On the whole, we have enjoyed our holiday at the Alzinar Mar suites. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday, then this is ideal, and the clientele are generally of an older 50+ age group. If you are looking for something more upbeat and younger, then this is not really the place for you. Also, it's not exclusively adults only. Just adults recommended as we found out... Pros: - Nice, friendly, helpful staff who seem to work tirelessly for incredibly long hours. - Lots of choice every meal time. Food is constantly monitored and replaced quickly when items begin to run low. - Lovely pool and surrounding area. - Plenty of sunbeds and more can be put out if required. Beds with parasols can be very popular very early on though! - Hotel very clean in general, and rooms have plenty of space and storage - Easy walk to the beach and other bars / restaurants - All rooms face the pool area - Serene, and you can definitely relax during the day - Next door to a massive supermarket so you can stock up on extra bits if needed. There is a fridge in your room. - Good mix of English, Spanish, and German people all looking to have a nice time. Cons: - From the outside, it looks like a penitentiary centre with no windows! - Although the hotel is fairly modern, the rooms and outside do need a spruce up, and the decking needs some attention. - Hotel was sold to us via Love Holidays as 18+ Adults only. When we got here, there was a family with teens and other 2 other families with toddlers. Someone asked reception, and they said it's 'Adults only recommended', not exclusive. Love Holidays are looking into this. - Hotel location itself is a bit run-down, however, feels safe at night. - Pool staff start at 10 am and therefore not around to stop the early reservation of sunbeds by people. There are notices stating this is not allowed, but it still happens, and it's not enforced. - The hotel entertainment was not our sort of thing at all. Who does 'The Birdie Song' these days??!! 😆 - Rooms can feel hot. Air-conditioning is not great, unfortunately. - Could really do with tea / coffee facilities in your room.

This hotel is definitely not a 4*...maybe 3* with a push. We came with group of friends on Friday evening as our flight was delayed which meant we missed our lunch. Being hungry and tired we were told there is a snack bar that we can go and choose some food. We were stunned after finding the "snack bar" as there was only few slices of bread with ham and cheese and some left over cake. I have been on many all inclusive holidays but never seen "snack bar" like this. The food was very basic.. Many times cold and not fresh. Very small choice. Coffee tasted really bad. We had only one dinner which tasted good, with more options and it tastes fresh. Swimming pool OK but has green scum /slime around the edges. Never seen anyone cleaning it. Lots of sun loungers which was big plus. The staff very unfriendly... Sometimes made us feel u comfortable. Only young lady called Amanda and barman were nice and polite. Rooms were nice and clean. The air Con barely gave any cold air. The cleaning lady was nice but after cleaning our room she changed only 1 towel even though there were 3 people in the room. Entertainment very basic. We only enjoyed soul night that brought a liitle bit of life to this hotel. We checked out at 12 o clock and our taxi was booked for 4pm. We asked if we can have lunch as we missed one at the day of arrival we were told if we want to eat lunch the hotel will not return our deposit of 10 euros that we paid at the arrival. The lady at the reception was very rude after I questioned her about the deposit that they have no right of doing this especially considering that we missed our first lunch. Overall I would avoid this hotel. We paid for 4* experience we received 2*

Hotel suites were modern, bright and practical. Bed was comfortable and shower always hot. Floor could have done with more of a thorough clean every day though. Air con - not good. I would have thought the hotel would address this due to how many reviewers mention it - I was hit and uncomfortable at night due to the heat. Heaven knows what it’s like at the height of the season. Staff - ok - not overly friendly apart from our maid who was very friendly and helpful. Plenty of sun loungers around the lovely pool. Pool was clean. Grounds of hotel were beautiful and the decking surrounding the pool was nice. Breakfast - not that brilliant if I’m honest - but filled us each day - as usual in many hotels, queue for coffee and rubbish toasting device. A fair walk downhill to the beach - 15 minute walk or so. Lots close by - restaurants, bars, shops and supermarket. There was a fridge in the room - no water provided which would have been nice given that we arrived just after midnight. No coffee making facility but kettles were available from reception - free of charge. No iron or ironing boards available- apparently they had 2 irons but both got broken - unsure why they didn’t replace them? Shampoo, body wash and conditioner are all provided, along with hairdryer. Towels fir the pool are €10 deposit per towel. You can swap them for clean ones daily. Rooms were well soundproofed - never heard anyone being noisy. A short but enjoyable stay. Staff were more than happy to order us taxis too.

Absolutely Excellent Hotel . The room was cleaned every day, On arriving at the Hotel at midnight the receptionist offered us a glass of champagne or soft drink and escorted us to the Hotel room . The food was very good and all the facilities in and around the Hotel were superb. I would strongly recommend this Hotel for anyone who is going to Majorca

There are pros and cons to this hotel but it is definitely not a 4* hotel. The pros, large rooms and cleaned daily, nice pool area and loads of sunbeds. Cons. Unfriendly staff, on check in given no information whatsoever about the hotel, had to QR code for information. No toiletries in the room apart from the smallest bar of soap I've ever seen, two bottles of something in the shower but never used them as was unaware of the ingredients as the writing had washed away. Towels are small and no pool towel provided, although think you could "hire" one but was never told this. Luckily we only went b&b, the breakfast was definitely 3*, long queue for coffee machine, food choice rubbish and cold, we only went 3 days out of 7 and on two occasions the choice was brocoli one day and Brussel sprouts the next!! We ended up with boiled eggs and toast, the orange juice was horrendous like cordial. It looked like if you went AI you still had to.pay for most drinks, although discounted price, only 3 cocktails were free. Also they charged for bottled water, even on AI. Our room was above the kitchen, so woken up early every morning by staff talking loudly to each other, also we had a constant noise in our room, sounded like the air con but we didn't have this on, so assume it was the vents from the kitchen. It kept me awake 2 nights. As for the Aircon, I'm not a fan but did use it couple of times as it was warm for Sept. It wasn't very powerful, so I can understand the reviews about this. Entertainment, well the lady we saw was hilarious, singing songs from her ipad, didn't bother with any other shows after that. Catch the acts at Chocolate bar down the front, they were brilliant. We loved Can Picafort but would not return to this hotel.

