Eype's Mouth Country Hotel

A lovely country hotel in a quiet valley only minutes away from the bustle and noise of West Bay. Fantastic views. Rooms were very comfortable. Meals were great. All staff were excellent, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend. Will visit again.

We had a wonderful stay here, a stop off on our travels to Devon. We were warmly welcomed by Syed the manager and quickly settled on the beautiful terrace with a glass of wine, the view is a 10/10. The rooms are clean and comfortable with a very generous welcome pack! We had dinner and it was delicious home cooked food, one of the best curries I have ever eaten! We will definitely be returning and look forward to see how the hotel evolves as the owners have only been there for 2 years. The hotel has character and charm and stunning views, would definitely recommend.

The hotel is in a lovely location, just a short walk to the beach. The room was nice and clean and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The menu's for the Bar and Admirals restaurant provide provide a good choice and the food is well presented and very tasty.

We reserved 14 rooms in the hotel for my sons wedding at Tithe Barn, Symondsbury Estate which was 10mins away. It was exquisite, characterful and the staff as wonderful as the location. The owner and manager were really focused on ensuring that they supported us to fit in with our timings. They located our more senior family members in ground floor rooms and with everything then on one level, it really helped. Plus there is parking directly outside the front door with a large car park behind. All rooms were extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated to the highest standard- each one individually quirky. From the crisp linen, calming colour schemes, super quality beds and classy touches like home made cake in the room on arrival. Do try a meal in the restaurant- they catered for our large party of guests with ease and charm. The food was of an extremely high standard and all ages were catered for. We made a point of thanking the chef, he is a rare find. I’ve read other reviews and the staff are mentioned over and over. Well, they are without exception, welcoming, accommodating and so kind. Their standards and compassion really brought the hotel to the next level and we thank them for being wonderful. The manager has trained them well and shining light at the heart of a seamless team. Location is stunning and a 5 minute walk from the beach which is beautiful too. Our stay was memorable and we would highly recommend this hotel- we absolutely loved every minute.

Amazing place can’t believe it amazing clean and comfortable place it loofrom heaven close to the beach different horses riding stables Staff are very nice and cooperative Appie who was a helpful in arrangement for some activities ❤️ love it soo much ❤️

We stayed here for one night at the end of June. The hotel is beautifully located with stunning views of Eype's Mouth. The staff were very friendly and obliging. Sadly, the room was a little dated, one of the bins had not been emptied from the previous occupant and the dinner left much to be desired, both in the quality and the speed of service. Starter and main were delivered and over within 40 minutes, We did not bother with dessert as the food was not up to the expected standard in our view. We would recommend this hotel for its quiet and beautiful location but not for its AA rosette cuisine.

Having just returned from a short break at Eype Mouth Hotel which was excellent Service From the booking of the break to departure All the staff fantastic nothing to much trouble Bedroom lovely with Sea View Decor very well thought out Food great weather was beautiful definitely recommend this Hotel to our Friends and Family Hopefully to return to this Hotel in the near future Well Done to all and thank you to all Eileen

This hotel is a gem with lovely views from bedrooms and the outdoor spaces. Unfortunately we were unable to enjoy sitting on the terrace due to the inhospittable weather that was more suited to November rather than mid June. We needed somewhere to stay local to Bridport to attend a funeral for a couple of nights but didnt want a large impersonal hotel Eypes Mouth Hotel is certainly not that. We were warmly welcomed on arrived and informed of times of meals etc and were recommended to book for that evening which we did. The food was excellent with a good variety of choice. We would have dined there again but had a family meal planned the next evening. The breakfast had a large variety of cereal, fruit, yoghurt, toast, fresh fruit plus of course a choice of hot breakfast with choice of tea or coffee. Our room faced a field of sheep with beautiful views of the sea. The bed was very comfortable and the room spotless. After a long drive the welcome note and treats was a lovely touch. All the staff were efficient, friendly including Luna who we found out was from Greece where we had been on holiday recently. The lane down to Eype is a little winding, up and down lane sometimes single track which in the dark can be a problem if you take the wrong turning as we did and had to do a 12 point turn to go back to the correct lane. We would not hesitate to recommend this hotel for a long or short stay and we were talking to some ladies who were on their third year running stay. Thank you.

So pleased we found this lovely hotel, it was great for visiting the area, beautiful views from our room which was very clean and comfortable. All meals in the hotel were of a high standard. Would definitely recommend. Only negative is the tiny country lane to get there.
