We arrived late at night and were charged $110 for the room, expecting a reasonable level of comfort. However, the reality fell short of even basic expectations. The bed in our room was noticeably sloped to one side, causing an uncomfortable night of sliding into each other. The lack of insulation in the room became apparent with the window heating unit. It operated noisily, blasting hot air into the room for a brief 5 minutes, only to click back on after a 5-second pause – an incessant cycle that persisted throughout the night. Hygiene was another concern as we discovered visible mold in the shower. Adding to the inconvenience, the shower head was unusually short, making it awkward and uncomfortable during use. While the owner was friendly, and we appreciate the challenges of running a small-town motel, the overall quality of our stay did not match the cost, especially when compared to other options in the area. The quirky nautical-themed artwork and curious wire cover over the mirror, which seemed haphazardly adjusted, provided some unintentional amusement. However, these small touches did little to compensate for the fundamental discomfort. We feel it's important to share our honest feedback as our expectations were not met, and we hope this helps future travelers make informed decisions. If the room was $40/night I wouldn't be writing this review.
