Rapid settlement. The room is clean, good view from most of the rooms Good quality food there is animation both daytime and evening Of the shortcomings - The furniture in the room is already "tired". - the glasses in the bar on the beach do not have time to dry after washing

Had to stay for one night after our flight was cancelled. Cheap beds and one pillow. No sleep whatsoever. I wouldn’t stay there if you paid me! Patio door wouldn’t lock. Someone from our flight also explained blood on the sheets and room full of bugs!

A beachfront complex with plenty for everyone, large pools, great food and suits couples, families. It was a last minute booking with an all inclusive option, very well worth it. Spotlessly clean and the staff were friendly and helpful and spoke a number of language’s.

Best deal so far this year. The staff, friendliness, professionalism, helpfulness. The food. The location The facilities all typical 4 star. Wait for the positive bit. The building is a little run down, bit for good reason. It's being all refurbished soon. When it is, it will be amazing inside and out. But right now, this is possibly the best value for money hotel in Fuerteventura. Everything (except for some pealing paint and missing tiles) is very typical 4 star, and very pleasant. Even for 4 star, I'd say it offers excellent quality. But at the moment you can get this amazing hotel (thanks to the food, staff and location) for an amazing price. If you want to pay 3 star, but get 4 star, this is the hotel for you. Get a bargain. Once it has been refurbished the price will probably double. And we'll still go back to it. It's that good. Thanks to everyone who works there for a great time.

This is not a 4 star hotel, 2 at the most. Very outdated. Cigarettes left everywhere on the beach. Perhaps understaffed as they struggle to accommodate for all guests in busy times during meals (hardly keeping up with clearing tables for people coming in to dine, with dishes dirty most of the time) and in the evening when you’re trying to get a drink (queue time is about 15 minutes). The food is ok for few days being there but it gets boring and it’s always cold. One person on the bar during the day, stressed out. Drinks machines constantly break, when I tried to get a coffee and asked a lady working on the bar for some milk I waited 15 minutes, then asked again if it’s possible to get some she raised her voice and answered rudely ”I am the only one here, 1 person for all so you have to wait!”. Having second cockroach in our room I went to reception to ask if cleaner could attend to get rid of it I was answered ”Just like you have rats in your houses in London, we have cockroaches here!”. When cleaner came she was lovely and left us with a spray to use if needed. Guests are mainly of older age, and majority come from Germany. Unfortunately we didn’t feel welcome or have a nice experience as result, and thankfully have met few couples from UK who have said the same thing and were looking forward to return home. We’ve noticed number of Nazi signs scrapped on toilet and lifts doors and one couple reported it to the management who have said they were not aware of it. We’ve never been judgemental of anyone so far but when you’ve been stared at all day each day, or people move tables just cause you sit next to them it becomes frustrating. One English lady was walking through the door and a man tried to push through, when she kindly said excuse me what’s happening, he pushed her out the door. Trying to escape the horrible atmosphere of this place we went to enquire about local trips. A lady at the information point asked us if we speak German, we said no, and she said well I’m gonna try to explain in English. We said we were interested in Wildlife exploration, and she has only recommended a local historian building to visit that was occupied by Nazizs during the war, by saying ”I don’t know what happened there but yes you can pay to go and see it”. I answered, as I said we were interested in Wildlife…and we walked away. Nothing to do around the area with one pub (German) and few local shops. 2 girls came from UK checked in and went to the bar area to get a drink. They had tattoos on them and just looked different, which didn’t bother us. One man stood in front of them, made a noise and express how horrible they looked in his opinion and the girls checked out after 4 hours of being there leaving in tears. Our room was in front of the jacuzzi room which smelled very badly. The nice views, pools and palm trees do not replace the feeling of being judged everywhere you go.

