The Lakes by Yoo

The pictures of the hotel part don’t really do it justice and I’d suggest an external shot is added to advertising material. Facilities are really impressive, stylish and design led, albeit the hot tub wasn’t working during our stay. Overall, I definitely come back and stay in one of the larger properties.

Still under construction, felt unestablished. Spa was ok but nothing special. The bedroom was lovely but no fresh milk or biscuits. No ambience. I think it’s trying to be an upmarket Center Parcs but doesn’t work from our experience.

After recommended this place to friends and family we decided to visit again this being our 5th visit only to be disappointed with a huge drop in standards, firstly the cleaning standards were extremely poor hardly being able to see out of the dirty windows, the tables weren't cleaned properly, dust was on the backs of the seating the floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned in week ,the dress Code of the staff were in joggers and trainers although they were polite. It's such a shame to see a drop o In standards.

We stayed in a 3-bedroom apartment which was absolutely gorgeous and perfect for our family. The spa was lovely and the massage one of the best I’ve had. What we felt really let Lakes By Yoo down was the restaurant.. there’s only one on site, with a limited menu, and it’s a tent so we were absolutely freezing. Really felt they missed a trick not offering a range of eateries.

Wonderful, romantic stay at the lakes with my husband. The staff were faultless, really helpful and welcoming. We will be returning asap and are already looking at dates we can return in the spring.

We won a night’s stay at Lakes By Yoo and initially thought it was a scam! Everything about the venue and apartment was luxurious and very relaxing. Some very special touches, a home made lemon drizzle cake and jam which was delicious. Butter, milk and fresh bread. Lots of tea and coffee and a coffee machine. The surroundings are so peaceful and the apartment was stunning, looking on to the lake. Will be saving up for a return trip.

This was the most beautiful staycation we have ever had and everything was perfect from the moment we arrived. The kitchen had all the facilities and the decor was amazing. I couldn’t fault this place even if I tried.

Wow....what a great experience to stay on such a wonderful estate. A memorable experience...shame it was only for 3 nights. The apartment was superb, spa was incredible and all the staff we met were wonderful.

This could have so easily been a 5* review, but little things let it down. The location is amazing, the cabin was beautiful, almost everything was on hand. The kitchen area was small but perfectly formed, the downstairs bathroom was stunning with a slipper bath and lovely shower. The upstairs bathroom was a little disappointing with a cheap shower head that was badly limescaled. And the biggest let down, loo roll….. about half a roll in each bathroom and no spare. Really! You couldn’t bung a spare in each room…. For that price! We booked for the spa on our last day, got to the restaurant and they new nothing about it (Brunch is included) they kindly sorted that out for us, and we received our vouchers and letter regarding our treatments. Upon arriving at the spa we weren’t given the robes and slippers (as per the letter) and it was all a bit chaotic. Almost like it was all new, but it isn’t. No process in place was the feeling we got. The massage itself was divine but we didn’t really make use of the pool etc as my friend felt uncomfortable without the robe. Again, could have been 5* but this only got 3* and again, not cheap. Overall it was lovely, we went wild swimming in the lake had a lovely walk round the resort, and the staff were all incredibly helpful. But for what it cost we expected a little bit more. Could do better would be the report.
