Great hotel overlooking the canals - the ambiance, the finish and the amenity at the Hope Harbour Hotel was outstanding. Beautifully built (it used to be the Ramada) spacious, big open deck overlooking the canals and boats. Nice little bar and separate dining room - again overlooking the canal. Staff and service was very good - it was personal and felt very comfortable just being there. Twin room with balcony overlooking the canal. Beautiful beds and lovely pillows - good size TV, excellent bathroom and tea/coffee plus fridge in the room.

Only issue was car park. Site advised there was car parking on site however didn’t say it was $10 per night and needed to be booked extra.

Just stayed at Sky Island Studios to celebrate my birthday and could not have asked for a better experience. I was met by Jessica upon arrival, who made both myself and my wife feel very welcome. The cake in the fridge and message on blackboard was a delight! The cabins are beautiful - was wonderful to wake up to the sounds of birds while watching sunrise in the morning. Breakfast on the deck was spectacular - and the banana choc smoothie was just the right way to start the day! Huge thanks to Jessica and Albert for their hospitality and look forward to visiting again.

I stayed here about 2 weeks in early Jan. I got a bed next to a balcony in a 6 beds room which gave me little extra privacy. The room was cleaned fine throughout my stay. The bed was not large but comfortable with a nice mattress, light and power sockets. There is a bathroom for a toilet and a shower (not separated) for the room. So, I had to share it with 5 others when all beds were filled. Common area at the basement was pretty good for having nice furnitures. The kitchen and dining areas were cozy and spacious. You need $1 or $2 coins for laundry and dryer ($3 each). If you struggle to prepare coins, apparently there is a self-service laundry and cash dispenser nearby (I didn't try it though). Definitely confusing to find the reception for check-in. You need to walk through between The Island and a teppanyaki restaurant on Surfers Paradise Blvd.

I sit and write this during a current stay far from impressed and wishing we had booked elsewhere! Whilst close to Seaworld itself it is otherwise completely off the beaten track and you need a car or to spend $$ on public transport (or to be content just staying at the resort for the duration of the stay). Other than the restaurants in the resort there are no other restaurants within east walking distance. An Uber to Broadbeach/Pacific Fair was $25 one way. There is a free shuttle to Pacific Fair bit for one of the scheduled departures it did not arrive today. The rooms are clean but basic and extremely noisy. Yes this is a family resort but I still think the noise is well beyond any other family resort I have stayed in of similar value. The bathrooms are dated despite being described in the ‘luxury escapes’ ad as stylish with pastel hues (pastel yes…stylish and/or modern definite no). There appears to be very little noise proofing between rooms. The ‘corridors’ are frequently adorned with used towels or used room service trays that the ‘bin chickens’ are having a go at and spreading the contents. Overall I would not recommend it for a stay.

Great service. The hotel rooms are quite spaced out and my room was a bit far from the reception/main areas but there are buggies everywhere which you could request for transfer. No complementary water provided though

Wonderful bouji hotel with wonderful staff, but a bit tired with a lot of repairs needed. Breakfast was incredible and poolside lunch great value. Room was tired but beds comfy and great view. Indoor pool and sauna advertised has been closed for two years! And the outdoor pool is unheated due to a faulty pool heater again no plan to fix , it is easy to see why Versace is terminating the contract and removing branding . The outdoor pool with sand beach is a nice touch for families with kids Top tip visit the peters fish bar next door for a fab fresh fish and chip dinner , Shopping centre beside is also nice,

The room and views were amazing. Property very clean, spacious and overall lovely property. The only problem was a howling wind that rattled the sliding door that kept us awake all night. We put a pillow up against the glass door, we opened the glass door slightly, but nothing stopped the noise. We advised on check out and we were told ”sorry” that's it. No offer of a $50 discount- nothing. $1000 for 2 nights accommodation with one night without sleep....

We were placed here by our insurance company NRMA for temporary accommodation due to our home being flooded. We live in the Resort so we know the Peninsula townhouses are fairly modern maybe 4 -5 years old, however it is obvious that townhouse 16 (3 bedroom townhouse) has had very little done to it since being built. Aside from obvious maintenance issues that need to be addressed - torn carpet, walls damaged and marked, broken/ dirty stove exhaust, stained doonas and pillows which all should be regularly maintained and replaced if needed, it was the cleanliness of the place that we couldn't deal with - mould in the showers, built up scum on the shower rails, dirty glass/ windows/ blinds/ all the kitchen items I had to wash prior to using. All the light switches covered in dust from not being wiped over in a very long time -yuck. The skirtings I started cleaning with my cloths came up with black on them so have obviously not been done in months. I moved the downstairs furniture to sweep it all properly & found a paper towel roll and crumbs under the coffee table and lounges so obviously only gets vaccumed around the furniture, I made the ultimate mistake getting down on my hands and knees to look under the bed this morning to check nothing had been left behind- I wish I hadn't... I'll leave it at that, toilet brushes - obviously the original ones from 2018 - use your imagination. There was a dust pan but no broom, a mop but no bucket, no cleaning cloths, 2 x satchets of washing liquid and 2 satchets of dishwasher powder & 1 x tea towel, no cleaning spray, 3 forks, 3 cups, minimal crockey. So we had to go get all that stuff from home to clean the place enough and be able to cook so that we could at least deal with the few days we were there, the insurance co ended up extending our stay another week but we refused to stay, and said we would rather stay in a tent in the big 4 in the rain than spend another night in this filthy place. We let the managers know so they are aware of the issues, they came in yesterday and placed some more bowls and glassware and forks as there wasn't enough for the 5 of us....... that was it. We have been hotel hopping for the past 5 weeks this was the 4th place we have stayed in, it was the newest but by far the filthiest and worst maintained. We stayed in the Royal Woods Resort in Ashmore prior to this and although it is quite dated you could not fault the cleanliness of the place, we were in an AirBNB prior to that in Biggera Waters which was immaculate, and the Broadwater Shores in Runaway Bay prior to that which is quite dated but still very clean. There is no excuse for the managers/ owners to allow this townhouse to rent this as short term accommodation in the state that it is for the $$ they are charging, I'm only glad we didn't have to pay for it, if we had we would have left day one and demanded a refund.
