The Old Bakehouse

Very welcoming host, lovely room with comfortable bed and excellent breakfast. Bright and clean bathroom with shower. Parking space available was very useful. No hesitation in recommending the Old Bakehouse, great location in centre of Colyton and walking distance to shope and restaurants.

Excellent stay at the Old Bakehouse. A warm and friendly welcome and Steven & Fiona so helpful and attentive. Bedroom cosy and very clean with lovely aspect onto town. A beautifully run guest house with delicious breakfast. Interesting books and vinyl collection. Highly recommended.

Fantastic - a very welcoming and enjoyable stay at the Old Bakehouse - Fiona and Steve were so friendly, helpful and very attentive to every detail. Room was very clean and comfortable. Breakfast superb - cooked to perfection. Although no on-site parking there is parking available at a public car park (very close) and close/safe on street parking. A wonderful stay 10/10 - would absolutely recommend The Old Bakehouse. Will be the No1 Go to when we are next in Devon. The Warrens are warm, friendly and attentive. They are also knowledgeable about the village and the area. The beds are comfortable, the breakfasts excellent and the rooms are scrupulously clean. We look forward to staying here again Highly recommended.

The Old Bakehouse was fantastic, where shall I begin . The hosts Steve+Fiona were so welcoming we were greeted at the door by Steve asked what we wanted for breakfast the next morning and shown to our room . The room was very clean and quirky the toiletries were really nice and bed was very comfortable. Proper tea pig teabags and coffee bags biscuits every day . The breakfast choices were fabulous even including smoked salmon and kippers. The full English was amazing all locally sourced meat and eggs . There is also a 2 bedroom cottage for rental which I think we will go to next time you won't be dissapointed if you stay at the old bakehouse. Also very central colyton is a really nice town and it's close to Seaton,beer and other quaint little villages book up soon as its very busy n the summer . Thanks Steve and Fiona And a special thank you for the young lady who served us on Saturday very professional for someone so young.

Really enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Old Bakehouse. Steve and Fiona were brilliant hosts. Everything was neat and clean and comfortable. The cooked breakfasts were delicious with plenty of choice. Having use of the lounge was great as Steve’s record collection was definitely worth a listen. Thoroughly recommend and definitely looking forward to staying again.

Stayed for 2 nights at this lovely B&B. Steve, the host, gave us a warm, friendly greeting when we arrived. He told us we could make use of the guest sitting room & were welcome to use the record player if we wanted to as he had a selection of vinyl records. We didn't get a chance to do this but it was great having the records playing at breakfast. Our room was nice & bright. Lovely tea tray with tea bags, coffee bags, etc, fresh water & biscuits. Toiletries are provided along with nice fluffy towels. We ate in the pub opposite the B&B, The Kingfisher, the first night & had a good meal. It was very busy but the service was good. At breakfast we opted for a full English which was very tasty with locally sourced ingredients. There was also a selection of cereals, fruit juices, fruit & preserves, tea & coffee. There is no private allocated parking but there are plenty of places to park free very close by, we never had any trouble finding a spot. Steve was a great host, very friendly & helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our stay & would not hesitate to stay again if we were in the area.

We could not fault our stay. Steve & Fiona were wonderful hosts and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Super breakfasts and plenty of choice. The rooms and everything was spotlessly clean. The beds were comfy and the bedding was white. Plenty of towels, clean, white and fluffy. Lovely bathroom and lots of added gels etc. TV and tea and coffee and biscuits in the room and replenished every day. Cannot recommend enough and we will definitely return there when visiting Colyton.

We stayed for two nights whilst husband was competing at Wiscombe - a 15 minute drive so very handy. Room felt small but was very comfortable and had (almost) everything that was needed (please add decaf options to the rooms!) Lovely powerful shower, wonderfully thick towels. Fiona and Steve were great hosts. Early breakfasts weren't an issue and were delicious. Great pub (The Kingfisher) opposite the B&B. I would highly recommend.