All inclusive for seven nights was outstanding value. It's a well-run hotel with friendly and pleasant staff and good facilities. It's also in a lovely location, and the private beach and surrounding beaches are beaches where you can go out relatively far without the water becoming very deep whereas I found that the beaches further up the coast get deeper much quicker. The room was spacious, maybe a little spartan but I don't go on holidays to stay in my room so it didn't really matter and I appreciated the free Wifi and the balcony with a view of the sea. Everything is here for a great holiday, with the possibility of booking excursions, bike hire nearby, tennis and padel centre nearby, kite-surfing and wind-surfing a few kilometres away, and shops just half a kilometre away. I also had a very good massage in the hotel spa. There's a nice palm tree-lined walking and cycling paths that run for around 2.5 kilometres that are away from the hotels and road and bring you up to the top of the town - ots of people go out for a walk there in the evening. There are lots of different beaches within walking distance, including Matas, Esmaralda, Paraisa and the most spectacular one, Sotavento, which you could walk to in around 45 minutes (there is also a bicycle path there) which is quite windy and mostly for windsurfing and not really for swimmers but looks spectacular. One day I took the No 5 bus (bus stop is just 200 metres from the hotel) to the town of Morro Jable (just 2.70 euros each way) which as well as being a large town with many clothes and other shops, also has lovely beaches. There is an AllTrails hike from La Lajita (near Costa Calma) to Morre Jable also. I would definitely return, although Fuerteventura does get a steady wind which can be a little offputting at times and can make the sea a little choppy at times. Still had a great time.

This is an honest assessment of this hotel. Firstly don’t book fuertaventura in March/April. Apparently the last 10 years has been bad weather those months and it will put a downer on your holiday. Secondly do not holiday in Costa Calma. It is dead! Hardly any shops and little to do other than go to the beach. Right about the hotel… Good things: 1. When you arrive the foyer and reception area is amazing. 2. The pool areas are amazing. 3. The beach area is amazing. 4. The bar staff are fantastic. Bad things: 1. Reception staff were rude. They didn’t seem to believe us when reporting issues. It just showed they had little interest. 2. Room was terrible. The balcony doors are unsafe and screwed shut. Fire hazard! This was for both rooms because we demanded to be moved. Plaster damage on walls. Insufficient bedding. Sheets are terrible and bed is terrible. Ants in the room everywhere. They need a total upgrade and modernising. The hotel description says they are vibrant and modern. They are not! 3. Food. It’s made with no love. It’s the same thing nearly everyday. You would be lucky to get anything from 2:30 - 6pm. There’s no snack bar even. And you need to go about a mile to find one of about only 6 restaurants in the town. 4. Entertainment. Absent at best. There may be a kids club but there’s nothing for adults. No music hardly. Play some round the pool at least! The birdie song in German is about as great as it gets. 5. Public areas in what was the Nautilius beach resort. So part of the hotel was a former hotel and it shows. Derelict looking with cordoned off areas. No spa. No gym. You have to go to a sister hotel for these. The beach front bar is so under utilised. 6. No WiFi. So slow and mostly impossible to connect. And when it rains you want to be able to watch movies on your devices. 7. It caters purely for German tourists. No thought for British or other tourists at all. This hotel does not live up to its description and it ruined our holiday leaving us more stressed coming home. We will never visit this place again or use this hotel. Could not wait to leave! Such a shame because there is loads of potential.

I have rated this 3 not for any nasty reasons, The Hotel was clean, the staff was very friendly, the price I paid was a complete bargain, however I do travel the world and always avoid Spain on the Spanish islands.. You can get so much more from a 4star, no water in your room that really messed with my head 😅😅, Breakfast am up early so having to wait till 8am I didn’t like… The drink options, I found really good… I would recommend this to people but I wouldn’t go back

Having just returned from my second stay and having booked my third I was looking at reviews out of curiosity…I’m struggling with what people expect from a four star in Europe hotel…I absolutely love here, rooms are clean and have a bed, toilet and shower which is all I require on holiday as don’t pay for a holiday to sit admiring the room anyway! Self service selection on some drinks is an instant winner for me, so what you don’t get served wine? Who cares? Sounds like you need to pay more for your holiday if you expect that service. Food is plentiful and so many options it’s the best I’ve had anywhere I’ve been in Europe AI. Only downside is sometimes it’s not always hot hot but I wouldn’t expect anything else in a buffet restaurant (I didn’t pay for freshly cooked!) But I’m more than happy to stick it in the microwave that’s there to get it hot. The only thing I would suggest is maybe more bar staff as queues occur in the evening and at pool bar but didn’t really affect us as didn’t require any drinks that weren’t self service. but being the winter months I’ve been (Nov and March) there’s only been the one pool bar open although there are more which I’m guessing are open high season. Animation team try hard but again can’t comment really as didn’t see any evening entertainment. Looking forward to returning in November for a bit of winter sun and some chill time in a quiet location. Thank you for the fabulous free upgrade on our room and the bottle of fizz on my birthday in the room and the nicely laid table with more fizz in the restaurant. Very nice touch from the hotel. Will be my partners 50th when we’re there in November so nice to know the kindness given on such a day.