I have recently got back from a week here with my sister (both in late 20s). We went half board. After reading some of the reviews we were slightly apprehensive but we both thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and wanted to share our experience to put other’s minds at ease! - We found all the staff to be really friendly and helpful, when we arrived in the early hours of the morning the man at reception was so welcoming and even offered us a glass of Prosecco. Restaurant staff worked really hard as it could get busy. Amanda in the restaurant particularly was so lovely, she remembered our drinks order each night and even moved a table outside for us when the outside area was full. - The pool area was great, loads of sunbeds and space to move around. It was a quiet so great to relax, but did played chilled music which was a nice vibe. We really liked the loungers in the shallow pool. - Rooms were modern, clean and really big. The air con wasn’t great, but it did the job for us and didn’t impact on the holiday too much! - Food in the restaurant was good, lots of fish, meat and different vegetables each night. We enjoyed the Spanish and Mallorcan nights in particular. Breakfast also good, very similar to other food we’ve had in 4-star hotels - The bar did great cocktails (especially the Mojitos) and drinks were well priced- around €3 for wine and €6-7 for cocktails. Bar staff helpful and friendly. Evening entertainment was different singers on a few nights, good for background music while enjoying a drink - We only ventured to the beach a few times, it could get busy in the evening. Classic holiday ***** with gift shops, bars and restaurants. We didn’t explore much but looked like you could easily get a bus from outside the hotel Overall we had a lovely time here. Some aspects of the hotel are getting slightly worn out/tired but these didn’t matter to us as we just wanted to come and unwind. Would recommend if you’re looking for a chilled holiday with a good pool vibe and to “fly and flop” like we did!

Overall online this hotel is marketed very well, the rooms are like the pictures and I do feel like some reviews are harsh about the food as we found it okay / average. Pros: - Big Pool, plenty of sun loungers - Room size is good and spacious, comfy bed and pillows - Aldi / Lidl nearby Cons: - Pool doesn’t get cleaned and has dirty tiles - Glasses left on the poolside from day before - Multiple times our beds haven’t been made and don’t get provided fresh towels (had to ask for them) even though the maid has been in as new toilet rolls were provided. - Location doesn’t have many bars around it, it is a 10/15 minute walk to the nearest set of restaurants. - Drinks prices change, one night we were charged €4.60 for 2 cokes and the next day it was €5.00 Would I come here again? Only as a last resort. Unsure where the 4 star has come from, possibly the refurbed rooms. If it wasn’t for the rooms I’d give it 2 star.

Info: We are a couple in our late 20s and booked this hotel for two weeks half board. This was my partner's first ever holiday abroad, I have been on lots of different holidays. This is quite a big review, so the short version is that there is NO AIR CON, it is not an adults only hotel as stated with On The Beach and the food is pretty rubbish, the facilities and entertainment are very poor and staff seem miserable. Long version: Upon arrival, it looked amazing. We were excited about how big it looked, how clean it looked (on the surface) and just happy to be on holiday. We were placed in Block 2 (back right) and were happy with our room initially. However, lots of issues started to arise from this night onwards... AIRCON: THERE IS NONE. Rooms are incredibly warm. I have lived abroad, and this was unreal. There was no relief from the heat, the air con didn't even go over our bed to cool us down when we were sleeping. We reported the next day and said it wasn't working, in which we were told to close the doors and it would work in 5-6 hours. We gave it a couple of days, but alas, to no avail. I went down again, and said the room was far too hot. This was after 2 nights of broken sleep for my partner and no sleep for myself. They said they would get the 'technician' out to look at the air con. We were at the pool all day, so never saw if anyone did come but assumed they had. However, when we went into our room, Aircon was still broken. We gave it one more night just to see but I ended up going down to reception at 3/3:30am crying because of the heat. The receptionist said there was nothing he could do at the moment as all the fans were already being used in the hotel and there were no rooms available for us. He said come down in the morning and ask for a new room. So I pretty much just stayed up until 7 and my partner and I asked for a new room. We were moved on day 6 of our 14 day holiday into the new building and it made a difference. Three vents instead of 2, however still very warm. If you appreciate sleeping, don't book here. FOOD: I am a vegetarian, and my partner is not. My partner says for a buffet the food was average. Lots of veal in different forms pretty much every night. There are no steak knifes and the veal is pretty tough - a minor issue but when it happens 13 times it's a bit rubbish. Lots of fish (which he avoided) and basic meals on rotation. However, I am a vegetarian and the food was awful for me. I could have cried every night. No vegetarian sauces for pasta. It was bolognaise every night. The only food for vegetarians was chips, green beans and spaghetti / pasta. But as I say, this wouldn't be bad if there was a sauce to go with or even some sort of main to go with the chips. I genuinely was deflated with tea every single night. Breakfast was great though and I tried to fill up as much as I could with cornflakes and toast. Desserts we both agreed were great! We really enjoyed the cakes and ice cream, this was g
