Hotel Seminario Aeropuerto Bilbao ★★★
"This hotel is a complete rip-off. The reality is nothing like the pictures. We booked a double room and ended up with twin beds. The room was super basic and not that clean. We paid 150 a night for this. No shops or facilities nearby. Strange setup as rooms only on the 5th floor. No TV signal. A kettle and one sachet of instant coffee. A dingy bike store behind the hotel without individual locks and no pump. You'd be far better off in Formula 1 or equivalent. Very disappoint - avoid for this money."

Holiday Inn Express BILBAO by IHG ★★★
"The location is remote, suitable for self-driving, the facilities are old, and the service staff is enthusiastic. The room is clean and close to the highway. It is relatively quiet. Although the breakfast is not rich, it is acceptable."

Travelodge Bilbao Sestao ★★★
"The hotel is new and the stay was very pleasant. I'd give a perfect ten to the short-haired redhead waitress at the bar. She was an excellent and super attentive employee. If I have to mention one thing, our room was on the side of the train tracks and we could hear them all night. That was a drawback. But I liked it enough to want to come back, though next time I'll ask for a room on a different side."

Hotel New Bilbao Airport ★★★
"The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the receptionists were helpful and friendly throughout my stay.  However, the air conditioning was not working properly, and the room was far too hot to sleep in, especially considering I visited in April. This made the overnight stay less comfortable than expected."

Hospedium Hotel Blu Loiu ★★★
"A slightly run-down hotel, close to the airport, a church whose bell tower rings regularly, and the community space where the festivities of the city of Loiu take place. We had trouble falling asleep because there was very loud party noise until 1:00 in the morning. The hotel is far from the city center of Bilbao. Taxi drivers do not know how to get there. In addition, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere pleasant."

B&B HOTEL Castro Urdiales ★★★
"The cleaning is done by a subcontractor and it's terrible, at least in my room. One night they didn't make my bed. They barely cleaned anything and didn't even leave me a towel. Luckily, reception let me change rooms. I was very grateful for that. The room itself is spacious and comfortable. The location is at the entrance to Castro, so you have to drive if you want to go to the city center or use another form of transport. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone for that reason. I would return if they guaranteed good cleaning service; that's the least they could do. Perhaps I just had a bad experience. I was about to fill out a complaint form, but when I changed rooms, I decided against it."
