I've stayed at this location multiple times. It is a good location and I enjoy the house band in the pub (located in the basement). The Kempeski is definitely showing its ago, however. The marblework in the bathroom is cracked and some of the flooring is stained. The public bathroom (to the right of the lobby) is in desperate need of a makeover, i.e. recaulk the edges of the lavatory and do a deep steam cleaning of all tile. Breakfast was superb and the wait staff was doing a great job turning tables around for the next customers. I would probably stay again, but only if the prices are reduced.

Is a nice hotel, with a bunch of available services. Was a pity they don't have a biguer room or family rooms available , so we get a tween room, that was fine also. Restaurant is good, breakfast have a good varaiaty of food . Location is great, not far for many interesting places in the city.

I can safely say Intercontinental is one of the best hotels in Dalian after having stayed in many Dalian hotels. For starters we got a room upgrade and early check in and late check out. The hotel also gave us complimentary coffee and fruit soon after checking in. The room was clean, comfortable, modern and had a gorgeous city view. The amenities were satisfactory and their Breakfast buffet had a wide range of Western and Chinese cuisine to choose from. Special thanks to Jason from the fitness centre and Winnie and Kevin from the front desk for their excellent service they especially made sure our stay was enjoyable. The only downside is that I think the Chinese restaurant staff could use some training the service there was the least professional but in my opinion it didn't takeaway from the overall experience.

To be honest, I expected a lot for this hotel. Well too much expectation. 我想太多了！ The room, when we first entered it was smelly like I don’t know…like an old room. Clean, yes. But the smell not so ok especially when we have a baby. The Electric plugs, OMG😱 PLEASE FIX IT !!! At first it was ok but then it stopped everywhere. We need to find which electric plug works so we can boil the water and charge our phones. And the last, the WIFI. Speechless on this one. I was thinking that I can do my work during stay at this hotel. But the connection sooooo poor !!!!! I had to use my personal hotspot from my phone to do my work using laptop. Well…I spoke to the receptionist but they said, well maybe because of a lot of people are using it. Well….it’s a big hotel, not a small apartment or even house. Anyways….next time I won’t take much higher expectations on this. Tks!

Pleasant hotel with a good outdoor seating. The bathroom was spacious and shower and toilet are distinctly separated. Breakfast is decent but could be better. They offer meals for lunch and dinner which are fairly priced. The sliders I ordered were only 60-80rmb and they tasted yum! The hotel is nicely located at the beach front and is less crowded during the holiday, but our king sized room was in front of three trees that were blocking the view of the ocean. Other than that it was a cool experience.

This second time staying here, like the first, didn't disappoint. As before, visiting during the off-peak time is ideal for a quiet, uncrowded getaway. The sea-view room is welcoming and comfortable, with a view that is uncluttered and peaceful; opening the patio doors to the sound of waves rolling in equals instant relaxation. Aside from having a super comfortable bed and all the useful amenities one could need, there were simple niceties about the room, like the ability to adjust the temperature and fan speed (which runs quietly without disturbing sleep), ample hot water to fill a soaker tub, and multiple options for adjusting the room lighting. The hotel is immaculately clean, the grounds are meticulously maintained, and access to the beach is just steps away. The breakfast is substantial, with a variety of both Chinese and Western dishes. The staff was friendly and happy to care for our needs, even providing a power converter which I forgot to pack. Those in search of a quiet escape from the hustle and bustle of the city can't go wrong by staying here. Highly recommend, and hope to visit again in the future. Hats off to the staff. 感谢你们让我们住得特别舒服！

An overall good hotel though large, meaning some areas were crowded—for example the restaurant at breakfast, or the pool. The rooms were nice if not particularly unique, certainly with the feel of a large big-brand hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. A nice location with good views. This is an honest review that is not meant to dissuade anyone but to offer a thorough unbiased review. My opinion of New World before my stay was that it was a 5 star hotel, it certainly wasn't horrible, but after my stay and comparing to other Dalian hotels in its league that I've stayed in, think it doesn't fit the bill for a 5 star hotel. I can't complain about the service, Check in was swift and we got a free room upgrade and spa coupons, but the hotel room carpet was stained, there was dust in some places and the furniture and room amenities are aging, slightly dated and need to be improved (I didn't feel the need to zoom in on those issues so the pictures wont reflect this) . I loved that there were lovely art pieces throughtout the hotel and the fitness centre was top notch especially the heated pool. The breakfast buffet had fewer options than expected for a hotel of that standard but it was honestly delicious and satisfactory, they had both Chinese and Western dishes, fruit and cereal. The waitresses from Guo restaurant had the best service they went out of their way to make our dinner pleasant. The most disconcerting issue I had with New World was that the room deposit refund took longer than I've ever experienced, I found it highly unusual and somewhat disappointing because I've stayed in a lot of 5 star hotels and usually the refund is instant but they told us it would take up to 3 days. Maybe this is standard practice for them but it made no sense to me and I've never had to wait that long. In any case surely it doesn't take 3 days to check a room!

The staff at the front desk were really kind and English was also comfortable. The room was spacious enough and comfortable, especially with a bidet in the bathroom. However, I stayed on the 10th floor, but it was a little disappointing that the room with a bad view of the building in front was blocked, and I turned on the heating, but the cold wind kept coming out, so I asked for a separate heater, so it was less cold. Hotel facilities such as saunas and restaurants in the hotel have great convenience like a global brand five-star hotel, especially because it is located in the center of the city, so it was very convenient wherever you went. The hotel was famous, so the taxi drivers quickly found the location and arrived quickly. I am thinking of using it again when I come to Dalian next time. Thank you for your warm hospitality.

The hotel's facilities are relatively new, and the sanitary conditions are very good. Because the epidemic has just been lifted, there is no chance to eat the hotel's buffet breakfast. Overall good, the room was spacious but the room had smoking odor, under the bed was unclean, the bathroom need to change the curtain regularly and have some cracks near bathtub. We feel disappointed because we expect if we booked to stay in this hotel we could have access free to swimming pool.. but it’s not, we need to pay additional fees per person to go to swimming pool or upgrade the room in nextdoor hotel.. please add more information for this hotel if we want to swim need to pay more fees.. In an apartment building (No. 8 Qingniwa), the 11th to 18th floors are the hotel area, which is very close to the train station, shopping malls, and subways. There is Lawson and snack street downstairs, and New Mart and Centennial City are across the road. Business travel self-service welcome afternoon tea: This service is not bad, with fruits, snacks and drinks. The breakfast is standard, and there is really nothing to eat when you go late. The room is quite spacious, and the TV is really speechless. It is embarrassing to call it Internet TV. There are four central channels in total, 1, 3, 5, and 6, and they are all snowflakes, which is better than nothing. The robot delivery is OK, there is wind in the room window, and it will be a bit cold without air conditioning. The bathroom is slightly cramped compared to the room. Except for the cafe on the 11th floor of the restaurant, it is really hard to tell that it is a relatively new serviced apartment in the room alone.
