My girlfriends and I were planning a down south trip for four years and one of them suggested the Sanctuary Grand Memories as they had a wonderful experience the last time they visited. This was my first time in Cuba and it won’t be my last, the beaches are breath taking, the food is good (even tho they are struggling they make the best that they can, we also brought snacks) but the staff is exceptional, we were extremely lucky to have Carlos and Delvis as our butler in building 57, they were amazing, friendly, informative and always there when you needed them no matter what time - i.e I locked myself in my room with a travel lock the first day and at 6:45am Carlos came to my rescue and never complained once and understood when I told him I get anxious (you were able to be yourself and not feel any judgement at all) in which he reassured me that I had nothing to worry about and that we were safe. They would even answer me when I had the smallest request. They would check in, come by to see how our day was going, booking out a la carte. Even ensuring that I watch my sunburn. Even tho this may sounds like the smallest things to me it meant a lot, they made me feel at home. I worked in retail and customer services throughout the years and they really makes your experience a memorable one which is also important. Not only are butlers amazing but also the bartenders at the pool Delvis, Armando and Gilberto make your experience memorable, always smiling, chatting, remembering your drink, taking the time to see how your day is going and in the buffet area Yanaidys would welcome us with open arms, take good care of us and smiling and Pinto to at the bar area near the buffet was amazing! I highly recommend staying at the Sanctuary Grand Memories resort when visiting Cuba, if you want to have an unforgettable trip with amazing staff that make you feel like family. This will not be my last time I visit Cuba, especially this resort, I never felt sad leaving a place before the way I was sad leaving my home away from home for the week. I left a part of my heart in Cuba and I look forward to seeing Carlos and Delvis again in the future!
