Winckley Square Residences

Very nice room, high end fixtures and fittings, very clean, great facilities, smooth service from check in to check out. Excellent location over looking the park. If you’re looking for accommodation in Preston look no further than these rooms.

Nice place with a good view over Winckley Square. We just booked one night local to get out of the house as our son was having friends around for his 21st. As we left the 20 and 21yr olds behind, was quite surprised to be met by the unmistakable smell of **** in the living room of the flat. Not a massive problem to be fair, but the sickly smell does tend to linger. The flat is quite nicely fitted out in a faux art deco style. Little things let it down though - the sofa back was broken, so not comfortable to sit on, the towel radiator in the bathroom either desperately needs bleeding or the flow is blocked (only bottom 6 inch gets warm) so the bathroom was cold. The lounge and bedroom radiators were switched off, so the flat was cold and unwelcoming when we arrived. I switched them on and it warmed up reasonably quickly. There were little crappy portable electric heaters in each room, the type you get in construction site porta-cabins. Doesn't really go with the art deco ambience they've tried hard to create. Would it not be better to just switch on the rads? Getting in via the key safe was easy and the bed was comfortable. Not bad overall.

Well lit up buildings. Easy to find. Really clean. Liked the milk, tea, bags or crisps provided. All amenities taken care of

Highly recommend. Absolutely perfect apartment. Super location and impeccably clean. High spec finish...everything you could possibly need and more. A few minutes walk from the station. Very comfortable and would def stay again.

Absolutely great apartments. Very clean, high spec finish, lovely linen and great location: central to Preston centre, minutes from the train station and Avenham Park, just yards away is a stunning park by the river and a must visit. Can't rate the place highly enough. We will be recommending it to others and would definitely book again.

Perfectly situated on corner of winckley square, quiet at night but right on the doorstep of the town centre and avenham park....simple, elegant decor and loved the bath...highly recommended

I initially booked and paid for this stay back in January but due to ill health I could no longer stay. The stay was put on credit for me and less than a week ago I got in touch asking if it was possible to use the stay this weekend just gone due to a mishap with calendar clashes. With no issues or delays, it was instantly organised for myself and my partner to stay there, and our room was even upgraded a larger room which was available at short notice. I questioned late at night when I arrived where I could park due to uncertainties with signage, and was immediately advised whilst I was still in the car! We stayed in the Lime Tree room and it was beautiful! Very modern, thoroughly clean, and there were even tea, coffee, milk, bottled water and snacks available which was a great finishing touch and a saving grace for the unorganised! The bed was extremely comfortable, the bedding is great hotel quality too. We will be regularly visiting Preston for our sport as we compete in a local Strength & Performance gym, and we absolutely will be back. It’s definitely made us rethink about driving up and down the country on the day, and put us at ease after previous bad experiences. Winkley Square Residences is the place to stay if you are ever in Preston, located in a lovely area, and an even nicer place to rest your head, run by very helpful and genuinely nice people.
