold in May. We took wetsuits to take the edge off but it’s a shame they can’t be heated further. There is a free bouncy castle and golf available on site too which we enjoyed. The buffet is a good quality, fresh food with plenty of healthy options and lots of vegetables. As with any buffet, with all best efforts by Day 10 you know the drill and it all feels a bit samey. A great effort was made to provide variety with themes Mexican and Asian nights. For both breakfast and dinner the general grill management (same employee) was poor. Often instances of nothing available or even cooking. He seemed to struggle and perhaps needed more support. The room was spacious with bath and shower which is great for the littles. As with Menorca I think paying additional charges for a baby cot is unreasonable at a 4* resort and is a shame this continues. The air conditioning only really started working on day 5, prior to that it was on low and making little impact. We asked that maintenance dealt with a squeaky door which was addressed straight away. The living room for our kids was lit up with lights from TV and other electricals. We had to cover them to limit sleep disturbance. The curtains could also be much better to give full black out. We brought our own luckily. Overall good stay, we would return and recommend. Great memories made both inside and outside the resort.

Clean rooms, fantastic kids entertainment club (and warning your kids will fall in love with Yzzy), service with a smile, dome pool and kids pool are non stop fun for kids. If you have young children 0-10 this hotel is perfect, my three were 11 months , 3 and 6 years old!

We had a lovely vacation. Only thing we didn’t like are the people who leave there towels on the bed at the kids swimmingpool and leave for the rest of the day. The lifeguard has to take does towels away for people with kids that are at the swimming pool and cant sit. Food was great, staff was really friendly and nice! We will defintly come back! Room was nice and big. The bed was really good. To the beach is a small walk. I think i forget to say many more, but we had a really good time. Thank you

Old hotel but very nice for family with kids, It's kids proof, a lot of play space. Swim up room with small children is a big plus. Food at the buffet very nice a lot of choice an every day something new.

The hotel is fab for kids, lots of pools, splash pool, playground etc. My kids loved the bubble pool, such a fun idea and they loved the bouncy castle. It was within walking distance of beach and restaurants etc. A really lovely area with plenty of choice of restaurants etc. Would highly recommend this hotel and the location of C'an Picafort.
