Hyatt Place Chesapeake is an excellent choice for those visiting this city for the first time. It's a safe neighborhood. The front desk staff are helpful. We love the connecting rooms. The breakfast is rich.

Front desk staff was very nice and helpful with questions. Breakfast was pretty good although redundant. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Would recommend.

For as much as they charge, each room should at least have a microwave and there should not be a fee just to extend your checkout time,

This is a pretty nice hotel. My wife and I have stayed there on two different trips now. The rooms are pleasant with aa L-shaped couch facing a TV, but the TV swivels so you can watch TV in bed.
The breakfast buffet leaves a bit to be desired (powdered eggs), but there are plenty of great restaurants within a 5 minute drive of the hotel.

My second stay at this property. Honestly there was nothing to be improved upon. Staff was friendly and always available. Room was perfect. Clean and spacious. Nothing appeared dated or worn. Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was immaculate. Breakfast buffet was expansive and delicious. I had a couple of beers and wings at the Placery. Wings were delicious and came hot from the kitchen. All things considered it was an ideal stay and I can recommend them without hesitation.

Overall the property was nice and for the most part clean. The staff were accommodating and worked with us during our stay.
The only downside, we were next to the elevator and it was awful! The noise from it throughout the night made it difficult to sleep.

Hotel is very clean and operates very professionally EXCEPT they charged us $20 extra to check in 90 minutes early. Incredible ripoff.

I have really enjoyed this hotel for many reasons. I like the shopping and food available nearby. Everything is very convenient. I also prefer to stay here, because it’s close to my brother’s house, so when I come to VA, I like to stay at your hotel. (even though the cost is a little more than other places in the area)
